This game (and 2) is just so good and should have gotten so much more attention! Seriously imagine a 2024 version of this 2007 game 😀 Literally a shame that most people don't know this one!

7:30 Pro tip for crossing water with minions, put them all on a flag (rally point) and drag the rally point across by locking on it and dragging the right stick. Alternatively, just cross the water yourself, and wait for the minions to path over the bridge and follow you (minion pathing is usually quite good at not drowning them).

Bruh, I loved this game. Im so sad that no other gamer has even tried to make something similar to this recently. Btw if u select a minion type, you can then place a guard marker that specializes those minions. Tapping the recall button removes minions from it individually. You can make multiple guard markers like this and strategize with minion placement. Furthermore, by target locking the guard marker, and the minion move/sweep button, u can move it around.

Hey man, I don´t know if you heard that jet but the strength of your army is increasing with the stuff your minions pick up. So if they loot after they destroy something eather you get heal or mana or gold or they are finding stuff for them to equip. If you want your minions to be stonger you should just get them equpment. just mentioning it because it seems like you dont rly know where your powerlevel comes from :)

Had to start up a playthrough after watching you discover the greatness that is Overlord lol you have a new sub my man

Gotta keep going.. your army fills out once you get blues and up your minions.. upgrading your helmet doesn't give you loads of extra minions, you could sac shed loads and only get an extra 3 until you get better metal. Get yourself 10 browns, 10 reds, 10 greens and 5 blues and you're good.. keep your blues completely out of battle and they'll revive your minions that die. Gotta learn placement and set up before a fight. Split your reds 5 left and 5 right, put the greens in the middle hidden, blues at the back.. Use your browns to sweep over and then bring them back to you as you stand by the greens and when whatever runs in chasing your browns it dies almost instantly

So awesome seeing an overlord playthrough in 2024. Just please stop draining your mana with the spells omg 😅

Just something to keep in mind, Your browns are your tanks, front liners, reds are ranged dps, greens are rogues/melee dps. You balance your horde to take advantage of this or set up ambushes to lure the mobs into your red/greens

I watched the video and forgot to leave my comment! I love Evernight forest and its boss so much, Oberon is the only boss to feel like an actual character while the others are mostly just evil people. I especially appreciate the music when I go into the are the game has a killer soundtrack. As for some advice I would HIGHLY suggest going immediately to get the blues as you will soon get locked out in both Evernight forest and the abyss without them. If not you're going to need to do a bit of backtracking. I know your dying to get gold so after you kill Oberon the area immediately after has an optional dungeon with absurd amounts of money. I looked at your older videos and you forgot to grab the bag of gold that's behind the area you first meet Melvin (Behind the stage he was standing on, needs red minions). If you grab the blues don't forget the minion statue in the water next to the first portal you come from as well! Apparently the sword is the best of the three weapons btw so good decision on that! Lastly I would take a look at your character shoulders compared to the beginning for a cool detail. (Editing in one more thing) The minion spell that makes them go beserk is OP, if you see a boss or a group of enemies tap the spell in and then immediately turn it off when they are dead because it continually consumes mana. You can cheese a lot of tough enemies this way especially because you fully upgrade extremely soon! (When you get blues I can't wait to rant about them) Congrats on almost 500k on your first video, that's how I found your channel and I try to comment when I remember so I can help you how I can!

10:45 You were suppose to lock on the pod and send a minion to it. You'll then order him to carry it to the enemy and it'll blow them up. You'll use this later in the game too. 7:07 / 27:37 Also you don't have to sweep them across bridges when crossing water or to get them to safety. You can just walk over the river and they'll path find over the available bridge automatically. 13:40 They'll also path find to avoid poison so you can you stand close enough and recall them. If they don't automatically return then just walk closer to their bridge to make the pathfinding easier. If you have any other questions or frustrations just ask. I've played Overlord 1 & 2 way too much. Only thing I don't know much is the DLC. Only played that once.

Love this game. I don't fully rember but i think if you just post all your minions together it makes it much easier to sweep them across bridges without them dying. You can move posts by selcring them and moving, its actually useful for a lot of combat.

hey just so you know, you can move the flags with the analog to sweep. Just lock on to the flag first

Another idea you could do with this game is getting a group together and doing the pvp multiplayer
