@@greenirontv324 sadly both guys have passed away and not sure if I can get copies. The guy in Korea's wife is still alive so maybe. The ww2 picture was part of his unit at pause in a very bombed out city in Austria. I'm sure the book said where but I don't remember. His wife was huddled in a basement a few times when we bombed her city. Lucky she lived through it.

@davidbranch8134 The B is a place holder for thousands of sequence. The 1 is the class of vehicle and the next five numbers represent the contract order of delivery for a fiscal year. The very first class 1 vehicle accepted would be 1A0001 and would go up until the 9999th vehicle or 1A9999. The 10,000 vehicle would then be 1B0001 and would go up to 19,999 or 1B9999 and the next would be 1C0001 and would continue up that way. There is no way to track the history through the registration number, the best way is to look for the last unit it served with by lightly sanding on the bumpers to try and find unit markings. And then research that unit to see where they were stationed.
