I’m watching this one year after it was made and I’m impressed with the changes from then to June 2024 when I spent a week here! Moving to GV from north of Detroit Michigan where it’s nothing even close to similar! So many new place opened in the West End and some I see on this video aren’t there now. Overall this is such a walkable area and I never once felt in danger! I’ll be a resident by the end of this year and look forward to revisiting this part of the city!

@@southernstalwart Thank you! Indeed I love the restaurants in the West End and all the little shops. I didn’t mean to imply you need to update your video- I was just impressed to note the growth the area experienced in such a short time. I come from the land of fast drivers and bad roads! I can’t imagine it will be worse there than here, unless driving too slow! But when I was there I found all the highways to be very tolerable! I’ll keep an eye open for you and I’ll say “hi!” If I see you on the streets!

@@CarolJoyable I didn’t think you were, I just know I need to because so much has changed. ☺️ And I’m definitely glad the roads seem tolerable to you, because I’m originally from North Carolina in our work roads were always better in my opinion. Say hi if you happen to see me! You can usually find me in the evenings on the swap rabbit Trail downtown. 😁

I’m glad I watched this video. We frequently visit Greenville! We don’t go down West End, but need to start. The Gather Greenville area/ restaurants looked pretty neat and the food sounded really good! Thanks for sharing!

I don’t have many suggestions on buying a car. There are many car dealerships in the area . One suggestion would be to check out Facebook Marketplace. Best of luck!
