I'm sorry. She was 33 WHEN SHE STARTED?! Girl. She is one of the most insanely beautiful people I've ever seen. I thought she was early 20's when she started.
I started medical school when the show started......went from being a student to an intern to a neurosurgical resident in this 14 seasons...........................i have njoyed it to the fullest
@@BabydollKai wow I stumble on to see this 2 years later, and I have 488 likes which I never saw . . . . . . . . . I have grown out to be a full neurosurgeon now. But times are hard. Thank u so much for the cheer . . . . . really needed this in this time :D
@@GossipGirl770 She could've landed the role at 33 but didn't start filming until a bit later. Grey's premiered in March 2005 but a lot of Series 1 was probably made in 2004 when she was 34. My maths is useless though so apologies if I'm wrong but that's what I'm thinking happened.
The show has survived because the characters grew and aged and changed along with the actors. They didn't hide it - they embraced it. And that's why the audience (at least this audience!) loves it.
I still hate it that they killed Derek. The second time I saw the episode when he dies I freaking cried like my own boyfriend died. And then he turns over and says to me: hey, i'm gonna die, too, someday, you know... Couldn't calm myself down for over an hour... -.-
5ra46 my cousin told me that he cheated on his wife and Ellen was friends with his wife and she wouldn't work with him and he got into a fight with Shawna Rhimes (or how you spell that)
His death was so fucking stupid that I didn't even feel sad about it. I was so annoying that he died in such an obvious way simply because he was an idiot.
Maybe because she's 48 right now and has a 14 season serie with her? or because she's 48 and insanely beautiful? It's Hollywood, it's all about age when the subject are women.
Mark Maybe cause it was about aging as actor? Lol But seriously I can‘t believe she almost arrived in her 50‘s!!! I remember watching greys since season 1 and I always though hoe beautiful she is and how women actually become more beautiful in their 30‘s and when I though that I was just turning into a teenager haha. Now she seems like she aged 5-7 years since season 1 I think it is worth mentioning
I like her she is beatifull in her own way, she looks natural and sweet , she aged early because at 30 something a lot of actreses can look about 7 years younger like Eva Mendes or Eva Langoria, but like I say she is beautifull the way she is.
Watching this interview gave me a newfound love & appreciation for Ellen Pompeo. She seems like such a genuine person. I always loved Meredith. But how I feel like I identify more with Ellen.
Guys, if you're complaining of spoilers, it just means you're not a dedicated fan. Next time, don't click on any interview or news about the show. Sheesh.
Ellen you don’t have to say that you hope your character is good enough once your looks fade, you are so beautiful inside and out no matter how old ♥️❤️
What difference does age make? Look at Betty White, many people love her, because she has a joyful personality and encompasses all that is love for people and animals; as she's an animal activist and a humanitarian. Why can't hollywood embrace more of this in a celebrity than the aging and looks!?
I think Ellen is beautiful. She was beautiful then and she is beautiful now. I realize that you can tell she has aged but I love that. I don't think she has had any work done and that's amazing. I think we are SO used to actors and actresses getting plastic surgery that when we see someone who is older and has had no work done, we suddenly think they've lived an unhealthy lifestyle or haven't taken care of their skin. When, in reality, they just chose not to get any plastic surgery because they appreciate their natural beauty and aging. Genes play a big role in how fast your appearance ages. I honestly think that even when she started Grey's, she looked very slightly older than she really was. However, it wasn't mainly because she "looked older" but more because she has such a classic, timeless look and vibe to her. You could tell, and still can, in her demeanor and her partially her fine lines that she is a classy, wise, and "aged", beautiful woman. It's possible that she once lived an unhealthy lifestyle but I really believe it's just her genes & stress. Nevertheless, I think she has always looked amazing and still does. She hasn't had any work done and I find that admirable & I love her & her beauty even more. It's always wonderful to see people who can definitely afford plastic surgery choose to embrace their natural aging process.
