She is British but she plays an American on Grey's Anatomy, she keeps the mostly American accent because it's easier than switching back and forth when doing the show or press.
Her accent never slipped once in Grey's which is pretty impressive given that Martin Henderson kept slipping into his kiwi accent constantly, and Kevin McKidd wasn't much better. I found Owen to be the most annoying character on the show.
Been watching from beginning and with you Jo and Link belong together .. best friends fell in love . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 great acting , drama , laughs , friendship, sadness hits all things in life ! Great show ! ❤
Tornadoes are super rare in WA state but in December 2018 there was one in my hometown in Port Orchard, a ferry ride away from Seattle (also notice that I said FERRY and NOT ferry boat 🤣)
Wouldn’t that make her authentic? The fact that she’s lost some of her heavy accent living in America and acting for a decade without an accent would naturally fade any accent. That’s pretty true to most people.
What baffles me is that she’s wearing the exact same thing and her hair is the same in this interview as her Kelly and Mark interview yet her accent there is VERY British! 🤔
i wonder why she’s trying to speak in an american accent when british accent would make her sound even more unique and sweet😢 british accent has a different charm 😩
Happens a lot when you move somewhere with contrasting accent- my husband is Canadian living in Australia for the last 20 years - he flips mid sentence without even realising.
She's great, I love her character and performance, but as an actress, you'd think she would be out the habit of splaying her hands so dramatically/pretentiously.
