Lemara is the youngest son of Nelson and Maggie Reiyia. His name literally translates as “son of the Mara”, and that he very much is in both spirit and courage. He is 9 years old now and is following in his parents’ footsteps to be a champion of his ancestral land. His older brother, Ryan (18) recently graduated from high school and plans to study journalism and filmmaking. Those plans are on hold due to the pandemic. So the Reiyia brothers have teamed up to make some videos to show kids (and others) around the world what life is like at Nashulai, the world outside their door.
