Just an idea: would be amazing if you could suggest some alternative options for harder to get pokemon like Registeel and maybe also limited moves in your videos. As a player with not as many pokemon it is hard to fully copy teams like this, and finding relevant easier to fins alternatives can be difficult!
Team I've been using is: Steelix (DT/BS/Eq) Serperior (VW/AA/FP) Mantine (WA/AA/IB) With Steelix on lead and Mantine on SS. Been on a roll with this team both last time GL was in rotation and so far this weekend.
Arcanine(FF-PF/C), Amphros(VS-BS/TB) and Shadow Nidoqueen(PJ-PF/EP) and Primeape(C-NS/IP), Shadow Steelix(DT-PF/BS) and Charizard(WA-BB/DC) have been two fun teams i ran today in the GL. For UL, Poliwrath(C-IP/S), Skeledirge(I-SB/DV) and Solgaleo(FS-PF/IH) and Togekiss(C-AA/AP), Scizor(FC-NS/IH) and Steelix(DT-IH/BS) has been fun.
all of my opponents seem to run the perfect counters to this team! may try again tomorrow but today did not work great. never seen so many charizards before today, and can't get them on the Greninja
If only I had a way to either get a decent Medicham up to snuff, or even a hard counter to it. Even my Registeel isn't fantastic for Great League (14/15/15), but at least I have a damn near perfect GL Greninja. However, with my setup (and luck) it always seems that no matter the team I put together, the next opponent has hard counters to everything I got.
I ran Greninja with Lanturn and Charjabug...team actually does really well and covers ALL the meta with hard counters from each. Try this team zyonik!!!! I know you're looking for greninja teams!
Munchlax Azumaril Snorlax - 64 win streak ..a lot just thought I tanked. Granted I did pretank and I am a newb. Different enough moves, just tanky. I do have a greninja team. Love the speed
The ALGO is back. I went a straight 50/50 today. Just coincidence I guess. 2250 down to 2050 and back and forth. Insane hard counter sets and core breakers and then none. This GBL is so broken and stupid
Play against psychic and ghost. Also benefits from STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) because of the Dark typing and it really hits hard against Jellicent, Trevenant and the ever so ubiquitous Defense Deoyxs. Plus it also has a chance for an attack boost x2.
Hey, i have a question. Would you consider doing q&a video? I'm sure a lot of ppl would have many questions, i personaly have some about pvp itself, but also about backstage of making ur videos. I think it would be nice idea, very helpful for many ppl who wants to learn more about gbl ☺️ cheers for u, I love ur videos!
The algorithm sucks. The hard counters are ridiculous. I had a Greninja, Carbink and Medicham that was met with a triple flyer and in the next set Roselia, toxicroak, and another grass
All hail the frog of BOOM! This Pokemon single-handedly reignited my love for PvP and I have been using the DD, Greninja, Dewgong team you used in the beginning of the season. Building a UL Greninja as we speak!
I had my best run if all time, it's been a while since I've played battles, so I started at around 9-10 level, now I'm at 18 and I have a 34 win streak, it would've been 50 because after 15 wins it was a tie, and then 34 wins in a row again, eith the same team everytime, Starting with venusaur With steelix and medicham (my medicham is not even best buddy yet, nor lvl 50 but it's putting in the work!!!
My battles are going awful man. I'm using shadow gligar, dewgong and lanturn. All I want to do is hit veteran but when I get in the 2400 zone I start losing and drop back to 2300. It's incredibly frustrating.
Been there, man, I feel your pain. I've only made veteran one time, most of the time I get close like that and then fall back. Gligar is really good, but I haven't been using it much in open great. I face it a lot though.
In the last game you talk about the opponent not switching out the frostlass and what this tells you….but, he just switched to it from his medicham, so he’s switch locked or am I wrong? 🤔
today I played tapu fini shadow amparos and virision and I was always happy to see greyninja. And there was a lot of it, thank you for promoting this noob shield😊
Honestly if it’s the only one you have just double check how close you get tk 1500cp. If it’s not very close I suggest trying to find people to trade for one.
Hey ZyoniK, not sure if you’re aware but there’s a glitch rn with dragonite where if you use dragon claw at max energy, it uses a random move from its move pool at the same energy and damage of dragon claw, but the typing can change depending on the move.
@@ZyoniK also wanted to let you know I think it works with any Pokémon? Also not sure if this works in pvp, hopefully not, but it for sure works in grunt/training battles
Just had to let you know (as it is a common misconception) The animations for the pokemon are not made by Niantic, or even Pokemon or Gamefreak. They're made by a 3rd party company called Creatures INC. They make the models and character animations that you enjoy. The move animations are the only part niantic has a hand in. (thank you, dear niantic, for that glorious shadow force giratina animation:) )
Shadow Victreebel and Shadow Granbull. You either win or you lose, but the games go fast. I put a Gligar in the lead and wound up destroying anything that had a Medicham or any water types
I've also been playing Shadow Victreebel and Shadow Granbull, with a Gligar lead. Very hit and miss, but games go by super fast, which is nice for trying to get through 200 battles
Im playing with medicham (ip, psychic), quagsire (mb and sludge wave) and mantine (bubble beam and aerial ace). Pvpoke shows that it has a lot of counters but this team is fire.
Can I ask honestly, what is the surprise this team is strong? Of course it's going to be strong and win, it has fucking medicham and registeel and the spammiest pokemon of all time, Greninja. how is this exciting or surprising for anyone? This game is trash. Where is the spice? Where is the "wow shadow honchcrow we won 8 from 10 battles!" Thats something I'd care about. Winning with a medicham? someone call the news.
Probably because the team is ABA weak to fairy, so having a charmer in any position on the other team is devastating, also the team gets wrecked by double fighter… especially like a charmer+fighter team is going to run through this line so maybe that’s why it’s surprising.
Shadow Alolan Sandslash lead, Gligar safe swap, Jellicent closer. Double counter to medicham in the back, kinda. I’ve been thinking to switch Gligar but it’s done very well. Jellicent counters a lot of the meta
This is a really good team, I've faced off against it many times - and always won. It is the #1 ranked team so my lead hard-walls two of the three including the lead. Medicham leads all over the place.
They really need to nerf Greninja. Such a braindead spammer. No move that op like hydro cannon should deal so much damage and be that fast to charge. Laaaaaaame
