I was a teen in the 80s, best time ever, definitely the best music , more and more younger people are finding out ,we grew up in the best times ever, and the best music in history.
And I don't care what color/ethnicity you are: this cut and remix is a NECESSARY and classic jam for EVERYONE. Signed, a Black Man Who Loves Old School Jams Especially This One. 👍🏾
There are only a handful of songs that never get old no matter how much u play them and it’s just something about them like the stars aligned when they were written or something and became this untouchable master piece, other songs like this include Eminence front by The Who, Lunatic fringe by Red rider, Long way home by Supertramp to name a few
@@greenlantern1123 Haven't heard this song in a long time, just popped in my head a few minutes ago. As the first notes started I felt I was back in the 80's and this was coming from the radio.
The 80s WILL NEVER DIE MUSICALLY; for the ones who were there from beginning to end musically speaking😀❤️😀❤️ The further the 80s gets behind us more and more I MISS IT EMOTIONALLY and MUSICALLY❤️😢❤️😢 I can only take about 2% or less of today’s music unless it’s house music or some kind of 80s remix (kind of if remixed right?!?)
That is the beauty of music if you really enjoy music. Music is truly a universal language and never gets old no matter what eras. I love music from all the different times from the big bands of the 40s , 50s and so on until modern day. Check out the Benny Goodman story or the Glen Miller story. If these movies don’t move you then in my opinion you’re not that into music.
It ended, so it could take a (well-earned) break...to return, in flashes, during the late '90s, and start its takeover again in The 2010s, now reaching its new, official second life just before 2020.
they still do.... art evolves...and the stuff most think isn't "art", well....they themselves can't do it, and probably haven't tried. It's like rap, for instance. I don't care for it but I acknowledge the effort. Plus, I do play instruments and sing in my particular niche' of interest.
Impresionante este temon lo recuerdo en nuestra juventud con mucho cariño x su fuerza increíble y en lo musical excelente saludos a todos los que vivieron esa época hermosa
in the 80's you couldn't get a juke box to get louder, these songs were playing nite and day,in my bar,so i bought a amp to run the music thru,my bar was full constantly, people want to hear their work,KIHN had his shit in one sock, and he rocked
Nem me fala, cara. Nem me fale!! Tambem sinto aquela saudade angustiante da decada de 80. O mundo era mais colorido e alegre, pelo menos pra nos que eramos jovens. To com 59 anos e vivi intensamente os anos 80 e dancei muuuuito ao som desta musica em especial.
THIS is a true extended mix... they didn't just repeat every 4 bars with the preset drumbeats--such great stylistic nuances to this version. So proud to be an 80s child :)
Reagonomics and rock n roll, cheap cocaine, thai stick weed, seedy columbian, and 100's of hot girls with nothing better to do than use me for ""I WAS MORE THAT WILLING TO PARTICIPATE "" DISCOVERING LOTS AND LOTS OF SEX . LOTS. KILLER MUSIC. CAN I GET A HELL YES??
What great times back in the 80s listening to music and hanging out with friends. Laughing all the time. Not a care in the world. Enjoying life and love and the beautiful sea with Neptune himself. Still today I make a point of doing the same. Things happen whether we worry or not. Let the universe take care of you and never forget to do the legwork. Lov'n Life here in South Pasadena FL.
My God I, I didn´t know anything ´bout this song before, I just listened until right now!!!!!! 29/11/2017. My Godddd!!!! It´s really good song. I like it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up in the 80's. Graduated 83. Lived on a shore island. Clubs all over the place. Fun times n great memories that I'll never forget. Cruising the strip and the boardwalk. The beach in the summer. Loved every minute of it...
@@richbrake9910 Oh well my man. I'm really sorry to hear that. Yup. I grew up in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey my friend. Went to St.Ann's Catholic Grammer School. The went to Wildwood Catholic High School. The Grammer School was in Wildwood, N.J. , The High School was in North Wildwood, N.J. So 3 little town's. Well 4 counting West Wildwood, N.J. the whole entire island is maybe a little longer than 6, 6.5 miles. We do have 5 Miles of a beautiful, clean, free of charge no tag Beach here too.
@@anthonycrescenzo8182 And still can't spell 'grammar?" That's the Catholics for ya! Sorry, as a championship spelling bee winner, I couldn't help it. Sounds fun, but the west coast is far better!
On this day in 1983 {February 12th} the Greg Kihn Band performed "Jeopardy" on the ABC-TV program 'American Bandstand'... At the time the song was at #56 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and twelve weeks later on May 1st, 1983 it peaked at #2* {for 1 week}... And in April 3rd, 1983 it reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart... Between 1981 and 1986 the band had six Top 100 records; their next biggest hit was "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)", which peaked at #15 {for 2 weeks} on August 30th, 1981... * The week "Jeopardy" peaked at #2; the #1 record for that week was "Beat It" by Michael Jackson...
Excellent info, been 30 years since i danced to this. I did the same thing, followed "please don't go" by KC and the sunshine band. The first #1 of the 80's. Still remember the album cover. Excellent bakto80s
+tobagotb10 I had the 12' of ''Spank'' What about '' You Get Me Hot '' - Jimmy Bo Horne. I never heard of Patrick Crowley, I've got to look that one up.
An Old Skool physical activity, done to rocking beats to fool you into thinking you're having fun, when actually, you're risking limbs and muscle damage partaking in such foolish behaviour, and probably getting fit too!!!!!
At the time, only files associated with "Art Fleming" might have informed that lyrical allusion. Just to weird things up (no pun intended), this and the more-well-known parody hit the airwaves around the time Team Griffin was figuring out "Jeopardy 2.0", which eventually launched in '84
Who would have 'thunk it' that in 2019 I would get totally addicted to this song all over again as I did when it was 1st released~hell maybe even more now than before!!! Love it!
Music touches and sings to the soul. You're so right about what you said. Music has gotten me through very difficult times in my life as well. I wish you much happiness. 😃
@@TheInkPitOx But that's not all! You also made yourself look like a jerk in front of millions of people, and you brought shame and disgrace on your family name for generations to come! You don't get to come back tomorrow! You don't even a lousy copy of our home game! YOUR A COMPLETE LOSER!!!!!
Roadied for Larry Lynch for years. Solid drummer if there ever was one. In 1987 he made me sit and play to jazz, Michael Jackson, Bossa Nova...Just to make sure I had a grip on meter. Other than Buddy Rich....best drummer I ever met. Just listen to that solid meter....right?
