I just got one of these. It's a very, very good guitar. It's very easy to play. sounds great, and feels good.

there’s one at my local shop for like 460€ and needs some restauration, is it worth it ?

@@auguste1219 I'm not sure what restauration means. Did you mean to say restoration? No it's not IMO. For just a couple of hundred more (I'm in the US so I don't completely understand the pound system.) you can get it brand new. Or if you go on Reverb.com you might can find some there used in good condition that don't need any work.

@@justiceforall6412 I doubt he can get it new. They haven't made them in a long time, and I bet most of the used ones have been moded with different pickups which devalues them. I owned a Baldwin-era 6120, and I think my 5120 is built better, feeds back less, and sounds just as good if not better. Of course, I prefer a jazz sound over the twang everyone is so crazy about. So, to me, the gretschbuckers are hard to beat. It's a great guitar.

@@mickeyjohnson1137 I agree it's a great guitar. Personally, I like the twang so I put black tops on mine. I even have flat wounds on it.

@@justiceforall6412 I play flatwounds too. I've heard some Blacktops I liked and some I didn't. I think it has alot to do with how amps are dialed in.

There are a small handful of players on YT who can take ANY guitar and express the soul and depth of what the instrument has to offer. Greg here is most certainly included in that small handful. Thanks man for all your videos. Watching them saves me countless wasted hours watching something like Americas Got Talent.

Hello, what stringing do you recommend is best for this model? I have read that the guitar comes from the factory with 0.11 gauge stringing. Do you think there would be much difference in tone and volume if I were to use it with 0.10? Greetings from Buenos Aires.
