No. U are AMAZING man. It's crazy how much info you share. (I know you a VERY GOOD grade in the NYC tour guide test. Hahahaha) By the way, you've been working out? Aren't you bigger?
Hey! You probably won’t see this comment, but I discovered your channel, i watched all the videos. Now i’m in love of New York even more and you help a lot of people like me, who will probably never have the chance to see this wonderfull place. Thank you!
Oh, I'm seeing this comment! Thanks for watching my videos. I'm glad you're enjoying them, and I am trying to be better about making videos more consistently. One day, you'll make it to NYC!
NYU was home through an M.A. and a Ph.D. I love this area so much. Vancouver is my actual home, but Manhattan, and especially Greenwich Village, and the West Village, will always be a second home! This is such a fabulous walking tour!! Beautiful memories. I can't wait until travel is safe again, and I can get back to visit. Special times. Love Dylan's apartment!!
Been walking this neighbourhood for some 30 years but learned more in this vid in 18 minutes. Love your platform here Mr Delgado. Simply the very best guided tours on RU-vid. Thank you -
Great content, haven't been around there in awhile, nothing like the sight of first year NYU film students walking around with their camera looking lost..also the girl you inserted looks like Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, you're international now, building that resume...lol
Tom da walkin, talking, (and dare I say pooping) NYC Encyclopedia. Video needs to be watched multiple times, it's that informative. Thanks for the tour. PopSpotsNYC.com/nighthawks/ has a very good architectural analysis of the well known painting "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper. Present day location 70 Greenwich Ave. & 11th St.. Digression Alert: Hopper could find the most boring subject to paint when a few yards away would a grand panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline. That takes talent. Although, he did paint rooftops. Tom, howzabout various rooftop views of nyc? From tenements like as you lived there, pigeon droppings and all. One word. Leonard Cohen. His lyrics are very good and he was at the Chelsea Hotel.
Hey Tom...enjoyed this informative trip through the Villlage. Ill be sending a tip through Sarah Funk's Patreon. I looked at Venmo, but im not comfortable using it. Please let me know you got your 50%. Take care and stay safe!
As a german i have to say 2 things. 1. Thanks for your Videos. Always fun. 2. I didn't Know, that Radeberger Pils is a thing in New York (Johns Pizza). Is it? Or just the Parasol? Bye, Sven
Tom I still have never had a Twitter account and Facebook I shut down in 2012. Due to the current state of our union I recently open a new Facebook only to watch live coverage end stop. However, in order to communicate with you I may open a Twitter account for that purpose. I mean really what doesn't Google know about me at this point. Right about now Roberta Flack's song Killing Me Softly is pushing out my thoughts of better judgement. You'll know when I've left my obscurity behind and when Google learns of a scrumptious morsel in it's mist, at last I acquiesce. May God have mercy on my soul.
You have a gentile heart and a wonderful brain Tom. Learning from you is the most enjoyable thing in the world. Thank you so much for this funny and informative video.
This guy is going to make money. He knows NYC and does not entertain controversy and piss people off. In addition he understands the concept of diversity!
Tom, I couldn't find a PayPal link on your channel. So I sent my tip through Sarah's PayPal account, but I haven't had any reaction from her yet. Hope you get your 50% of the tip as promised. The SoHo tour with her was great too, but there is so much more information on your tours, like this one. I really appreciate that. A good tour/service, even virtual, has a real value.
I'm gonna sub just because of your awesome patter. This brings back so many memories, I grew up on 3rd between MacDougal and Sixth. Back when the train was 15 cents and the tokens could be used as cash.
Perfect!!! Great video, Tom! I love it. New subscriber here! Greetings from the EU. Btw. 17:05 - Marie's Crisis is really famous! It's fantastic showtune sing along piano bar!
Amazing video, best tour guide and will definitely reach out when in NYC to visit my daughter who’s goes to NYU... that is, if by then you haven’t gotten millions of subscribers and stop doing tours! Keep it up, it’s only a matter of time before you hit gold.
Again a good video, love your density of facts, probably hard to get more into an 18-minutes video. Love the mix of more trivia-like and historical facts.
If I had a time machine, I’d set it for summer 1961, Greenwich Village. I’d see today’s icons in their twenties, and I’d see the great blues artists too
When I lived at 8 Charles St. In 1980 my rent for 1 Bedroom , with loft was $375. Per month. 2 bedroom on 12th Street was $425. Per month. Wow. Electric and A.C included.
If Gov. Cuomo is willing to cook dinner for the Hamptons, does your Tour come with a slice of pizza? The value-added Tour: Tickets to one of your stand-up gigs, ladies get a 🌹,and a free offer to conch-surf at their place? ... or, Zero Hedge, Mon. 8/17, '49 in 72'. Pizza, a rose and optional ballistic plates?
I love watching your site,TV sucks. I love new york and your site shows it the best!I'm up in albany, small albany as we call it,but it is a great city.lots of history.i travel all over it.just like nyc every corner has something. Keep putting them out there.
watching quite a few of these Walking Tours , so strange to see the ones filmed during Covid, compared to the earlier ones, so many less people on the streets. Same great history and quick jokes
Great tour Tom. Thanks. First time I was in the Village was on a road trip the summer after high school. A friend of mine acquired a dime bag of oregano from some stranger in Washington Square Park. Haha.
“I’m stuck here babay!” These videos always make me smile so much with your wit and knowledge. I love learning about a city I’ve lived in for over a decade (i used to work on minetta lane and had no idea it was a creek!). You need at least a million more followers. Please do a video on the Lower East Side!
I've been e-mailing RU-vid about giving me more followers and they haven't gotten back to me. I'll let you know what happens. And yes, definitely going to do a walk through the LES.
You are a great guide. I lived at 8 Charles St, West 4 the St. Bleeker St. And finally 80 n.moore St in Tribeca. Until moving to Florida. In 1995. Loved New York but as I got older realized Manhattan was not for older, senoir citizens So gave up apartment living for a single family home . So glad I lived in Manhattan ., No place better, but I now love Florida. Thanks
Hey Tom......any videos on Spanish harlem......history there to be talked about lots of nice architecture.....and famous people.....it would be interesting
Thanks so much for this tour in my favorite city, THE City! I love all the info you provide and the added visuals are nice. Keep up the fantastic content!
Tom, you never disappoint. You just passed by one of my favorite bars. Ever. Down the hatch. We used to frequent it so much, the owner knew as as the girls and would have our wings ready. Best wings in NYC. hands down. love my city. Even though I left it. Born and raised. I’ll always be a New “Yawker”
I saw that movie Inside Llewyn Davis last night. It has a bunch of scenes featuring the Greenwich Village. Washington square park and MacDougal street.
