Greg Page talks 3 months After SCA about Gratitude and Awareness 

Dear Greg Page, I have been a huge fan of the wiggles when I was a kid. I am born in 2002. Starting watching yall when I was 2. In 2006, when I heard that you were leaving the wiggles, I was mad. I didn't know anything, but as I get older, I start to understand that it was for your health, and I respect it. I continued watching, as time went on. In 2012, I was so happy that you came back. Months later, I was sad about hearing that you were retiring. But again, it was for your health. 7 years later, I wanted to go to the wiggles concert for bushfire relief. But I live in the U.S. and I got school so I cannot. A day later, I hear that you suffered a cardiac arrest. I was heartbroken. I prayed for you since, and I am so happy that you survived and still here. People do not know how low the chances are for people surviving a sudden cardiac arrest. It's a miracle that you came back. I hope rehab goes good for you. Thank you Greg

Hello Greg. It is fantastic seeing you so well and that you made such a great recovery. Thank you very much for bringing so much awareness to a wonderful cause that will hopefully spread very fast to other countries in order to prevent more sudden cardiac arrests. My boss unfortunately passed away last year from cardiac arrest while outdoors where there was no defibrillator. It brings me so much joy that you are now working very hard to promote the use defibrillator in locations where they are not often seen, and are influencing others, including me to also bring awareness. Hey Greg yes I will stick with you too even tho you’ve been my favorite yellow Wiggle growing up and while I was a senior in High School I’ve told you everything about my life growing up and fun times with my friends especially with The Wiggles on Wiggly Questions and I hope you still remember and there’s been so many memories to create back to back while I was a senior graduating high school especially with you and The Wiggles especially with you and The Wiggles from the past 10 years and what you did 2018 even tho saying big thank you to everybody and also seniors that graduated high school I really appreciate that again and I commented to you about my senior year and my life growing up on your other videos other than Wiggly Questions even tho when you notice that me and everybody have been wanting Wiggly Questions the reason why I was wanting Wiggly Questions in 2018 so that way I could tell you more about my life growing up and my senior year now that am 20 and sins I turned 20 2 months ago there’s been years of me to celebrate and create and I thought of doing it with you and The Wiggles and while you do videos that are fun could any of them be similar to Wiggly Questions ? Lately my grandfather hasn’t been feeling very well. He couldn’t really move or speak very much and we all think that it might be a stroke. My dad was telling us the news about it yesterday and it had me in a lot of shock because I’ve never seen my grandfather go through something like this before. I had trouble sleeping last night because of it and I’m terrified to hear the results from my dad.

Back in elementary school in 6th grade was when I first learned CPR. When we would practice CPR they would make us sing Stayin’ Alive while doing chest compressions. They even taught us how to handle a person who is choking. I’m hoping to become a CPR expert in the future because I’m gonna be a day camp counselor for young children one of these days and according to my trainer, I absolutely need to know CPR

And it’s true that we have cpr in this world and I’ve been a wiggles fan for years and I felt 😞 3 months ago and 3 months later the yellow wiggle is still alive still to this day and it makes my heart to this day and it almost blew my world when we lost the yellow wiggle and now the yellow wiggle now retired and now has a RU-vid channel is still alive to this day. And all of the wiggly member was worried about you and Anthony was one of those members who was very cautious person. My mom is also a wiggles fan and when she heard it she was 😢 and upset and was like what just happen to the yellow wiggle after when he left in the year of 2006 and then after when I told my mom that she was feeling much better on the wiggles RU-vid page and we definitely need cpr in this world of what we are living in and my mom is a 👨‍⚕️ and she knows what is cpr and she done cpr and cpr is very important in this world.

Well Greg, I am aware of the 1 out 10 percentage rate of people who survive cardiac arrests in Australia, but in the US, where I’m from, 356,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests happen each year, 50% have no warnings, signs or symptoms before the cardiac arrest taking place, which no warnings, signs or symptoms is what you had. 475,000 Americans die of cardiac arrests and more than 17.5 million people all around the world die of cardiovascular disease each year. Hey Greg! Great to see that you are doing better! I heard that you collapsed on stage and I wondered if you had a relapse of your orthostatic intolerance. When I found out that you had a heart attack, I instantly did research on the whole situation, because I didn't want to have my childhood idol and my namesake wiggle be in a fatal situation. I breathed a few sighs of relief when I heard you recovered from your incident. When this whole lockdown thing is over, I'm going to learn CPR because of what happened to you. Greg, if you can see this, please know that your story was truly inspirational for me. I had a family member suffer the exact same thing you did in January 2020, this past Sunday afternoon. It was the quick response by bystanders that saved this person's life. As you've said numerous times, doing something is better than nothing. I thought of you and it helped me deal with my situation. Thanks for pushing this info out, it truly needs to be heard by every single person in the world, and I actually mean it.

When I found out you suffered heart attack at the end of the show, I was in complete shock and lockdown mode... I actually had the honor of meeting you back in 2012 when the Wiggles went on tour when you returned at one of the Melbourne shows and had a full conversation with you about how I had a Wiggles skivvy of my own and it has always been a favorite special memory of mine. Thank you for such a honest and heartfelt account of your experience. You are such a great bloke with a good heart and it is great to see that you are trying to turn your experience into a positive and making an impact and trying to inform and educate as many people as possible about cardiac arrests, CPR and using defibs. I was at that first Original Wiggles concert up the very front in the audience very near where you collapsed and was also still around at the RSL when you were being stretchered off in an ambulance. I think about the experience often as it had a big impact on me. So surreal. Hi Greg. I am so glad that you are doing well after the heart attack. I watched your video, and I was inspired. I think letting as many people as possible know about CPR is not so difficult. Because in japan, people who is going to get a driver’s license all have to learn how to perform CPR and first aid. I have also attended the class and I thought giving someone first aid is not so difficult as long as I have AED nearby and I know how to use it. I’m looking forward to see your upcoming videos about CPR education. And I’m sure that your job will make a small but significant difference in survival rate from heart attack! When Daddy was only 37 years old, he suffered from a heart attack due to an unhealthy diet he was brought up on as a child. Daddy had a stroke on February 26th, 2013, at only 54 years old. Now, he is 66 years old. He now lives in the local nursing home. He lies in bed, eats, sleeps, and watches television. Mommy is worried about one of my little brothers. His name is Zach. Like Daddy, Zach also eats unhealthy. Mommy is worried that Zach might end up like Daddy when he gets older. Every day, I pray for you and ask God to protect you from cardiac arrest.

I live in America and in both 8th and 10th grade we were required to take CPR courses in our health classes, and it really is EXTREMELY easy to learn. The videos we watched emphasised the fact that it could happen to anyone and used scenarios that you’d see in everyday life (such as walking through the park or outside in the schoolyard) to show how sudden these things can be. We also learned how to operate AED machines, another easy thing to learn to use because it tells you exactly what to do so you don’t have to think about it too much. It’s really, really not hard to learn how save a life.

Do you also advocate for people who have strokes? Because Daddy had a stroke on February 26th, 2013. He was born with heart problems, which caused his stroke. He even had to get surgery for his heart problems. He had his chest cut open and his arm cut open. Due to his stroke, he cannot do all the things he used to do. Well, he can still talk, laugh, sing, give hugs, hold hands, shake hands, and watch TV. Well, he can't talk in complete sentences, but his vocabulary mostly consists of change, hey, and when. Whenever he wants something, he says hey. He can also count. Daddy needs to use a wheelchair to get around. Daddy's stroke is also very tiring for Mommy because she has to cook for him, help him go to the bathroom, get him dressed to go to church, get him snacks, change his diapers, do his laundry, and all of that other stuff. She also has to take him to doctors appointments.

Hi Greg, I don't expect you to read this, but I want to... thank you. I want to thank you for my childhood, for my inspiration to pursue musical theatre, because if you weren't a part of The Wiggles, I don't think that I would be so passionate in music. I have schizencephaly brain damage and hemiplegia cerebral palsy, so I was always very self-aware of my disabilities, aware that my right side of my body doesn't work right. Watching The Wiggles growing up made me forget about it; I wasn't focused on my paralysis, I was just worried about waking up Jeff and dancing to Hot Potato. When I found out that you had suffered a cardiac arrest, I thought I would lose a part of my childhood. I didn't want to lose my literal inspiration for my passion in music; I would be... devastated if I did. You're my hero, Greg. Thank you for everything in my life; I just wish I could say this in person.
