Those fish probably got taken by some foreign boats after the Mahi left Hawaii. When it comes to Palegic fish, it's every country for themselves.

@@fishydubsfishing6516 the fish numbers are irrelevant when it comes to this top because the bottom line is guys like him aren’t the reason the numbers are low. What he catches in a year is less then a single trip on one of those huge Gill net boats. Rod and reel fishing is the most sustainable fishing there is other then commercial spear fishing.

@@RAHfishing even at 50$ a week it’s still comes to 2600$ per year. It would pay for itself within 1 year. As your channel grows you will most likely be going fishing a lot more because you will need to film more content. My guess is within the next 2-3 years it will make kore sense to go fishing 3-4 times per week for content then it will to work. Since you aren’t just fishing for content and are actually selling the fish then it will definitely end up saying you 10’s of thousands in the long run. I got the idea because my friend Matt is a commercial fishermen and the boat he works on spends 15k per year on ice alone. So he worked out a deal with his captain where he gets 10k per year for ice. The first year it cost him 3500 to get everything he needed but he’s been doing it for over 10 years now so that 3500 invest has made him over 100k even if you aren’t going fishing every day I’m sure you know others that need ice. All you need is the ice maker and a coffin size freeze to store the ice.

@@RAHfishing I did the same thing as a commercial fishing salmon fisherman in California for 20 years. It was a hobby for me, hats off to those who do it full time. I always was proud of suppling such a great source of protein laden food to those who would never be able to get it other than purchasing it. Negative statements about harvesting food usually comes from those with full bellies. Great video the boat is looking good.
