Green River canoe trip

8 days and 100 miles on the Green River in Utah in a canoe with brother-in-law Rich Macur. Starting point: Ruby Ranch, then south for 97 miles through Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons to the confluence with the Colorado River, and 3 miles down the Colorado to takeout near Spanish Bottom. The entire trip was on flatwater except for a few minor riffles on the Colorado. We were picked up by jet boat on the 9th day and transported up the Colorado back to Moab. Wives Cindy and Debbie surprised us by riding the jet boat out to meet us at our pickup spot.
Shuttle services and canoe rentals provided by Tex's Riverways in Moab.

We started on Apr. 25, then 8 days paddling with jet boat pickup on the 9th day, May 3. Were you there?

No we are just planning the trip on May 31st and I was wondering how the high flow would effect us.

@@dirtroadtoanywhere3105flow was good for us, not extreme, but higher than normal so not a lot of work involved. We averaged about 4 hours per day on the river. Lorenzo at Tex's predicted that flow rates would increase towards the end of May due to snowmelt.
