Nice to hear from you Backwoods. As wet and thick as those leaves were, best to take the top layer off to let them dry. Also got an inch or so of rain the day before this video so there's that.
Thats an industrial size job. Too big for light duty tool. Rake it up 1st. Then put the bulk into trash can by hand. Finish the small stuff and detail the egdes with the vacuum
The leaf blower mode works really good. You are absolutely right on using the leaf vac for what you would call "detail" work. Am quite disappointed in the vacuum mode performance.
Please comment on the bag. Many Amazon reviewers complain about the bag because: (1) it lets dust through the bag which makes using it a dirty experience, and (2) the poor zipper quality. Also, how is the suction? Can it lift pine cones and pieces of branch? How good is the mulching? Doesn't look like you use the mulcher; didn't know it was an option not to.
This blower-vac is not designed to do pine cones. Branches would destroy it. After this video I quit using the vacuum function as it was that bad in performance.
I have a Greenworks Leaf Blower. Does great so far. But this? No thank you. Doesn't work like a pro should. Thanks for this video. It helps me know which direction to take. It was funny to see that the bag wasn't zipped from the start. A comedy fun.
It would have been faster and easier to just pick up raked piles by hand. With a 21 minute run-time battery, it’s just not worth the hassle for the amount of time you have to invest in getting the job done.
I also did a video on using it to blow the leaves. Works a helluva lot better as a blower. Only time I see it making sense to use the vacuum parts is if working in sensitive flower beds/garden areas.
Simply said It sucks..and does not suck very well😁.. .I have a similar one and it is OK for small job....as someone posted...I use a rake and my hands... OK as a small blower, lousy mulcher. No power.. Plus as ou can see it is not easy to carry for a small person who has little strength.
It does mulch, but not very good. Can do a video on what I think is the issue with the mulching ability if you like. Won't be difficult to do such a video if it helps in a purchase decision.
@@thefirewooddoctor but you were vacuuming not blowing. The 80v blower, assuming it vacuumed, would pick up big clumps of leaves. If it were me, I would rake first
By you saying "this does not appear much", are you saying that the lack of appearance on my channel that the leaf blower-vac is a terrible piece of kit? Just asking for clarification on what your comment means before I can properly respond.
I was very disappointed myself. Is meant for light duty cleaning of flower beds. This 40V machine is definitely not meant to do what I was trying to make it do. But it blows the leaves pretty darn good though for its size. As bad as this unit vacs and mulches, should be a leaf blower only and save the manufacturing cost of making it a vacuum model.
