I love the way you speak to us in French casually then say it in English. It makes me challenge myself by trying to understand what you say before you reveal the English translation. I also really enjoy the entertainment value. You don't simply explain, you seem to have fun with it, which in turn makes it fun for me as well. I'm learning on my own for fun, but I have to admit that with so many different ways to learn I am having difficulty sticking with one way, which makes it sort of frustrating. One question. I've head au revoir said as both "oh-revwah" and "oh-vwah". Is there a difference? Thanks.
I've been studying French for about 10 years and in my experience, the reason why sometimes it sounds like "oh-vwah" is because the R is de-emphasized so that you can hardly hear it, but yes, that is a very native way of pronouncing it.
Thank you very much dear Alexa, i really like your vidoes. you make French so much entertaining and fun. I learned a lot from your lessons more that lessons at college. Thanks.
