Note the short line from the back of the boat tied with pieces of black bin bags . This is to keep the gulls off the baited hooks before they sink in the water .
taken this amount of fish out of the sea year after year is the way to take away are food surprises it's all done by design how can people not see this . ho I know way greed and money.
Very heroic music for a said video ov the reason why we dont have anymore fishs in our oceans. Also with all the other species that are caught by this long line fishing, not only fish, its a tragedy for nature😢
There are plenty of fish in the ocean, what are you on about? Long line is a better method as there aren't as many unintentional fish caught, but unfortunately all methods are going to cause issues somehow. They're helping feed people, so🤷🏻♀️
😂 good answer😂 "there are plenty of fish in the ocean" if you look at numbers how much they dropped, you not need to be a genius to understand how long we can go on like that before there are no more fish in the ocean. We need to find better solution to feed to world or the world will die
@@RTBurke Simple, MINE. I fished commercially for pollock with electronic reels and rods. I landed about thirty ton for my summer season, which I think qualified me as commercial. My winter season we fished with rod for about twenty ton of bass. By catch was probably less that one percent, and that was either returned alive or eaten. I get where your coming from certain trawling has huge amounts of by catch with tons a day dumped back dead. Just not on my boat.
@@jhkramer816 I live in the UK and the evidence is there to see. Advanced technology means the huge modern trawlers can literally track down and suck the whole shoal out of the sea. The traditional fishing industry is now virtually non-existent because there are no fish to catch anymore. However, fish stocks are able to recover quite quickly where total bans on all commercial fishing are put in place. But it is the very recent global rise in sea temperature which will be the devastating factor .... there is no way that fish species can evolve quickly enough to survive the effects of warmer water.
