The guest pianist is Holly Bowling!!! Great guest playing in the band! Saw her in STL & she was FANTASTIC!!! Really added greatness to their show!!! Can't wait to see them again.
"Eyes" is one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs. This is an incredible version. Stunning. It brings tears to my eyes sometimes."The Four" is equally wonderful. I haven't been this happy about a band for a while now. Holly's face is so radiant during her solos!
I came here to hear a bluegrass cover of one of my favorite Dead tunes. Then I was bummed that The Four wasn't longer! :) I have come back many times now, and this just makes me SO happy! I'm so happy to have found these phenomenal musicians!
Wife and I are traveling to Colorado in Sept. Bucket List is to see a concert in Red Rocks. Looked at the schedule and saw some Bluegrass band was playing. Oh no, was hoping for a classic rock band or something. Have never heard of them so Looked them up on RU-vid. After listening to this for a few minutes, good lord. They are AMAZING. How lucky we are they are there the night we have in Denver or would have never heard of them. Pure soulful musicians. Cannot wait to see them.
Got to see them last December at the Warfield in San Francisco. Holly sat in the entire second set. They did The Four > Eyes of the World. Basically, this same arrangement. At times, the playing was so good I got goosebumps. That's only happened to me a handful of times in 50 years worth of rock concerts. Tedeschi Trucks Band is another one that can do it to you.
GB is one of the great collection of talents out there as is TTB. I still get goosebumps every time I hear two songs: 1 - Into the Mystic by GB, and 2 - Midnight in Harlem by TTB.
Mmmmm.....my very last concert before the pandemic came along (Cleveland, OH). A memory I will hold onto dearly....like a precious, nastalgic piece of history.
Eyes shows are my favorite .I've caught two and they remain etched in my mind.Holly Bowling is simply an unbelievably amazing keyboardist. My most cherrished GS moment was Paul and Holly solo on Windshield at the Anthem in 2019
These guys have been hard at for a long time and now are on fire. They certainly deserve all the success that comes their way. I watched them when they were priest forming in Kalamazoo and they are certainly a world class band. Bringing grassy music to a whole new level and doing right.
GB is one of my all-time fav bands of any genre. But, that key solo by Holly Bowling at 13:15 is sublime. There were moments when I thought I was listening to Keith Jarrett.
Just discovered this fantastic band. Absolute joy to listen to. That keyboardist kinda reminds me of Rosita (Christian Serratos) from "The Walking Dead" hehe.
How could thumbs down this tune? Even if you are a wacko deadhead you have to appreciate the wild effort to capture the muse..and who is the commie clad Bruce Hornsby sound alike? Love this band, plain and simple
The whole time I was thinking, I wish Jerry could hear this. Proud he would be, indeed. It's a great cover for Greensky, especially with Holly. That song is in her DNA.
Serenade you? Perhaps a Beatles reprise "I'm A Loser" It's good to dream Corvus. Suggestion to just slam a door on that richard of yours, and you'll get over it all. lmMFao.
Jack Windrom oh oh I hurt your little feelings, didn’t I? Sorry Samuel, SHE IS MINE NOW.Get over it you little devil you, or Jeffrey Dahmer will get you.
My frigin phone is much smarter than I. I hit the thumbs down button to see why anyone would dislike this. "COME ON OLD MAN, GET WITH IT" . Sorry my friends.
