As an owner and lover of the C3 Corvette, having owned my 1969 427/435 since 1970, I must say you have built one of...if not the coolest....C3 Corvette of all time, Bob. I'm 71 now and having a bit of difficulty sometimes getting up and out of my car because of the Hooker sidepipes and a sore right hip, but until the day comes when I no longer cannot do it at all, I'll continue to own and drive my 540 hp fire breathing monster. We know Chevrolet lied way back then on the horsepower rating but now I know for sure exactly what the beast in my garage is rated at. In fact, every time I start my car....somewhere in the world a Prius dies!! With the machine you've so nicely built, it's nice now to have some company. Again, awesome job on the concept and completion of what is probably the coolest C3 of all time.
Several years ago I was driving my LT4 red 96 convertible and came upon a Prius that had a sign in the back that said, "I get 60 mpg". Of course, he was driving 45 mph on a 55 mph city Interstate in Michigan. I downshifted and blew by him and let him hear my exhaust as it revved to the limit. He probably thought of me as a fool but it made my day!
What a beautiful Corvette and what a great, interesting, well made video! Green Mamba is a stunning looking machine. Thank you Bob, for sharing your awesome talents and skills.
This car was built with lots of vision, passion, great companies and cash. I respect you for knowing what you wanted and making it a reality , its a true work of art. Its not exactly my dream build but its also not my car. Your dedication is much appreciated . Thumbs up to you.
Fantastic project. Thank you for sharing. Its amazing that you completed that in just over a year. As someone who is just wrapping up a 63 convertible restomod I appreciate you sharing the parts and systems you used, as well as your one off parts.
a real work of art. truly engineering and art perfectly blended. and the best part, it is all fully functional, while the car sure has a big show factor about it, it has at least as much go factor to go along with it. phenomenal build !
Amazing build, brother! You are truly talented and blessed to say the least. I'd love to use some of those body style ideas on a custom build myself. Again, great work.
Love the build ! ...You have EVERY right to be proud .....You won't say this but to the harshest critics, but I surely will .."Do you have the skills and imagination come close to doing this level of work?!?"....If so many of US would love to see YOUR creation(s).....sounds like you could teach US all a lot .....Now about those headlight configurations ...WOW just WOW..!!!...I have a C3 ,myself and while I do not have vacuum problems yet ,(owned car since 2006,fixed them all, this time,... I think.....LOL),I want to do that so that I can get rid of ALL of the relays, hoses ,and delayed door openings .....Thanks for the view!
Wow - You put about as much work into this video as you did into the build. Amazing job and I trust you are enjoying the crap out of it. As a viewer, it was a little frustrating to hear you talking about the engine without seeing it - could have used more of the interior too! Such a nice job all around. Thanks for sharing.
I heard that a lot, so in the video of my next build we made sure to include engine noises. check out the last build ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2_v7PsjXuA.html Thanks
What an awsom car, the best part is when I hear these guys thank God and give him the glory. Great vidio & great dude. I hope and pray that I have a nice car like this, keep grinding those gears buddy🙏🙏🙏
Bob, I have just been blown away. Not only by Green Mamba, but by the incredible detail and energy you were able to put into this video! Hoooo-leeee smokes. I want to be like you. Only, I can't! Just.....incredible! I *have* to see this car in person.
Cars like this excite me! Cars like this are where its at, with Magnificent Homebuilt ingenuity & Craftsmanship. Bob, your car is amazing, thanks for sharing with us. Really enjoyed hearing about the build, definately looking forward tp seeing more of this! Ferraris & Lambos etc are boring, they do not excite me. You are a genius!
Nice build. similar purpose and style to my build that was put in mothballs in 08...Hope to pull Hammerhead out and finnish...Thanks for the inspiration and placing glory where its due!
Sick ride! you inspire my next build with this. I been a Corvette fan since I first saw a 1974 Vette with a lady charming a snake on its hood. then confirmed my love for the beast My neighbor built a 1974 with a 396, she was a Black beauty, I got a ride in it. and I was hooked. but then I owned a few Carbed cars and a few Fuel injected cars. and I lost interest in carbs. So my 86 TA has been put aside since 2007, time to bring that beast out and buy a 1974 Vette. use the TA to build up an Engine or 2 and then when all the parts are ready, build the body and chassis of the vette and paint it balk and blue.
Great video bob,i met you at sema on fri. Asking about the kind of carpet GREEN MAMBA has, thank you for the help. And for the guys saying one day when they win the lotto. You dont need to win the lotto, just work hard in whatever you do and,YOU CAN have a cars or truck like this,it just takes time. Phil
That's a proper restomod. Built with a purpose and functionality. Not just a trendy bucket of bolts trailer queen, with fancy paint like some that I see. Very nice car.
Wow! Fantastic build! That is Sema Show quality easily! If the car was mine, I would do a few modifications, but it’s a matter of personal taste. Good job, sir👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Bob, don't know if you'll see my note but I love the way you did the headlamp and I'll do the same about, sorry but thanks for the idea. God bless you!!
