If you listen to his stand-up, you can see where his wife was behind his death. A LOT of jokes about a nagging wife who just can't ever be happy about anything and the luxurious life that he's provided for her.

A man jumped off a cruise ship to get away from his wife ... which sounds crazy ... to anyone who isn't married.

awesone comedian, today he would be rich and succesful with RU-vid series or something, a pity he died. most of comedians cant even compare with him.

@@baldwinwallace4926 It was the drugs, not his wife. He couldn't kick them and he knew it was going to kill him and they did. A graduate from Harvard law school. He was so quick witted and a natural at his craft of comedy. We all need to take ownership of our weaknesses and stop blaming others for our problems. He was his worst enemy. RIP Greg!!

well said, yes beginning of the end? one o the best his degree is a testament to his ability to overcome challenges,, I watched him closely found his energy was unsustainable, his roast of favor flay, crossed the line in some mind s, seen it live recording does not do it justice, one can never forget comedians are given a (BIG) break,,,we can crucify them, sanction them but then the spirit of the dark humor that life deals us all is not truly understood? Greg was one of those guys, you know, extremely talented and funny, but he never broke through all the way, and I don't know why. Him roasting Flavor was the hardest I've laughed that I can remember ... RIP doggie

Greg was not kidding when he said that this was going to kill him. Can you imagine seeing a no-talent like Larry the Cable guy get so famous and rich while you're 1000 times the comedian that he is? It really is unfair.

I'm usually way late to the party, too. Glad you're enjoying his work because he was one of the very best. So many tears when he passed. He was someone you kinda looked up to in a weird way. George Carlin made me feel that way, too. More than clever and funny, they were right.

He saw the world for what it truly was... and it broke him. Like it's broken me. Expect i dont have the balls ever do heroin or stand-up..
