This guy is incredible, I've seen him twice and I'm kinda glad he's not all that well known that way I can keep going to see him live and sit about 10 feet from the stage.
@@princeosars3298 My interpretation is that it's a weary traveller, who's travelled a lot in search of something and is yearning to go back home to their loved ones. The train takes or "shoots" the traveller to different places, the "churches" are seen as a symbol of hope in the traveller's trying times, a place where he gets his strength. But at a point of time, churches and trains start looking same, it's an endless cycle the traveller wants to break out of and go back home.
I moved to Amsterdam 4 months ago to follow my dream of becoming a writer. This is the soundtrack of my life; listening to it while walking through the canals is a precious gift from life.
"Amsterdam" All inside our Amsterdam she hides Watery-eyed That howling wind, she's waving hi Her other hand's in mine Oh silhouette She's growing tall and fine She's got my back She'll follow me down every street No matter what my crime All inside our Amsterdam she flies Hoarding the kites That howling wind, she'll take everything But she's easy on the eyes Churches and trains They all look the same to me now They shoot you some place While we ache to come home somehow
Utterly spellbinding. Sadly I find myself hoping they don't become better known and polluted by the music industry ending up in the dead end of highly paying gigs like The Dave Mathews Band.
