@@MelbourneMaster Not just that, but his popping looked a lot more "complete" in terms of his arsenal of moves. He's so close to the old school poppers but still unique with his style - difficult to put a finger on it. Today, not so much in my opinion.
@@diggie72 Well I agree and disagree. Yes he was closer to the original style back then - I wouldnt call that more complete and his arsenal of moves certainly was alot smaller back then compared to now. However I really liked his old more fresno inspired approach combined with nasty leg moves. But there is no doubt old green vs new green in a popping battle, new green would smoke his former self on every imaginable parameter. Does that mean we should like his new style more? Not necessarily. Depends on what youre into.
@@MelbourneMaster Thanks for taking me to school. I agree he probably would smoke his former self, his older routines are way more entertaining to my eyes, to me it's funkier, and you hit the nail on the head regarding his older leg work.
@@diggie72 That is why, as he says, it was somewhat more funky, in addition to mixing it in part with hiphop than in itself, it is a more visually pleasing style. and in relation to the current one, it does not use so much footwork but if it is much more technical and clean in its movements, in addition to always trying to add more difficult steps, in the same way I add in time a very large arsenal maybe not much notice In recent years due to the fact that poping events have become so widespread that I think they should be easy 5 times more in relation to those that were done in 2012 backwards, which is why it appears in many events that wears out their independent routines more added new steps. And I think that it happens to practically all dancers who go out events very often.
Dude you don't know what you say.. Gator has been a popper for over a decade. He has been in the biggest battles on earth. He knows his foundations believe me... hes good. Greenteck won this because his ground game was amazing
this video also shows how more fun his style was back in those days without him perfected the technique. now he did perfect those pops and stops but its not so fun to see cause he gave up those freestyles
Greenteck killed this dude on every level.I like how they look at their watches. 2 rounds a piece, isnt it? Gator should have pushed his 2nd round further if the time was a concern.
