Welcome. And each morning a deep breath of the thinner than CA air and a thoughtful gaze on Pikes Peak will refresh your spirit and invigorate you. It always amazed me how each day could look new, fresh and unique. Ken Anderson '72.
That was the most unusual welcome aboard message I've ever listened to congratulations look up FOOT freshman outdoor orientation trips they do it during the first block and I would encourage you to go on one of them it's a really good experience and you get to meet some of the students and some of the leaders of the college on the personal level
So thrilled for the CC students and community to have such a remarkable, impressive woman at the helm. The college appears to be in capable hands and can't wait to see how CC soars under her leadership.
This comment aged poorly, L Song Richardson was a terrible president of CC and has done damage that will take years to reverse. She came in, made completely unnecessary and idiotic decisions and policy changes that have weakened the college (like pulling out of US News rankings which has in turn reduced applications and therefore increased acceptance rate), and now is leaving her mess for someone else to clean up. Good riddance!
There are those times "if it ain't rough, it ain't right" . So glad you persevered! Welcome, Congratulations, and Best Wishes to you your administration and the entire CC community in this new era. Nuriyah Bone'-Owens CC Parent Community Member P'19 & P'22
welcome to CC - thanks for sharing this very human heart-warming story - I hope the cats are doing well - help bring an appreciation for inquiry, diversity, and justice to the CC campus and community - thank you for coming David E. Drake, D.O., Class of '74 - started in the first year of the Block Plan in 1970
Welcome to CC, President Richardson!!!!! We are clearly in good hands if you and the cats made it through those trials. We called ourselves The Big Cats on the swim team. Nice to hear you've brought some Little Cats to join the fun. Make us proud, madam president!! Bill Hulings '88
Welcome to CC. Your travel sounds like any one of my journeys back an forth between California and Colorado during my student days. LOL You are at a special place.
