Lovely tour. So short. Definitely would love to see more. Like the sumatrana. I've been trying to track one of those down for my collection for years now. Lovely collection you have.

Would love to see more of the lowland bench. Curious to know also how you manage to grow highlanders in warm conditions or vice versa.

We grow highlanders in our highland room. I'm not sure what you mean by vice versa in this case.

@@PredatoryPlants might be my mistake but from the video it seemed like your highland plants (robcantleyi, jacquelinea) were growing in the same greenhouse as your rafflesiana.

Those particular plants are generally understood to be "highland" but they are more accurately "intermediates" in our experience. Both of those plants are extremely cold sensitive and suffer very much when low temperatures drop into the 50s for an extended period.

Where can I find more growing information on species so I can create an excellent setup here in central Florida because I want to grow more nepenthes but I’m unsure what kind of setup I’ll need inside/outside I’m looking to purchase a good bit of plants from your company.

What robcantleyi do you guys have? eg: what company is it from?
@PredatoryPlants

To my knowledge, N. robcantleyi has only ever been produced and released by Borneo Exotics.

@vacciniumaugustifolium1420 3 года назад
Fun fact : N. Robcantleyi's name come from Robert Cantley, the guy who initially found the specie. Mr. Cantley is also the foundator of Borneo Exotics. Yep, its a relatively small world

Pure blooded species are usually harder to cultivate than hybrids. I always wanted a Rajah x Edwardsiana but if I had to choose, I would take the pure blooded Rajah any day.

I came there today. Reality hit me when I saw the size of plants and the prices for each plant. I hate to say this but I was kind of underwhelmed. Thought I’d see lots of nepenthes from common cheap hybrids to expensive plants. All of different sizes, but all I saw where super tiny plants or medium plants that are $200+.. I figured a small would be $10 but they were doubled that :( was hoping to come home with lots of cps today.(I got a n. Ventrata from mid city nursery for $19 and it was 3 times bigger than your small sized ones.) Also are we allowed, the customers, to enter the green house area? With all the nepenthes and such?
@edwardplants2176
@edwardplants2176 5 лет назад
Nepenthes in general are not cheap plants. However N. ventrata is both as common and as cheap as dirt compared to the many specialty species and hybrids that they offer. Size does not matter as much so much as rarity in this hobby.
@cageC64
@cageC64 5 лет назад
they had a big N. Burbidgeae x Edwardsiana for $200. for the size of the plant, it was a steal. They also had plenty for sale that would make most nep collectors happy. If you go up to california carnivores, you will be just as, if not more underwhelmed by their selection.
