Love the classic style of design, the storage and open spaces are beyond great. The wood work and color are perfect, the furnishings color match perfectly with the whole design.
Love the rear seat, I just need a staple rail or two on the platform, a livewell built into the storage under it, and a big cooler to use as a fish box! Dream boat for relaxed cruising and a little light fishing! Glad to see the Viking made an appearance, he is one of those rare reps that adds to videos rather than subtracts from them!
Beefy and spacious!!! This Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid Yacht feels bigger than it is. The layout is beautifully designed. Nice to see your friend Udo again. Great shower design!!!
My only negative is the small shower in the Owner suite. needs a two person shower for any many willing to fork over that kind of cash...For obvious reasons...
Green line has incorporated many smart ideas. I like the pull out drawers, the stern seating, the convertible seating, the opening rear window. And the phone charger to list but a few. I guess the Viking has a little experience on the high seas.
Beautiful boat, love the curves. I really like the stern bench/storage. This style cockpit design I have grown to love. It just makes sense. My favorite thing is that lazarette. For me, put a door into it from the owner's cabin and make it a utility/storage room. Extra fridge/freezer and laundry with easy access, plus you gain storage space where washer/dryer is now. I really like this boat, thanks for the tour.
Greenline is, once again, hitting it out of the park. For a prototype, this proof of concept, is Amazing. That would be a great family craft. Those shower heads a freaking MASSIVE! Love them! And that's a pretty damn good engine (Non yoga) Engine room. The lazzerette would be perfect for galley storage stuff like freezer/fridges and the like. And just plain anything storage. That would be a lovely boat to catch Halibut/Salmon off the aft, then fry em up on the Flybridge in the evening. And if Udo can fit on it, I can too, 😁awesome premiere!
Hello Victoria and Rico, Magnificent Yatch, Really Well designed, Huge Congratulations to Greenlight for Such a Well Thought through Yatch, Love the Showers and woodwork with rounded edges... Looked a lot bigger than 58 footer... Beautiful layout, the Forward VIP stateroom and Owner's suite are perfect ❤️ Great Presentation as Always Victoria and Rico, Thank You from Paul / Australia
Writing this before even beginning to watch my favorite video release of the week! At first I thought this was just any old RU-vid Recommend on the side of a different video because JUST LAST NIGHT I had been reading at Greenline's website about their models, including the new 58! My research/ side trip started from a discussion posted in the Great Loop Fbk Group as to the ideal Loop boat if $ wasn't a problem (no Berings presently [or likely to] fit the parameters)-- going through and Like-ing those on my present short list: Beneteau Swifts, Rangers/ Cutwaters, Absolutes, Sabres, and indeed: Greenlines- it was the mention of Greenline and hybrid tech that brought me to their site to check a specification. Also, I like that the GL 48 Fly's mast can be ordered with an optional hinge, but would have to compare to a 45 to see if I really need that extra space. For the time being, I'm presently thrilled to now go through the 58 via your tour and review. Ciao!
Another great tour. Nice to see Udo, he does add to the tour a little energy and gives great information whenever he is speaking. I thought I was getting on here quick at the 4 hour mark but obviously others are quicker than me. You two are my favorite RU-vid couple, the wife agrees and approves of the title.
This is the first smaller boat that appears plaining size, but is CE-A, with a 1000nm range potential that I like. I was financially devastated last two years and my dreams of an 80 went down the toilet. But this one might actually work. I think they need to lower the helm as it takes up most of the beautiful windshield but other than that its perfect. I would put freezers down below, as well as storage and anything that was missing above. Well done Greenline, well done ! You know.. with a boat this size, instead of using solar panels, a little more custom hands on time and they could solar like the Sunreef and lay directly onto the hull. Then the solar potential goes from 4 to 8 or more which could even technically extend the range (for those like me who think... yeh, I think we can make it - then storm blows in) and every las drop of fuel is used.
Loved that! Very nice tour; quality apparent, even via a little tablet screen. While not a fan of excessive rounding in design, I can appreciate its application in places here as it opens up sight lines earlier and gives one a sense of greater space so as to be cozy and comfortable but not confining. Excellent banter between you two again, and nice to see Udo for a bit.
Another beautiful boat! I love the interior design and the rounded edges. Really love that the wood is natural, not glossy. Would love to go out on this boat!!
Greenline is one of the better semi-custom builders IMO, especially as far as squeezing every cubic inch/centimeter of storage out of their hulls. The 58 Fly is gorgeous, I'd probably go for one of the coupe models though
All Greenline tours should include Udo. (I believe that's his name). A Greenline tour without him is like the ocean without fish. I mean you're entertaining but come on...he's him!
I'm literally imaging this boat on the transport ship and there's like 10 guys hanging all over the sides with power tools, cleaning rags, and a giant pile of parts assembling this yacht en route
If they made them steel hulls, I might even consider one over a Bering, but I would love to have one for running up and down the coast or the Great Lakes, something along those lines
Did you receive my request for a testimonial on my new Live-aboard book I emailed You with the transcripts? If not let me know where to send it to you. Thanks Rene
That’s a lovely boat. Some interesting ideas they have had. I love the way the rear window opens up and connects the interior to the cockpit. Very nice
As a real Viking, I got to protest against people from Holland (The Netherlands) stealing our tittle as Vikings. I don't know, what they are, flounders or flounder eaters maybe, but not Vikings! The Viking nations are Denmark, Sweden and Norway and they established colonies in Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland and then some places and also Christianized the whole Nordic nations in 950 AD. Which is also, why I laugh out loud, when I hear people praise Thor, Odin or Norse Mythology, because that is a matter of fact a Hollywood promoted MYTH! The fact is, that all we know about the pagan religions before 950 AD all were written down by Christian men more than 300 years later, either by Saxo, a Catholic scribe here in Denmark and also in The Icelandic Sagas, in both case it was from a point of ridicule, by the way. That all said, lovely boat. Very beautiful lines outside and great design inside. Instead of a closet laundry in the master that lazaret would be a very obvious man/ woman cave, both with a full laundry and a workspace. With my luck though, my woman would probably lock me in there, so better install a pullman berth over the work table and deep freezer, now you are at it. Then she can stick me the laundry down the shoot and let me out, when I need to fix stuff. Kidding aside, I am finally leaving Denmark, never to return: At first to go backpacking Tamil Nadu, India and from there the rest of Asia at first. I plan to do Christian volunteering work, also to stretch my money for really long stay abroad, until I have to find work somewhere. Wish me luck, I need it! God Bless!
for a 59' Yacht I luv that it would be perfect for my wife and I. I just wish the beam were a bit wider maybe 18' to 20' beam would be awesome, just saying
OK Rico, I know now that i'm going to do your computer training 😅 9:14 that's USB Type A not normal USB and USB Type C or USB C and not mini USB which is another type of usb plug that's been replaced. 😊
I think the video is labeled wrong at several places. Guest quarters is Helm,. At 21:40 it says, "crew quarters". I assume it should say guest quarters. :) Then after that is says "Engine room", but it should say Owners room.
Greetings from a fan. Another very cool boat indeed. We are a 40' sailboat heading south down the west coast. Do you know if we can side-tie at the tip of Burton Chace Park for a few days... MDR being your home port I beleive? Thanks and keep the vids coming. Cheers.
I enjoy green line boats but the orange woodwork has to go! They did a great job with the 58 fly with upgrading the appearance of the boat. They all could look that way.
Hi Victoria and Rico, very similar layout to the Oceanclass 68. Is this one CE Class A or can be an option? Also what is the range with the hybrid drive using smaller Cummins twin diesels? Thanks
Here's the thing with those type of raised sinks... Where am I going to put my contact case when removing my contact lenses? Pretty is as pretty does, but not very functional in my world. Do you really need a huge sink, or do you need more counter space for our toiletries?
Not Greenline again, I tried to buy the Greenline 48 a few years ago but the company went bankrupt and with it went my down payment. Be careful, boaters.
Might be time to upgrade your camera. Not the greatest quality on the video. Is it a 4K camera? When the camera is moving the video is not as smooth as when the camera is stationary. Thanks.
Lovely boat really great layout, brilliant tour as usual you show everything it's so good other people who video boats should learn from you two seriously, loving the coloured stripes dress , luvu both.
i like the natural wood warm feel to the inside of this yacht ….. maybe you should nbbl that color scheme…. and for the wireless helm charger make sure it is a qi 2 wireless charger standard which has the magsafe magnets for the charger
I checked out this boat on the Greenline website for the first time just yesterday. Then this video popped up on my youtube feed. The stars may be aligning for me on this one. Thanks for this walk through.
Victoria, I’ll be the first to admit that it would really be funny if you standing in the shower and somehow you bumped the handle on you got all wet that would be funny
“Are you bossing me around?”…”Finally” I love it, you two are adorable. BTW, I really enjoyed seeing you review the Cigarette. You have a huge audience and there are a lot of nice boats in that range that people would love to see.
This yacht has timeless design elements. Very nice. I would just make the little seats off the platform a little deeper, otherwise no dings. The curved shower door is a great design idea.
Not quite (needs a 2 person shower in at least the owners suite), but, other than that, it's a great boat...Especially like the enclosed Lazuarette; Being a perfect place to store more battery power, to save on fuel costs, while island hopping...Squeeze in an extra 3 feet in the owner shower, and it has everything for a realistic 150K a year budget...
Terrific balance between the wood, fabric, and finished surfaces throughout the yacht. Makes it warm and welcoming. You two really need to get a small tape measure when it comes to the beds, there always seems to be guesswork.😊
09:13 I believe that USB hub houses a USB-A & USB-C, not mini-USB, perhaps that is what you meant. FYI: Mini-USB is a connector type that followed USB-B and before micro-USB en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_hardware
58 is a little bit BIG for a LOOPER BOAT but daaaannnnnggg that would be an awesome CHOICE to do the LOOP then start on the DOUBLE DITCHES BIG LOOP (the WORLD LOOP :) )
@Navy1977 all the looper boats I have watched said ''50 is the sweet spot'' without gettin into OVERAGE FEES and watnot in the and FITTING INTO THE SMALLER MARINAS ... when you HAVE to dock... but with a sinking dingy davit just anchor and only dock at FUEL DOCKS TO FUEL UP the 6 or 7 times ya gunna need (AT LEAST that is the 8 knott superslo speed, kinda wonder how much fuel that thing burns at the 26 knotts top speed tho! LOL) yea.... just from what OTHERS HAVE SAID .... one even said ''they wouldn't do it on their 54 would have gotten a 48 go tget into a couple of the smaller marinas that looked fun but they couldn't stop there cuz, too big...'' was just goin by wat other you tube loopers have said.... I think that would be a perfect size for the bigger crossings tho!!! it sure is a NICE BOAT!!! And if you get one that is even MORE ELECTRIC than deesel AT the 8 or 10 knotts SLO CRUZE .... the SUN DURING THE DAY can be most of the pusing force!! :) dang... it SURE IS nice! :) wasn't saying it was TOO BIG!!! LOL HEHEHE may have somethign to say about it AFTER I DO THE LOOP ON IT!!! :) BUT :) HEHEHEHE win the lotto/powerball/pch watever moneis and I will order HULL number 13 ;) HEHEHEHE
Nice boat. It would be nice to give the MSRP for each boat. I know if you need to ask you can not afford it. Just saying the price would be nice. Ron USCG RET
You two are simply the best at providing details about these....I've watched scores of these you've provided over the years learning so much so thank you!! How does one find a truly honest broker in the boat buying world? Plan to sell ti all in a few years and take to the seas but figure a good broker is step one...any advice? Thank you once again!!
