John from www.discountjui... compares the Green Star Pro GS-P502 Twin Gear Slow Juicer against the Dynapro DPS-2250 Vacuum Blender + Nut Milk Bag to see which method will make the most nutritious and highest quantity juice.
In this episode, you will learn about the best way to make juice: in a vacuum blender and how this compares to traditional juicing in a Green Star Pro Twin Gear Juicer.
First, you will learn how juicing in a blender and juicing in a vacuum blender are significantly different. You will also learn the pros and cons of vacuum juicing and traditional juicing in a juice extractor.
You will learn how the Dynapro DPS-2250 and Green Star Pro juicer compare when juicing and which one you should choose depending on the factors that are most important to you.
You will discover the two inherent problems with traditional juicers of today: oxidation due to oxygen and the ability of the juicer can grind to small particle size and how vacuum blending technology corrects these deficiencies. You will learn why slow juicing is better than fast juicing.
Next, you will learn about the enemy of juicing: oxygen and oxygenation of the juices that can lower the antioxidant and phytonutrient content of the juices you make at home.
Next, you will get a juice-off comparison when juicing equal amounts of Cantelope and Carrot in the Green Star Pro Juicer and also in the Dynapro vacuum blender. You will see the entire process and learn how long it takes to juice using each method.
John will juice in the Green Star Pro Juicer first, and you will see how he feeds the produce so it does not back up the Green Star Pro and how long it takes.
Next, you will learn how easy it is to vacuum juice in the Dynapro Commercial Vacuum Blender by precutting all the produce and then adding it to the blender carafe. You will learn how you can easily extract all the juice by using the Blendtec Juice Bag.
You will then get a close-up of the yield and learn how the vacuum juicer made 1 cup more juice than the Green Star Pro Juicer.
You will then see the pulp that was created by each method to learn which way of juicing Cantelope and Carrots was the best in terms of yield.
Finally, John will taste test each of the juices, so you can discover what each of the juices tasted like and declare the winner of this juice-off comparison review.
After watching this video, you will learn the best way to juice cantaloupe & carrots to get the highest yield, the most nutrition, and save the most money without ANY pulp in the juice.

But doesn't blending destroy more of the nutritions then the juicer do to faster speeds and heat ?

Having the non -pro Greenstar, I can say there is at least ten minutes more cleanup time! As I said in the other comment I wish we had known this back when your videos convinced me the Greenstar was the best thing short of a Pure juicer to get the most juice yield. Thanks again John for the demonstration.

Lately I just use my nutribullet blender with 2 oz water and the nut milk bag. I like the easy cleanup. You can get fresh coconut pieces at whole foods. Blueberries are a little harder to wash out of the bag, so I alternate days with them.

I'll wait for a vacuum blender that filters the pulp as well, till then will stick to the Omega VSJ843 😀

Thanks for the video, John! I have the Greenstar Pro and I just got the Dynapro. Love both machines. I'm going to start juicing cucumbers, and I'll use the Dynapro to do that. I do have to see if I can find the Blendtec nut milk bag.

Home run, John. For sure the highest possible nutrients and easiest cleanup is a vacuum blender and press bags.

Surely there is something like a leather press that could be used to wring that bag more thoroughly/cleanly.

The color of the juice coming from the Greenstar looked much better, I think it was less oxydized, even considering the vacuum factor. Maybe vacuum blending is the best for smoothies but not for juices - maybe the vacuum is not efficient enough and the tiny bit of air remaining oxydized the juice more by blending than a slow processing juicer. At least this is what the color of the juices you made makes me think.

I’ve watched John’s videos for a while and in most of them, I recall he would make a comparison between the *color* of the juices. But disappointed he didn’t highlight the color here … the Greenstar’s juice is far more appealing.

Hmm would have liked to see the Greenstar Pulp go through the machine again to make up for all the squeezing you did with the Dynapro pulp. Since it clocked out at 5 minutes running the pulp + wet sieve pulp wouldn't have added that much time. Given that fruits often don't squeeze as well first pass in these horizontal juicers, I feel a second pass would have made up for it.
@canillocanillo3371
@canillocanillo3371 2 года назад
did I see the vac blender juice has more bubbles?. Also would have been fair to take the pulp left by the Green Star and put it in the nut milk bag and try to extract the remaining juice left in the pulp, Prob would have matched the amount of juice done by the vac blender. Great content tho!!!!
@Troyvidihoo
@Troyvidihoo 2 года назад
While I would have liked to see that too, I have tried similar things with the pulp out of my Greenstar after juicing much greater amounts than this, and maybe got a whole cup more juice. The pulp isnt ground as fine most likely is why. You can tell it has more juice in it, but just cant squeeze it out.

Looks like they removed them from their website. I wonder if what he mentioned at the beginning about the blendtec nut milk bag is also the case for the blendtec vacuum blenders. That they are discontinued?

Blendtec had an ownership Change. I was working closely with the previous owner, Tom Dickson on the Vacuum Blender Project. He "spearheaded the project". He is no longer with the company. I am quite doubtful the new owners will come out with it. They have already discontinued the nut milk bag, that was part of the kit. If it were me, I would look for other options.

Wow.... yes I had heard that about eight months ago they are now Chinese owned company. Which can be good or bad depending upon how it’s run. Too bad they are perhaps getting out of the vacuum blending market or putting it on hold. Regardless there are some very good options for vacuum blending but not so many great ones for the vacuum juicing as it requires a reliable high powered blender and Tribest was having its issues with motors, although hopefully they have worked them out now. How is this new model fairing for reliability and motor issues. Does this new Swedish motor sort all that out totally?

Making fruit juice in a vacuum blender is not too bad to do multiple batches. If I am doing multiple batches and using veggies, I will use a vertical auger juicer, see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-53pT6N8Kh58.html for my method.

I do multi day juice. I feel 7 would be pushing it a bit.. VIP to put in jars w lid as soon as U make it.. I make several batches right in2 fridge, then put in big bowl/pot 2 mix 2gether. Put in jars to the very top(no air). Back in fridge.. It seems 2 stay well for 4-5 days.. Can't say about how much 'vitality' remains by then but still tastes good.. Keeps me running smooth @ 73...

Thank you for making this video. I’m using the Dynapro primarily, & I’m trying to use little/to no fruit. Will cut up celery in itself be enough liquid in the bottom of the pitcher for beets & leafy greens?
@discountjuicers

use more cucumbers or cut up the celery small to fill at least 1/2 the carafe. the other 1/2 can be other items.

@@discountjuicers Thank you, John. I tried it, & it worked pretty well. My only concern is that it is a little warm after blending. I’m using your method of pushing pulse then blend. I have a question if you don’t mind. Is there is a way to adjust the speed to lower with the pulse feature? Is there a way to lower the speed with the blend feature? Do you prefer the speed of these preset speeds for pulse & blend, or do you think blending on a lower speed is better?

In ur opinion..what juicer gives the most nutrients?..been watching ur channel for a year..you never really told us in ur opinion which one would you use personally
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 2 года назад
most nutrients: Dynapro Vacuum Blender, after that I would go for the green star pro if nutrients are the most important factor. That being said, each style juicer can better (or worse) juice certain items, so that must also be considered.

John why don't you just put the vacuum juice in a low speed juicer to separate the fiber from the juice: the best taste and then a good separation.
