It’s videos like these that reminds us how many legendary V8 Supercars drivers are no longer racing. I truly miss the good old days of the late 90s and 2000s. 2003/2004 Bathursts were the best I ever watched.
Geez Murph snr I thought you scared the crap out of of the young bloke and then I thought that he needed a bucket to throw up in cause he looked pale a very worried but hey you both had fun and there is no better fun than having time with your own kids
Anyone that has ridden shorgun in a Supercar knows how it feels at turn one, you jump on the invisible brake pedal nice and early before the corner and swear your about to overshoot the corner and end up in the wall. The rest of the experience is easy once you get through the first corner. What makes a Supercar quick around any race track, is what makes them stop.
I haven’t sat in a V8 Supercar but I’ve done a hot lap in a V8 SuperTourer with young Simon Evans as the driver. They were powered by a sealed LS7 and sequential 6 speed Quaife. What got me wasn’t so much the power of the LS, but the bloody brakes! The force of deceleration was unreal!! Sounded mint too!
