I picked up this cordless battery powered leaf blower for Father's day last year and have been using it for the past 2 seasons. In this video I go over some of it's features and run it through a few comparison tests. The model in this video was made by Greenworks, but was branded as Masterforce specifically for Menards. Both Masterforce and Greenworks 80V products are identical and use the same batteries. Last year when I bought it, it was the strongest leaf blower on the market. Since then Ego has come out with a blower that’s a bit stronger at 765 CFM. You can find the blower and other products mentioned in this video below.

Greenworks has a even stronger blower, it’s rated at 800 CFM. It my not have existed when you made this video.

Thanks bro. You convince me to sell my Ego 56v 530cm leaf blower for the Greenworks Pro 80v 730cm leaf blower! I already own the Greenworks 80v self propelled lawn mower, Greenworks 80v Edger, and the Greenworks Pro 80v riding mower. Question how's the blower holding up so far? Pros? Cons?

It's all about the batteries. I actually own EGO's edger with their multi-head system. I'm waiting for EGO to put out a leaf vac. Ryobi already has one but I have 5 10ah EGO packs So I'm invested in that platform.

It’s definitely about batteries. I have a ton of Ryobi 18v’s that I’m invested in that are great for DIY/handyman jobs. EGO is great as well. Of course once you invest in a brand you tend to stick with them because of the batteries.

I’d imagine it’s a store branding thing. Menards sells masterforce while Lowes sells Kobalt.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ! I WAS GIFTED A GREENWORKS BLOWER ! IT WORKS OK BUT THE BATTERIES ONLY RUN FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN SHUTS DOWN. I WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND IT RUNS AGAIN. ON AND OFF LIKE THAT TILL IT TOTALLY DIES. GETTING LESS AND LESS TIME ON THE BLOWING MODE. PIECE OF JUNK ! AND THE BATTERIES COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS A NEW BLOWER, BATTERY AND CHARGER ! JUNK TRASH ! FYI

Sounds like something is defective possibly in the battery to keep it shutting down like that. If I were in your shoes I’d call Greenworks and see if it falls under warranty or if they have any suggestions for you. Unfortunately defects can affect any brand. My blower however still runs great and I’ve been very happy with it.

They come with a 4yr warranty. Return it for a new one. And if you buy it at Costco they double that warranty to 8yrs. I have both the trimmer and the blower and they're both fantastic.
