Your excitement in this video is palpable; awesome video. I noticed the seconds don't hack, and wonder if GF will introduce a stop-seconds, or zero reset in the future. I can't even imagine how complex it would be to stop a double tourbillon at an incline. Also interesting to see the combined brushed and polished bezel - I like when Greubel exercises restraint like this and let's the tourbillon really take center stage
Again an incredible watch and great video. You should maybe invest into a nice macro camera, with the watches you feature on this channel it would be breathtaking to watch macro shots
Watch Geek well the concept of his video was record it in the most realistic way as possible when you counter it IRL, for those kind of the macro camera, mostly for the selling or promotional purposes....
I imagine it's a problem in filming this stuff, but I have to say I find most Greubels a bit... underwhelming? I find a lot of other stuff you review is much more striking.
One of the finest haute horology timepieces ever made, and I have dreamt about this particular piece for nearly ten years! Congratulations Steve Hallock aka @Ticktocking, keep enjoying it dude 💗⌚
Greatest watches ever made? Lol no. Maybe the zeitwerk minute repeater? Patek's 5208? Jlc gyrotourbillon Westminster perpetual? Vacheron celestial grand complication? I mean jeez this watch isn't even top 10 in the ranks of those.
Now, it's obligatory to make a watch that's an exposé of THE QUARTZ CRYSTAL! To make that crystal prominent and visible, you'd have to come up with magnification principle, and then, perhaps add a high-frequency shutter, to enable a human to see the vibrations, that are invisible, but are AT THE HEART (!) of what keeps time. Doing that is art, sells like famous drawings.
i wish GF stuck to more traditional manufacture methods with all the mass production methods i actually see allot of mistakes in the finishing. which i guess is kinda good for the rest of us becuase if everyone thinks gf is the best finishing and they make mistakes then it brings the bar down for the rest of us.
If Steve was wearing this and met his fate on a sinking ship off a Greek island, an advanced civilisation would recover it from the sea bed in 2000 years and hail how advanced we were in what will otherwise be referred to as the Trump dark ages.
