In .my opinion if any preacher doesnt preach the whole gospel. Like it outlined in the New Testament book of Acts the plan of Salvation is Acts 2:38 is preaching another gospel. Galatians 1:7-9. Peter, Paul, Philip, thomas ,Matthew. Andrew, john all preached the same gospel
The lights and slow music is to create a welcoming atmosphere for the person you are praying for. I prefer to pray in my room with the lights off. Like do u sleep with the lights on! So unnecessary to mentioned that in your sermon. How can you believe in walking on water, getting swallowed by a fish ect but don't believe in being slain by the Holy Spirit. Instead of watching it on TV.... Have you been to a church where the Holy Spirit slains people? U will find it very real. Please don't divide Christians. Just because some speaks in tongues and some don't, doesn't mean the other is Christian and the other is not. People that goes to Pastor Greg's church, are just the same Christian that goes to a Holy Spirit slain church. We Believe in the same Bible and God as you. Just because we do 1 thing different, does not give you the right to make fun of it.
These modern day preachers and evangelists preach another gospel. They dont preach the boom of acts they. Presch their own style self revelation and interpretation ichty ears doctrine and trinity
Greg Laurie teaches the two most deceptive heresies being taught by ministers claiming to know Christ. (Mat .24:4-5, 2 Pet 2:1) Once saved always saved and Jesus gathers His elect before the Beast wars against the saints is not in the bible nor from the Holy Spirit! (1 Tim 4:1, Luke 21:8)
The evidence of BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT is THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES preachers in their mental intelligence have been deceived by the enemy to spin the WORD of GOD seen especially in 1Corinthians 14:2 and the rest of that chapter and the application in the Book of Acts. Acts 10:45-46 refers to how the Holy Spirit fell on those who were in the house of Cornelius and the SPOKE IN OTHER TONGUES. All the things Greg Laurie describes - the desire for the Word etc. comes when a person is TRULY born again of the LORD's Spirit. However they will not proceed long on that route without seeking the INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - THEY LOVE WHAT THE LORD LOVES AND WILL BE EAGER TO DO HS WILL. As Paul says - in 1Corinthians 14:5 - he wished that all would speak in other Tongues that edify and build up the person speaking. However he prefers an message by revelation given to build a congregation (called prophecy in the KJV). The urgency of the Spirit at this time is the Infilling of the Spirit. We have John McArthur speaking against it in a book and Dr.. Michael Brown responding both by a boo and an interview.
I don't consider Greg Laurie a good bible teacher one bit. The old-timers like Harry Ironside knew the Scriptures. Today's church is more concerned with gibberish and think they believe they are speaking in tongues, when it is not a foreign language, and are less concerned with justification, sanctification, and a live of holiness. And evidence of that is widespread in America's "carnal churches" that live like the world!
