Greer was 81 at the time of this interview and continued to demonstrate all that made her so very special. Her voice and manner of speaking is both poetry and music. She was truly one of the most gracious, charming and lovely women that ever lived.
Well - a new favorite! I've always like Garson. Now that I hear her lovely articulation and sensibility and intelligence, I love her! I'll watch her films now with a new awareness of this most articulate of actresses - and kind - I've ever heard.
OMG! Thank you SO much for posting this! I have wanted to see footage of Ms. Garson in an interview for many years. I thank you for this opportunity you've given us!
Thank you so very much for making this interview available. Such a lady! What beauty; what grace; what a mind! After watching this interview, I believe that she played Mrs. Miniver exactly as she was herself. Mrs. Miniver quite in fact was the “real” Greer Garson! That’s a very happy thought for me. - Roy
Very grateful for this and the entire interview. I am greedy enough to wish it had been longer. OR is there footage recorded but not shown? Nevertheless, her last years were very difficult, health wise. Congestive Heart Failure is not an easy end. But she was stoic and there were close friends who tended to her..ESP. Van zvliburn, who rushed back from a Tokyo engagement to be by her side, holding her hand, as the end came. RIP.
what an amazing woman. Greer Garson did the Introduction for " The Little Drummer Boy 1968 (Full Movie Christmas Movies for Kids) Thanks for sharing . nicholas8nj
