What I love about Greta is how much she loves movies and how much she loves making them through directing. And you can hear that when she’s talking about it. You see that passion in her films because she’s also either written or co-written her films which is a plus. Really rooting for her to win adapted screenplay next month and really excited to see her vision realized in the new Narnia films.
I got goosebumps when she mentioned doing Narnia. That was my favourite, too. Can’t wait to see it! ❤ This was so inspiring, thank you 🙏 “ Only the errors are my own” I love that quote she used
From Lady Bird to Little Woman to Barbie! A 6 year journey to a surprisingly entertaining and imaginative blockbuster is absolutely unbelievable! One year ago, I never imagined myself being hyped for a Barbie movie. It’s difficult for star power and behind the scenes creativity to translate into a compelling finished cut in this day and age. And Greta has a promising future ahead of her!
Very nice! Like everything she's directed, but ESPECIALLY "Lady Bird": Easily one of my favorite films of the past ten years. Even Little Women, which I did not think I would enjoy, was really good.
My gosh she is too cool. She beautifully explained the collaborative movie making process in her signature poetic and insightful way. I so appreciate and admire her perspective and talent. A beautiful soul I hope to be more like and such a directorial inspiration. This is well deserved.
I’m so surprised and happy that Greta wants to direct some Narnia movies!!! I love those books as a kid, and even shared them with my kids, but as a middle-aged person I now think of them as dated or that somehow I’m more mature or beyond them. Greta is one of the few, maybe the only, director who could breathe new life into those stories for me. Thank you Greta (I so loved “Frances Ha” and have been a fan ever since!)
This woman is history. I love the trail she blazed for female centered movies. She clearly loves art and studies film in a beauty way. She’s proved many people wrong. 😍😍😍❤
My favorite book was/is Little Witch by Anna Elizabeth Bennett published in 1953. Would be an amazing coming of age movie with everything going for it… pixies, magic potions, mortals and specials… Would be incredible as a movie and I can even imagine little Minx growing up in a sequel. Check out just how fantastic per the book reviews. I found it during a school Scholastic book sale in the early 60’s. Best day ever!
You rarely hear a male director admit they are going to making mistakes along the way and owning them. How refreshing to hear Greta not pretend her movies are perfect; thank you for your vulnerability Greta and for realizing the subjectiveness to every piece of art. This is why I so love what women bring to the table. Greta is such a role model to both sexes.
@@sberesford2523 I really wonder if these types of reactions grow of phenom of The Shadow Artist. PerJulia Cameron, Shadow Artists, who suppress and dismiss creators and creative activity in themselves and others.
