I doubt, Mazinger technically exists in the Grendizer continuity, but it was unused because it was a last moment choice

It has Kohei Tanaka who's delivered a lot for the mecha genre in the OST field, so perhaps he may even honour Kikuchi who he once worked under.

This mazinger very much resemble the mazinger z from mazinkiser , so i suspect mazinkiser will appear at some point as an upgrade to z

Because it is. The original anime, UFO Robot Grendizer, came out in the 70s as a spin-off to Mazinger Z, the first Mecha anime.

@@donkichu6423 I know of Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger and knew there were more but those cartoons were not available to me as a child. My first giant robot anime to watch and "transformer" was Raiden who went from robot mode to God-bird mode.

What blindness are you talking about? When you remake something you're supposed to enhance it, not to make it worse than the original for the sake of being modern. Look at the characters, mere sketches of kindergarten children, and the robots sequences would do for an average videogame. I mean, I didn't demand a Gundam-like quality, but this is worse than the Pokemon. Here's what happens when the artist doesn't work out of inspiration but for arab money. Poor Grandizer

@@donato_donato it's incredibile how you were able to write 12 lines and yet nothing was said. Those characters look like kindergarten children? You literally never saw a child in real life, I can tell. And I can see that the new designs are different than the older ones, but this is not a reason to consider them bad. Daisuke looks younger, but Daisuke is technically younger (20) than how Toei portrayed him so I am not sure that the mistake is made by the U series. Besides "remakes are made to enhance"? I don't think that's what remaking means. Technically you don't know but it's not that hard to make a better Grendizer series than the Toei one. U's designs are controversial but other than that nothing says the story won't be better. In the end we love the characters for what they do. So either stop being a dramatic toxic fan or simply shut up. Because it's absurd that you have to remind us of your hate for this anime so much. If you don't like it don't watch it. Oh and Remember: Grendizer was made JUST for money already in the 70's or Koji wouldn't have existed there.

GO Nagai select the biggest name in japan to work on this project, i watched the official concert for announcing the project in japan, he said that he will put all his weight to introduce a great anime, its a totally japanese project, the saudi company is responsible only for marketing the project in all the world except japan its been 48 years since the original anime, they don't care about the old generation opinion, they are targeting the new generation many people like the new design and find it amazing while most of the old one (including arabs) doesn't like the duke fleed new look or the new music style, I Found the robot design very cool and the story looks promising and many thanks for GO Nagai and the Saudi Company to re-introduce the king of space in the modern era

@@minicle426 Best it will get is a live action movie, it was partially a Sunrise production as well and that studio normally doesn't do remakes of old mecha anime series they worked on.

Which... Says nothing really. The anime is called Grendizer U, doesn't mean Mazinger Z can't be an ally. This is not a 70's anime, they can do this if they wish

Io non riesco proprio a farmelo piacere. Il chara di evangelion è un pugno in un occhio e la CG rende tutto come se nuotasse in acqua.. lento e intangibile. Anche le musiche mi paiono molto anonime. Spero con tutto il cuore di essere smentito dal prodotto finale.

I hope so, i'm tired as hell of seeing Koji left behind with the "oh look i got a better version of your robot" like ffs just upgrade the Z for good they can study the technology from Goldrake too now that it's there so they COULD make something 🤔

​@@VoidSpecter080technically, they already did It once. When Z lost to the mycenean army and Great appeared, Z was rebuilt and powered up with the chogikin new Z that Great was built with. So if they want to actually having Mazinger lose still, but keep beeing relevant, they could Just go the route of Koji studying the technology used for Grendizer and upgrading Mazinger more. Heck, you could use it as a plot point for introducing chogikin new Z alpha (the superalloy used for Kaiser), so you can first have a "trial run" of the new alloy with Z in this, and eventually lead into a proper Mazinkaiser serie.

So, the question I have is... is this going to be the usual Mazinger Z who gets the Worf Effect to show how powerful and dangerous the new enemy is and get wrecked in the early part of things? Or is this going to be Mazinger Infinity Mazinger Z, where Duke Fleed needs to ask Koji to leave a few for him to fight?

@@IsilmeTuruphant Since this is Grendizer, I figure that Mazinger might be wrecked. Not my favorite thing to happen to it cause to me, no matter if the others got popular too like Great Mazinger or Grendizer, Mazinger Z and by extension Mazinkaiser are my favorites. But you know, infinite universes as presented on the Mazinger Infinity OVA and even the Shin Mazinger Zero Manga.

You're probably watching the wrong show then.🤷‍♂️ From what I gather, this is being heavily financed by Arabia. And Grendizer is 'big' over there. Far more so than Mazinger. So I don't really expect Z to overshadow the title robot. You can even see what appears to be Grendizer holding its head at 1:31.

I clearly stated that though I don't care for Grendizer, I hope that they don't mess up Mazinger Z on this. I know that Grendizer, and Great Mazinger have their fan base, me on the other hand, from Go Nagai's works I'm a fan of Mazinger Z, by extension Mazinkaiser (though he didn't create that one, and he still accepted him into his mythos), Koutetsu Jeeg and Gai King. That being said, though I'm not a fan of him, I know that Grendizer's fans need their Favorite Mecha to have its show, and I can get on this OVA because it has Mazinger Z but I wish that they don't mess him up, even when Grendizer is the main character.

It appear from the destroyed mazinger head that he is a lot smaller than grendizer, maybe just maybe koji will use mazinkaiser in the end of the series (then it will be the best show ever)
