The key lies within the word itself, "battle"....not tea party mate. So yes there should be a level of disrespect as you're trying to beat the other opponent, you should try to do everything to get into their head such as taunting. Greenteck does taunts, it's old school you just think it's disrespect because you never heard of a taunt. Mma fighters do it all the time...taught each other and talk about each other sometimes there may be a disrespect that comes with taunting but if you can't handle it why are you battling? go to cyphers if you can't handle the heat in a battle. This "street dance" comes from the streets and you gotta expect the street that comes with it. Also street dance battles in the hood weren't friendly unless they were your buddies or cool dudes, from what I heard back in the day it was worse and dudes was getting shot at over a dance battle. Nothing happened in this battle except green taunted waydi by knocking a drinking bottle, then guess what nothing happened. No big deal, don't see why everyone is upset over a water bottle. Back in the day you could get shot, green & waydi both could of reacted worse than they did but they didn't so get over it they controlled the,selves well. I used mma as an example of taunting in sports, dance still has sportsmanship even though it's not a sport but more a lifestyle that comes with hip hop. Because street dance is a lifestyle obviously that persons mentality is going to come with it when it comes to battles.

If I remember correctly.. The year before Salah mad it to the semis...or solo finals I'm not sure. Salah is a popper as well but he made it work. Lol, dancer's dont have a "type" of music. If you're expressing yourself, which is what you should be doing, you can dance to anything.

Greenteck is one of my favourite dancers. I don't know why he is behaving like that these days, he used to be kind of sweet. It's really odd. He and Majid are in the same crew and I've seen Majid support him in his battles, so I know they're cool but I dunno what happened between him and Waydi.

If u guys look passed Greens "bad attitude", his set was amazing in comparison to Majid's first round. bias crowd. felt sorry for Kefton tho, he didn't wanna be involved in the beef aspect of the battle. don't really care who won, but Green definitely didn't get smoked. Best set was for sure by him. However Majid and Waydi had wwwwaaaayyyy better chemistry. That's the only reason why Teck and Kefton lost in my eyes. Green was definitely the strongest dancer here, never mind him hitting a bottle out his hand. I could careless.

I think we grew out of it tho, we only see an issue when dudes stop dancing to fight or something. Green did things none of those guys could do in his set, but they did things green could do. I feel bad all of these years later that Kefton had to be weighed down by that fool Green and his antics. But I'm glad Kefton was still respectful and didn't automatically take part in his partner's bad behavior. And Kefton did super well.
Likewise, Greenteck is a 1v1 competitor, he usually does not have an armed team and when he competes accompanied he is an impromptu duo so in these 2v2 competitions it depends a lot on who he has as a partner if he is someone who has his level most likely to win as In this same event in 2018 he made a pair with slim boogie and they were superior by far and independent that they did not have pre-armed choreographies as they had majid and waydi.

You don't see other dancers nowadays acting a fool at these competitions. We are not the same generation as the street gang bangers that use to battle. Yes, Waydi's reaction was soft and he should't of gotten that upset over it, but that type of behavior is not respected amongst the dancers in these competitions anymore because SOCIETY AND THE CURRENT GENERATION OF DANCERS HAS CHANGED. (You can see that Kefton is almost embarrassed by Greenteck's reckless attitude.) Instead of trying to act all tough by knocking a water bottle out of someone's hand, OUT DANCE THEM. Yes, they are french dancers in an event in France with french judges. The french are also very nationalistic when it comes to dancing as well and Waydi is a member of the criminalz squad who are one of the most popular dance groups from France as well so of course the crowd is biased.
just my 2 cents. i feel like green has been around and aquired alot of styles and skills along the way, not entertaining the behavior but i think he just has something against hip hop dancers of today but also dancers in general even poppers and criminals crew as a whole. alot of hip hop dancers get trashed by poppers often bc they reset alot and kind of use the same movements just varied slightly. just saying imo i personally dislike hip hop dancing for the most part. are alot of them skilled yes, but they don't have an arsenal to talent and dancing ability to cypher through. but i do like waydi, to keep it real. Greenteck beat majid, waydi beat kefton but majid slipped real hard and did not play it off well at all so other than the disrespect greenteck and kefton won.

Son interprétation de la danse et les nouveaux mouvement qu'il amène son souvent copié mais bien sur moins bien réalisés. Maintenant, j'aimerai bien voir si un jour waydi ou encore majid ou un quelconque autre danseur peut un jour faire évoluer son style de danse comme greenteck arrive à faire pratiquement tout les ans.
