Kneeboarding often looks geeky but George had fluid drive. He could read waves and get acceleration that wasn’t in surfing in the 60’s, paving the way for new surfboard designs. Ex knee boarder.

Where did George get the money to explore his interests?

Mostly from commercial Lobster fishing in the 60's, and movie production work in the 70's and 80's..He also made wise real estate investments and lived a life of frugality. Oh, yeah, no ex-wives or children to support. He has always been generous with his time and knowledge. This has ensured he has the abundance he needs to keep creating useful tools for his fellow earthlings.

@@WardieWard Thanks for getting back to me, I’ve lived in Santa Barbara most of my life and in the 80’s, near the estate George used to live on and work, it was on a steep road we used to glove slide on our skateboards, one time he came out and tripped on what we were doing since hardly anyone was doing that yet. He lived on large property with a stately mansion on a road sparsely lined with other stately mansions. He must a been one hell of a lobsterman 😃

@@toddhastings5548 He worked with Rennie Yater and then independently. Did you ever see him driving his home made Go-Kart powered by a Merc Outboard engine thru a BSA motorcyle transmission? I used to race him in his innertube/plywood boat with a 25 hp Johnson for power. We'd zip all over the harbor trying to beat each other to the next body. No harbor patrol interference in those days.

@@WardieWard no, never saw his mutant go cart that’s a very Greenoughesque concept. The reason I enquired about his funding was because he had so many inventions that could of been turned into businesses but he never tried to capitalize on his concepts, always moving on to something else like a mad scientist with no need for money. A legend to me and many of my friends, He helped influenced me to stop wearing shoes for a few years
