Let me know in the comments below what you think of the Greeeworks PRO 80 volt 22” snow thrower?

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, including the ice-cleaning result. It helps me a lot before ordering a greenwork.

I have a big self-propelled 2 stage gas powered snow blower that I use for lots of snow, but shoveled when it was 4 inches or less. I just picked this Greenworks snow blower up for light stuff. I'm looking forward to the first snow to test it out. I already had the mower, string trimmer, and blower so was already impressed with Greenworks tools.

Nice it’s a great unit. I also have a gas 2 stage that o use to use in my business. Now that I don’t do snow removal anymore I don’t like using the gas unit on my own driveway. Way too noisy. Especially on those quiet winter evenings. The green works is great for late night snow removal. Thanks for watching.

All these videos are great but no one ever post doing the bottom of their driveways after the snowplow shows up 😂😂

I live in a cul de sac and the snow plows don’t come down my street. So I can’t test that. The most they do is send the salters. We are left to fend for ourselves. 😂 Thanks for watching

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccessshit 😂 I’m at a corner so I get the shitty end of the stick. Bought my first snow blower let’s see how it works this winter. Same blower actually too 🙏🏽🙏🏽

That's the problem when you get a snowfall that is heavy, wet snow or sticky snow or freezing rain and the snow hardens like crust. The single stage blowers can't handle it. And I found this out the hard way. It will take you double the time and energy to clear the driveway. Up in Toronto, Ontario, the snow falls have been of this kind of consistency, not the powdery, fluffy stuff. So next year I am definitely upgrading to a two stage blower.

The second part of the video shows it clearing snow after freezing rain with a ice crust on it. Definitely more work but it got it done. A two stage with a steel auger would be better suited if you get those ice conditions more often. As far as heavy wet snow or sticky slushy stuff goes. I have a gas two stage that does not like those conditions either. It just comes up out of the chute and falls back on top of the machine. Thanks for watching.

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess I live in Wisconsin in a rural area where the past number of winters up here have been getting alot of ice wet snow (and high inch heavy snow) at times and I just got the Greenworks 2 Stage Snowblower this week, will be curious to see how well it performs when the snow starts coming. I also owned a 2 stage gas snowblower but we screwed up with flooding the machine with too much gas too often due to lack of experience with gas equipment (As I barely use it every year which is why I decided to go electric with a 2 stage snowblower now, its expensive but I believe its worth it) and had to keep getting new sparkplugs and we got the sparkplug hole crossthreaded on accident so now the cylinder will have to be replaced which is a expensive repair. Next I will be looking to sell the old gas snowblower now.

You got it good, I left there and went north of 7 😂😂 let’s see how my 4th year will be up here with THIS blower! I’m excited tbh!

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccesswax your chutes to prevent clogging. I use a spray on wax or I've used cooking spray oil on a rag. I do snow service. Greese up shovels too to prevent snow sticking to your shovel.

I have the Kobalt (Lowes) version of this that I bought barely used and have seen similar performance. I'm hoping that it does well enough to replace my 5hp, 2 stage gas snow thrower. The only potential problem area might be the end of driveway plow pile after a big snowfall. Great video - thanks.

Get the green-works power shovel. It works well on wet heavy snow and powdery snow. I have the pro plow like you and the shovel and I feel like the shovel packs more of a punch.

Interesting. I’ll have to look at that next year. Thanks for watching.
@rcguymike

It has basically the same power but is 10" narrower, it throws really well but you can't aim it so it is impractical for driveways or areas where the snow has to go in a specific location that isn't directly in front of the machine... sometimes you can use a less than optimal travel path, but not always. If there's hardpack or light ice I'll flip it over and let the impeller chew on it, it's very tough
@rcguymike
@rcguymike Год назад
It is awkwardly heavy though so unless you're only sliding it around it can be cumbersome

Thanks for the comment. I forget most of the world uses the metric system, even though I’m in Canada that also uses metric. I just so use to the SAE system. I was actually just editing another video on a new 2 stage battery snow blower I will be testing out this year when I saw your comment, so I went back to the beginning to add all the metric measurements to my on screen graphics. Thanks for watching.

Hi, I have a corded 15amp SnowJo thrower since 4 years and it is really bad performance compared to your Battery Snow thrower. It has the same type of rubber blade and internal motor belt. My belt slip under heavy or wet snow and the propeler just stop moving while the internal belt is slipping. My question is... Does the belt slip on your Greenworks snow thrower under heavy snow conditions or if it keeps turning well?

We get mostly wet heavy snow here in Illinois. Will this handle 4-8 inch heavy wet snow

Does this snow blower leave a mark on your cement? Mine does, and it does not push very easy. Is it me or my machine? Thanks!
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess 7 месяцев назад
It’s does not leave any marks on my driveway but I have exposed aggregate. What is making the marks? If it’s the auger you could adjust the skid shoes on the side to raise up the machine a bit. Also I find it very easy to push unless it’s uphill or even a slight up slope depending on the snow. Thanks for watching.

I might be considering getting this snowblower in the future, one question is the cement scrapper below the auger metal or is it hard plastic?

I just pulled it out of storage in preparation for this winter. The scraper is plastic. Thanks for watching.

How long approximately you can use it? just roughly.

It’s rated for a 4 car driveway or up to 60 minutes per charge on the included 4Ah battery. My own driveway was usually only half with the cars parked o it but I did a 4 car driveway a few times and never had an issue or ran out of battery. Thanks for watching.
