I remembered crying to that episode when Meredith lets him go. Because I imagined him going to the afterlife, being greeted by George, Lexie, Mark, Ellis and Denny who handed him the baby Meredith lost in her miscarriage.
Even if she had it she would remember Derek because that is her soulmate no matter who she ends up with. Remember her mom remember Richard and she loves him more than anything too

My friend told me about Derek before I could finish the series so I stopped watching at 11x20 and then went back to the beginning and started over at 1x1 to experience it all again.
I've never really acknowledge that Derek is gone. Bcos there is only so much a person can take. After Mark and Lexi it all down hill for me. Of course I never really got over George death. I love and hate this show at the same time

because Shonda said that if Patrick would have left the show in Season 12, she would have to show Derek leaving the kids and Mer, and she didn't want to ruin the whole McDreamy image, so she killed him off in Season 11 so his image as McDreamy would be intact.

Thanks for making this and for the memories. I find my self sad because I do believe Callie will be the next one to go. The season finale is Thursday and I'd love to see them back in that bar bathroom where Arizona makes her move. Loved those two and there fantastic chemistry. Let's not go to the plane crash which lead to Mark and Lexie's demise. Let's roll back to Arizona and Callie's wedding. I'm hoping the finale will include some closure but I kinda don't think so. The only one who had any closure was Christina because she told her fans up front that season 10 would be her last year. She had decided that long ago and stuck with it. Here's to great times. I doubt I'll continue watching due to the poor writing and story lines. Loved the musical with all the characters singing and sharing their great talents each in their own way!

Let's just pretend the show ended at the izzie x alex wedding because first George then izzie leaves then mark then lexi then christina leaves and then derek NOOOOOOOOO let's leave it at the point where mark x lexie got together and meredith and derek were married and christina was still christina and alex x izzie were married and George was still alive unlike the stupidity in season 12 such as japril lawsuits (don't get me wrong I love them but they need their own show) and stupid jo crying and picking fights all the time and meredith losing everything and calzona fighting ergh I just can't take it

As an actor Dempsey can have an entire conversation with those eyes. For reals. He’s an absolute master of ‘face.’ Shandra struck pure gold with that casting. I really missed Burke, George, Izzy, even McSteamy, I sobbed like a baby when Denny Duquette died and when Meredith almost drowned. Greatest tv writing there.

stop at the end of season 5. that's when i told myself i would stop but i couldn't control myself and kept going... and i'm regretting it. stop at around george's death, before the pain of losing everybody completely changes the atmosphere of the show.

I had to stop watching after George died. He was my favorite so his death really broke me. I want to rewatch it again knowing that I’m gonna cry so hard seeing all the original cast leave/die

Maybe the finale shows that merideth gets into an car accident before we as an audience saw Derek died. Because merideth gets into a car accident and is in a coma. And every scene after Derek car accident was what merideth was seeing in her coma. And Derek is alive and well.
