I heard that originally, Bailey was the person who was gonna get shot in the S6 finale but they changed it to Derek (not sure but I heard something like that)
Shonda won't kill of Miranda Bailey. The actress and her are great friends even before all of this happened and planned for her to be Christina first but then realized that part is better. She's hopefully going to go all the way!
WAIT WHAT LEXI DIES?! SHES MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IM CRYING NOT KIDDING I LOVE HER SHE MAKES THE SHOW FOR ME AND DEREK I NEED TO STOP READING THE COMMENTS
The only person in your list who can return is Cristina (all others are dead and we aren't having another denny ghost sex situation or Meredith afterlife thing -_-)
Everybody says that this episode makes them laugh a lot and actually to me was the opposite, it was really emotional, the fact that they used songs that they already used makes the episode really emotional for those who are since the beginning
I just didn't know Karev could actually sing because of that one episode he was singing for the little girl. I'm astonished to hear he was actually singing and I love him
I swear I just finished that episode and I died 😩😂🥲😮💨✋🏾 I couldn’t take any of them seriously 😂 it’s like one minute there playing with an heart than the next the screaming out lyrics ✋🏾😭
@@CloroxBleach-up6hc So we should all change our jobs every 2 years because getting up in the morning and doing the same thing over and over again is boring and doesn't make sense? Ok
After reading the comments, I realized that some people either really like the episode, or just hate it with every fibre of their being. There's no inbetween. Personally, I like it.
@@cameronjames9626 honestly if you haven’t got to dereks death I’m gonna say it now Lexie and marks death was sadder until you get deeper into the show
+Tomahawk Alliance George leaves the hospital to say goodbye to his mother shortly after enrolling in the army, and when he is taking the bus it almost hits this girl but he pushes her out of the way and gets hit and dragged for like a really long time, and he is in the hospital but nobody knows. At the end of the episode it shows George writing in her hand 007, which makes Meredith realize it's George. They quickly rush him into the OR but it is too late. This is happening while Izzie codes and is dying, which then shows Izzie back in season two at the prom going up the elevator in her prom dress, and when she gets to her floor it opens up showing George in his army uniform. They are both in the afterlife basically, and the episode ends (this was season finale) not knowing whether or not Izzie is dying, because the last scene you see is people charging Izzie one last time.
Omg! Honestly bringing TR back for this episode would've been a fantastic consideration bc they could've done a "on the brink of death/a taste of the afterlife" scene (like the one Meredith had when she almost drowned) with Callie and George since they used to be married and had a relationship...and TR has singing experience and the scene would've been so intense...wow I'm shocked they didn't do that bc it would've been perfect
Me too! I was just thinking that today and was wondering why they didn't. It was probably because him and Teddy wouldn't Have been able to have their history as they wouldn't have known each other from the Army. Shame though cause I love it! I'm Scottish too.
+Emily Roberts well those kind of accents can actually be used to give a regular voice an edge. If you listen close to Owen's dialogue on the show, you can tell there is a certain gruff or edgy undertone to his voice, which is produced by pulling through the accent, but keeping it there to show power since for most of his time there, he is chief of surgery.
you know what would be a great twist? derek having a twin brother that looks exactly like him and it was the twin that actually dies. i mean hahahha thats a great idea haha. ... ... ... pls bring derek back
That reminds of when George O'Malley was on SVU and had a twin he wasn't aware existed. The twin was committing rapes and George got arrested because they had the same DNA. The SVU detectives eventually figured out the truth.
There are more ways to give a character closure than death... Look at Cristina. I was super bitter at the time but thankfully Chyler is back on a TV Show I love playing a character I love so, now I'm healing xp
I was PATIENTLY waiting for Mark and Lexi to get back together after he was dating the blonde eye surgeon or whatever she was,and I was sooo sure that they would get back together and finally,on this beautiful episode Lexi told Mark she loved him(the ''and I can't sleep, and I can't breathe and I can't eat part killed me)and then ONE,ONE FUCKING EPISODE AFTER THAT SHE FUCKING DIES..AND THEN HE FUCKING DIES..And my heart was crashed, stepped on,torn apart, and was thrown in a huge fire and burnt and then burried under the ground and thrown into a black hole..
+Maxine Pascual well but thats kinda what he was, shes married to callie so shes the mother too, he was just the best friend who got callie pregnant, it doesnt mean hes not part of the family but telling Arizona that she didnt represented anything just because he and callie did the work, rly fucked up
No, he was the father. He didn't have an agreement with Callie to just donate sperm. He was not less important as Sofia's parent than Arizona. They both said fucked up things because they were scared.
It's not the story of the episode that makes me watch it again and again, it's the musical performances. Sara Ramirez, Chyler Leigh, and Chandra Wilson are obviously the standouts but Eric Dane, Kevin McKidd, Justin Chambers, and the many others with smaller singing parts showcased talents that they might not have shown us as fans any other way or time. I think the episode was amazing but I understand why many people dislike it.
+Nicole David I watch this episode every 4 months or so for the musical performances as well. It blows my mind that a cast of TV drama has this much musical talent (Sara R. I knew about.) And I love the songs they chose. IMO - it is the best of the best when it comes to "special" episodes. I do have some issues with the overall story line of Grey's - too many people die...too many stories repeated.... how many people get brain tumors or Alzheimers or die tragically that ONE character knows or is related to? But the Song Beneath The Song was great TV!
I think if you don't like this episode then you don't appreciate music and theater! When a show has the ability to sink its teeth into you and then also tell an amazing story through music...I cry every time I watch Callie sing "The Story"....just brilliant!
This episode has some really awkward and unnecessary musical moments, but Sara Ramirez kicks ass. I just felt completely in love with her from beginning to end, beautiful voice, wonderful performance!
Recently a audio clip of Chyler Leigh singing "Breathe" has been going around on tumblr because Supergirl (the show Chyler is currently on) is going to do a musical episode and everyone is super excited to hear her sing again. Anyway, I haven't thought about this episode in a long while and that clip made me re watch it and god... This episode is the goddamn best episode I have ever watched of ANY television show. Every damn thing was on point and not just the singing.
I absolutely loved this episode, I thought it was so beautifully done, I wished I could have been a part of this, I felt like I was there living every scene with the actors. I was glued to the TV screen I cried, I laughed the music was out of this world, I fell in love with songs I'd only heard in passing by the originals & they didn't do anything for me now I love those songs. The actors were amazing there voices so fantastic. I do not miss this show every week it never gets boring I never tier of it, & when finished for the week I can't wait for next week. Thank you all for such a great show that you can just lose yourself for 1 hour out of your life & enjoy this show & the characters.
This, for sure, was my most favorite episode. It was brilliantly mixed with the dialog and music, and the story was unbeatable and will forever be in my heart. The cast did an excellent job, musically, and delivering their story lines....Kudos to all...And it was brilliantly written by Shonda and team, with the best in songs selected-- for sure!..."Epic"!!!
I adore this episode, even though I sob every time I watch it. It's so raw and emotional and really proves how much all of the characters really care for each other.
Oh my goodness, this episode had me crying 😢 it was really emotional. Everybody sang so great, but I definitely loved Miranda's singing voice. Great job to all ❤
I absolutely loved this episode and the cast did such a great job👍🏼. I was shocked at first, but ended up balling throughout this episode 😭. Awesome work Shonda and the rest of the GREY'S ANATOMY CAST 👏🏼🤙🏼.
How to save a life was my favorite song in that episode. Basically everyone sings which is amazing. I loved everyone’s voices and especially Chyler Leigh, everyone’s voices put together sounded amazing and I listen to it all the time :)
I was so impressed by this episode and finding out how many people on the cast have great singing voices. Wonderful surprise, very talented group. Love you all. 🙂❤️❤️❤️ Still miss the missing actors too.
Although I love all of grey's anatomy, this episode to me was absolutely the BEST!! loved loved LOVED it!! I go back and watch just this episode whenever I can!! Great job!!!
This was probably one of my favourite episodes of greys. I was surprised that how many people are good singers. Great job on the musical episodes amazing.
