Carmen, like other folks have pointed out, now that you're in adventure 3 you can choose any blessing from the base set, or Lamashtu. Lamashtu's nice because of the versatility of the bury effect. If not that, I'd go with another Erastil. Tim, I'm not a big fan of the belts overall, so I don't think ditching it was bad, personally. I'll be waiting for that montage. :O

Continues to be a great series. Carmen was not limited to basic cards in filling out her blessings now that you have started Hook Mountain Massacre. From the rules: "After you begin the adventure The Hook Mountain Massacre, you may ignore the Basic trait restriction; instead, you may use any cards in the box from the base set and the Character Add-On Deck, as well as any cards from an adventure whose adventure deck number is at least 2 lower than the adventure you’re currently playing." She should go back and pick a better blessing for her since she can choose from any of the B, C or 1 cards.

Still really enjoying these live plays I hope to see you guys continue with e pirate set as well, keep up the good work.

Okay, wait a minute. There are some very confused people on here. Anytime you see two or more traits listed for a check, they are to be treated as if it reads Trait 1 OR Trait 2 so that check is Combat 15 OR Arcane 15. Furthermore, there is no such thing as an Arcane Combat check in the game. There are Combat Arcane checks, which is what you do if you are playing an Arcane Attack spell on a Combat check. If a Monster requires just an Arcane check, you CAN'T play an attack spell on that check. So Tim, you played that correctly.

Post game error: Carmen chose Blessing for the feat, but now that you're in deck 3+ the selection of cards to pick from the box (if you are lacking a card) is expanded to anything upto deck 1 (choose something other than Blessing of the Gods). Cydrak over Belt... hmm, my thought is does a mere +1 make any difference to you (you are already +4 STR/ + 7 Melee); sure it's nice and easy to use, but one alone wouldn't make a huge difference. If you kept both Belts, maybe (since they combo), but not for just one. Cydrak (on the other hand) helps in your recruitment efforts. VERY helpful for the next scenario in particular (hint, not spoiler). I feel bad you dismissed the crown though, a recharge for a free Diplomacy pass is kinda useful (again for most allies).

Although you can defeat the Bandit Henchman without rolling, you should have still summoned him because he has a power that forces you to recharge a card before the encounter.

You're going to miss that Crown of Charisma in the flood scenario...

Look at all the villians and henchman they do not have a second word under the combat word . All of them have the combat check only none have the type of combat under them Dorella is a some kind of wizard and looks to be not effected by weapons unless it has a arcane trait listed on the weapon.

Be patient, Carmen, in "Sins of the Saviors" adventure there is a Venomous Heavy Crossbow +2, just waiting for You to pick it up ;-) And yes, I would have kept the belt since as far as I understand the rules, it helps with both combat and non-combat strength checks (since it doesn't specify the nature of the test), so it's an equivalent of a strength level up that Valeros can't get otherwise.

Did Carmen forget to roll d12 when she used Ilsoari Gandethus (Bob)? Chances are that she wouldn't get the Sandpoint Devil but you never know.

The card says combat just like the other cards but the second word is the type of combat that has to be used. Compare it to Iesha she is a non-combat attack. Dorella is combat but you must use Arcane against him or he will be undefeated.

The word or is not written on the card so what is the ruling on this. Yes there are cards that say combat or arcane but this card does not say that.

Yes its says that but the card says combat but then it says arcane so an arcane check must be used instead of a physical attack. No other card has a second trait under the combat word, look at all the villians and henchman none have a second trait under combat except Dorella so far. How can you explain this to me like Iesha only one character can defeat her therefore it looks as if only a magic user can defeat Dorella .
