it reves 7500 rpm producing 38bhp there is a slight powerband but a very rideable bike i love it as i owned it since i was 16 and at 16 to have a 380cc motocross bike is a big thing ! also have a look at my other videos tm400 and cz400 and there some of bristol bike show as well
@vetterdstr the steffa ignition is fussy to set up and not always easy to diagnose where problem in ususaly the low tesion set up need rewinding becasue people dammage the coil taking the flywheel off 9/10 but nice to hear happy memories though
hello it revs to 7.200rpm 38bhp they love revs the 380 twinport griffon but later modelsa produced 44bhp at 6500rpm (more torque). it was smoking as u lay them up with lots of oil due to the crank costing 350 pounds to overhall (alpha bearings) it has mid to top range and was in band at the higher reves you heard they are getting verry sought after but getting hard to get better investment than a bank at the mo ! regards greeves 246
only if the mixture is weak aparently in the weston beach race they used to fit handle bar chokes to the 500,s in the 1980,s to keep them rich from siezing up !.
yes the steffa ignition is fussy to set up it takes me quite ahwile to ge tit right 3.1/2 mm before top dead center to within half a thou ;-) with a dial gauge i love the exhaust note !
