This is the new Gretsch G5220 Jade Grey. Its a super nice guitar that Gretsch just released. I saw it on a namm 2019 video and got it at Thomann when it was available. The amp I'm using is the BluGuitar Amp 1 mercury edition. I used the direct out into Logic Pro x.

I have the cherry metallic version of this guitar. I bought it used in mint condition for $269. Super great sounding guitar with easy play ability and well made. It killed my desire for a Les Paul.

Man, you got some sweet Blues chops. I'd love to have some scale note examples of how you lick thru that BB/John Mayer style kind of sound in the beginning. Really tasty brotha. I'm way too vanilla. Need some flavor in my life. Lol.

The amp i used is the Amp 1 of bluguitar. It's possible that the guitar will sound different with another amp

No. Mine will not fit in my Gibson LP hardshell as it is wider than a LP.

Great playing! What is that chord you're playing with a slide from the 6th to 7th fret at 48-49 seconds in? I can't figure it out. TIA

Thanks, that's a Fm7b5 sliding to a F#m7b5. The F#m7b has the function of a D79 with a F# in the bass. Position of the F#m7b5 on the strings is A9,D10, G9, B10

I'm curious about the colour of this one. On some pictures it looks kinda blue on others it is more greenish. Could You please descrbe it?

The Bigsby often causes tuning issues and requires you to spend extra money on modifications. It’s nice to have a Gretsch sound without the issues

I think so. Don't know which one it is, but on my other gretsch I got one thats only attached to the screw of the strappin

I have the same model, same color, but I could never get the darn thing set up right. So sadly I must part with it. Shame really, it's good guitar.

Yeah the tone isn't that open and clear as on a Humbucker guitar. The attack is different to, but I like it because it makes me play different things. But I know what you mean!

I've owned mine a couple months now, still love it. One thing though - a plastic panel on the back and the plastic around the pickups are warping/bending slightly. Has anyone else noticed this and what can be done about it?

? I have this guitar. Not possible. I have dozens of guitars & have never experienced what you describe. But, all plastics are malleable with a small application of heat.

Don't see any reason why you couldn't, so long as the measurements of the replacement fit the post spacing on the guitar.

These necks say thin U shape. Can anyone give some feedback on that? No local stores carry them.

Bren Miller all I know is I really liked the feel. I’ve been used to wizard type necks and do not like the baseball bat feel of strats and teles but these are just wonderfully playable. I’m on the gc app now and buying one .
