In this video Bunny explains how to develop green fingers and what the old Chinese Proverb ‘The Shadow of The Gardener is the Best Fertiliser’ really means, and why it makes total sense and is far more effective than anything else you can apply to your garden.

Thank's Bunny. As always loads of great tips to build up my practical skills. The way you talked about managing Wisteria to get maximum flowering just makes so much sense. I love the view you take that explores the balance of Looking, intervention and simply letting nature get on with things. I am having trees crown lifted and reshaped this autumn and will definitely be asking them to leave behind and wood shavings for top dressing in spring. Another great tip. Oh, and by the way, Is your garden ever opened for NGA days?

I lost a couple of plants in pots. The tap root in both cases blocked the drainage hole and the plants died through drowning. Followed your advice and now take the bottoms out of all pots that have permanent plants in them. What a difference!!! Thank you for all your advice, so valuable .

I remember when you cut back the hornbeam arch, put in the serpentine path, and planted your dry shade border. It looks fantastic! I try to get outside and do a 'walkabout' every day. I've rescued a number of plants that had been dug up overnight by my local street gang of raccoons and skunks on the prowl for grubs and earthworms. All day with the roots in the sun, and the plants are goners, so I'm glad to catch them early. Weed control is extra hard when owners of adjacent properties let everything go to seed, and the wind blows my way. I did, however, eradicate the tumbleweeds (originally from the Russian Steppes, they love it here in the western U.S.). This year working on the nettles. Gardening is a process!!!

There was a man who had no interest in either flower or vegetable garden's. We live in a small cottage in rural Ireland and my wife kept a few pots of annuals on the windowsill and the front door. One day a few years ago my wife asked me to dig a flower bed and so I did thinking job done no more garden. Then she asked me to help her to plant the flower's she bought into the new bed and showed me how to plant. When I planted the flowers something came over me and off I went digging again and again. I think my wife knew I would like gardening even though I didn't. At the moment we have Four flower beds and fifty pots in the front garden and a glasshouse and no dig vegetable plots out in the back garden. The funny thing is my wife has no interest in gardening and leaves me to it.

I have 8 airbnbs. Now the quack grass has taken over. Heart breaking. I wonder what to do. I like softness around the foundation but can't keep up with the weeds at 8 residences... I hate to kill it all, but shrubs and landscape fabric may be the only answer

Do the leaves just fall off when you have box blight and you’re left with brown dry branches?
