I posted this video to assist anyone who purchases this product. I hope watching this will help and also save some time. The assembly instructions that come with the kit are vague. Once assembled the greenhouse is pretty good. I plan on strengthening the lift out vent window. I used one of the cheap spanners and bent it to act as a second latch for the handle when the window is closed. Make sure you bolt the house down. to a secure base. It is lightweight and will blow away in a storm otherwise. My cacti are now safe from winter rainfall. I purchased on My Deal online.

Thanks for showing the orientation of the extrusion. This will save me a massive amount of time. I was expecting to have to rebuild it twice over to get the extrusion facing the right way. Your video has been a massive help. Thanks again

So happy the video helped. My Cacti are going very well in mine. Lots of flowers. I recommend putting some small screws through the top of the side sheeting.

G’day Andy. Thankyou for taking the time to pass on key points to assemble the greenhouse. After initial frustration with the “manual”, it went smoothly once I found your video.

Great, My cacti love being in mine. They grow like they are on steroids. I open the roof vent a lot as it gets way hot in there. I made shelves with concrete blocks and timber wrapped in black thick plastic.

Just completed our Greenhouse, Assembly pictures yuk, it’s like doing a jigsaw puzzle just pictures to go by, no step by step instructions. But after lots of oops we got it done, very sturdy once it’s all together. We are very please with this product.
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 Год назад
Yes, it is not a bad little greenhouse. I found I had to put a couple of little self drilling screws only on the topmost of the side sheeting. In strong wind this prevents them bowing and coming loose. The only upgrade I have yet to do is hinge the top hatch to make it sturdy. Check out my caccti in mine on my channel🌵

The only thing I can’t work out is the window and how it’s supposed to prop there’s no hinge or anything otherwise I did really well (thanks to your handy hints dropping the extra’s down channels etc all really helped! But yeah roof window I can’t figure out. Also I noticed in your other vids you’ve got a high shelf that seems to be attached to the greenhouse how’d you manage that? 😅
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 8 месяцев назад
@@123harrydee The window panel assembly edge just hooks under the top frame edge. No screws. It is kind of wierd to work out. Just re look at the video at 3:57 to make sure you have the bottom of the window frame part 15 the right way around on the window frame. I used that cheap little kit spanner and bent it into a square U shape with some pliers and attached it to he bolt next to the 15 sticker to use as a stay for the window stay stick when closed. It seems to have survived a few storms when accidently left open, so I have not upgraded to hinges yet. For the shelves I attached some small metal L Brackets and screwed some pine 2' x 4' wood. I covered the wood in thick black plastic to protect it when watering. The lower shelves are concrete besser blocks sitting on the floor to make two more shelves. I have a lot of cacti in there. Let me know if you need more help. Cheers.

Great. They are pretty good once assembled. I since put some self drilling screws on the top of the side panels. They tend to bow out if not secured. Make sure you bolt the whole thing down. I used concrete blocks for shelves with some thick builders polastic over treated pine timber stacked on top. I screwed some brackets higher up for some light shelving. All I need to do is put some chest hinges on that tilt out window, and hinge the back edge to make it lress flimsy. I keep cacti in mine.

Thanks for the video, it is very helpful (it seems you have to pay a massive premium for instructions that make sense). About to order mine because I’m trying to grow Nepenthes down here in Melbourne and your video has given me some confidence :)
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 7 месяцев назад
Ha, I had to Google Nepenthes to remind me what it was. I have a fairly large Nepenthes pitcher plant in a hanging basket. When I got it from Bunnings years ago it was tiny with little pitchers about 2cm . In more recent years the pitchers have been as large as a thumb on my big hands. I forgot to water it for a while and it looks a bit sad but is recovering nice with little seaweed fertilzer half strength. It gets a bit sad looking in winter, but always bounces back. Keep the humidity levels high as you can. They like the drainage obiously in my hanging basket with coco coir mix around the roots. They are interesting plants. I had a California Sarracenia but I managed to kill that one.

Hi Andy! When we open the window there’s nothing securing the top of the window to the top roof bar. When we open the window the top just falls? Are we missing a piece? Nothing is securing the window
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 3 месяца назад
No, the curved part of the window frame just goes under the edge and forms a kind of hinge. From memory hold the window frame about 45 degrees open and hook the curved bit under the top edge and close it should stay under the edge then. The window frame is confusing. I put a stronger bracket to attach the adjustable arm that holds it open. I have been meaning to put hinges, but surprisingly even in strong wind it stays attached even when open. I can film this bit if you still get stuck, let me know. Look at 4:04 on the video to see close the way the frame on the window is facing and part 15.

Hi Andy - very helpful video. One question though, there is a packet with white plastic clips, where do they go in the installation, any ideas?? They seem to slide on.
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 9 месяцев назад
They are just spacers for the bottom of the side panels. I never used them. i did put some screws through the top of the side platic panels into the frame. The were flapping around a bit in a bad storm. Just a good safety measure.

Cheers for Video that I have been looking at these for a while now and yeah weird no descent vids. out there on them? Is it still standing with all panels in?? I am thinking for a while and stopped and now back again of getting one a Greenfingers Aluminium GreenHouse with Polycarbonate sheets 4.1x2.5M double door for keeping fish and thinking of those panels, the noise when you tapped them not very secure? Thinking somehow when sliding panels in use mastic or some sort of goo to silent and secure those panels into place. Did you find anything else that needs to be adjusted/upgraded by now? Going to sit it on and attach to 90mmx140mm beams to give it some height as well for me being 6ft, well just over at 186cm for door and raise the roof?
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 7 месяцев назад
The door height is a little low for me, I am 6'2" so raising the height a tad will be good. I have cut my head a few times forgetting to duck. The panels are pretty secure. I f you get high winds, I would recommend some clear gutter ( exterior grade) silicon in a few places. Overall I am happy with the structure. I would probably give the lower ground metal areas a coat of some rustproofing or fish oil spray. I noticed mine are starting to go rusty. Fish house is a good idea, just watch the high temps, it gets really hot in there. Even with the roof vent left open.
@JasonWhittleXs
@JasonWhittleXs 7 месяцев назад
Cheers for that and Glad you like! With the Temp was thinking of shade cloth already to somehow secure to roof and down the back that will be facing the afternoon sun, something maybe like a curtain that can pull back for winter or just leave it? Yeah, I think will put something in the slides, so panels dont make noise and with strong winds they dont blow out. Fish oil or something for the bottom then! It will be sitting on 140cm high pine beam (not hitting my head ;"0) and not in the dirt, but condensation laying may shorten the nice look of it?@@andyroo3022

Thanks for the video, is it worth using silicone for the windows and polycarbon sheets or are clips good enough for windy days/nights?
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 Год назад
I used some clear silicon on the roof panels. The clips are pretty good. I ended up putting some self drilling panel screws along, just the top of the side panels. After a few months some of these started to bow out, an easy fix. I am going to stregthen that pop out window with some hinges later on. I keep it closed for now, until the weather gets hot again, it will easily come loose in a strong breeze.

Hi Andy Do the roof panels slide in or can I drop them in? I intend on putting mine between a shed and a fence so I will not be able to slide the roof sheets up from the walls to the gable? I will not have the space. Thanks
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 3 месяца назад
from memory they should drop in. The metal retaining clips lock them in place. Sounds like you will need a short ladder and work from inside, starting at the back. You should be able to lean over the front then to put the last panel on the roof. Cheers.

Hey, is it possible to bolt the greenhouse down into concrete? Like does it have holes and brackets to do so?
@andyroo3022
@andyroo3022 Год назад
Sure. No brackets are supplied. No holes in the frame to bolt it down. Just drill some holes in the concrete with a masonry drill and set some dyna bolts in the concrete to bolt it down. I used large concrete pavers for a floor. It is best to drill through the bottom frame with a metal drill bit first. Place the frame in position and mark through the holes, so you can drill in the right spot on the concrete base. You could drive some steel pegs into the ground and just put gravel for a floor if you wanted a cheaper option. I am pretty happy with the green house. I am going to make some staggered stair type shelving along both sides. The greenhouse kit has no shelves. I used one of the cheap spanners that came with the kit. Easily bent with pliers and bolted to secure the window handle better. I am going to buy some chest hinges to make this stronger. I reckon as is, it will blow away if left open. Pretty good house for the money. And my rare expensive cacti are not getting soaked with rain.

Cool, so funny. "In the bush". As an Ozzie i understand exactly what you mean. I saw a funny Billy Connolly stand up once. He was joking about how Australians call the trees, THE bush. Other countries call it a forest etc. He joked about how there was just one bush plant in the middle of Australia@@MrMatiekay
