It appears Greg can't let go of his past as a teacher. That was just like a school assembly where he was berating some naughty kids.

I honestly expected him at the end to say "Anyway... don't forget to all bring your deposits for the Ski-Trip before the end of the week... or you WON'T BE GOING... is that clear?"

I'm pretty sure actors wouldn't mind sitting through a longer awards ceremony so that their production colleagues could be given awards too. And if an actor (who knows production teams arrive long before they do, leave long after they do, prep for weeks before they do, and work in post for weeks after they do) can't be bothered to sit longer to see their colleagues receive deserved recognition, then they don't deserve to be sitting amongst the talent of people who work with them.

Why do these awards have to be separate? I guess because viewers mostly don’t understand, or I guess, care, about all the different roles in tv and films , just actors and the show themselves...most people don’t even know or care who writes or directs or produces stuff they watch, no matter the rest of the crew..pretty sad...every tv show and film involves the talents and hard work of hundreds of people sometimes thousands

Hi,there. Just before the awards ceremony there was a Edison film clip,saying he didn't invent the light bulb, he tried to steal that invention and took the inventor to court over this and losted the case, because he had plagiarized someone else's work and was shown up for the liar what he was. and now there's a film about this guy. He run a business where he hired people to invent things Edison and his backers made a lot of money from this and patent's. One of those guys was Nicholas Tesla who Edison stole from, but he wouldn't say Tesla because he worked for him it was about the work not money. Tesla inventions automatically became Edison's because of stupid American law. In Britain this is not so, this is why if your American you should patents every invention in Britain and you keep 100% of your invention and you can make your own deals. When Lucas asked a British fellow to make helmets of Stormtroopers and I think Darth Vader for Star Wars and not knowing our laws, but to make it look sinister that was the only input allegedly. That was it then this fellow was taken to court when he carried on making these which he had a right to after the films years later, but Lucas didn't know our laws and he thought American law was superior to British law if this guy's today he can pass on or sell his patents to other people they could make them helmets to. And Lucas and Disney could not do a thing about it. Cumberbatch should know better and should know his history as well. A very well played out speech to a audience of happyish people celebrating something but not appreciated his comments which doesn't surprise me in the least as these happyish people were under the weather so to speak in a kind of way. Goofus a small God. Greg's speech everything!

I love Greg Davies and find him funny. So I enjoyed his bit. But I cant believe a black women with 30+ years career gets an award and you cut the video of her career and her speech, and only include Greg's (not black, not female) intro! You don't even put her name in the title. What is that about?!?!🤯
