On May 3, 2018 a four-year-old fawn greyhound named Hallo Jewel Pak died after she fell during a race at Wheeling and suffered a broken skull. Jewel had raced for nearly three years in West Virginia and Florida, starting when she was only 17 months old. It is NOT cute!!
Remember...You’re seeing what the producers of the video WANT you to see. We adopted a rescue...and the condition in which she arrived was horrendous. You’ll never convince me of all the wonderful care and conditions these greys receive.
What condition was she in? What kennel did she come from? Did you reach out and try to find her handler to ask about her care? Or are you just assuming she wasn't cared for properly? Do you have proof she wasn't cared for? A neglected or abused greyhound can't race so abusers are not tolerated in the greyhound world. Anyone caught not treating a greyhound like royalty is fired on the spot. Kennels are regularly inspected by state inspectors and if they see something not right, it gets corrected immediately. Your girl, if she was a racer, had the best care and treatment. Don't assume because you know what they say about people that ASSume right?
@@momtoty I started reading your response, wanting to be open minded. However, the absence of fact in your rambling coupled with your accusatory tone leads me to decide that attempting to educate you on the reality of racing greys would be totally wasted time on my part. Here are my suggestions: Open your mind to other possibilities; Stop presenting opinions and assumptions as fact because it makes you appear stupid and irrational; and before you begin “talking” like a know-it-all, try giving some background concerning where you get your information. In closing, we could have communicated in a healthy dialogue…but lobbing accusations and questioning my decision-making only results in folks like me avoiding and discounting people such as yourself. I know kennel owners and handlers personally. Do you? I've been adopting, fostering and finding homes for greyhounds for 22 years. How long have you been adopting? @@mld1525 Yes you are ignoring my questions. There is nothing ridiculous about the questions I asked. What condition was your greyhound in when you adopted her? That's a legitimate question that you seem to be having a lot of trouble with. And did you ever try to reach out to her handler to inquire about her condition? Another question that is so very hard for you to answer. Why is that? You are so full of bull that you can't answer them so you're trying to divert the conversation to me to make me look foolish when in fact you're the one that's looking quite foolish because you can't answer 2 simple questions. Nice try diverting though. It didn't work, but you tried.
Hnzuu The kennels are kept clean, but it['s hard to keep them clean 24/7 when puppies are running around in wet sand and mud and bring it in with them. They have a soft bed. They use shredded newspaper that is put down deep enough for them to bed in. It's very comfortable for them and easier for them to clean up when puppies go potty in it.
I have 2 greyhounds😊❤ but behind all of that cuteness They have a hard life after, and before they retire😢 where i got both of mine they were sleeping on either plastic or the ground, but after you take them, they can get treated well❤❤❤
Just adopted a black retired today and been watching your videos nonstop. Thank you so much, your videos are very informative. Keep up the good work sir!
Congratulations on adopting a dog, and kudos for taking in a black one. Adoption groups sometimes have issues adopting those out. Hey, Brian!! We just got our first retired greyhound yesterday!! We are going to be fostering him for two weeks with the intention to adopt him provided it goes well. He is adorable and he was very interested in today's video. Thanks for all your hard work! You are a very helpful resource for beginners like us!!!
Congratulations on the new dog, hope he works out for you! I'm glad the show has been beneficial in preparing you for getting a greyhound, thank you for watching!

Unfortunately not all greyhound breeders & kennels are as well run as this. There are plenty of horror stories here in the US. Looks like Iowa has a humane program but not many other states. Research it.
@raiden z Dog racing is an archaic tradition that values the utility of the animal over the well-being of the animal for the sake of sport, not essential goods like food from livestock or services that benefit society. In the end the only people who win are the gamblers.
Horror stories that are not true. Scam activist groups will make up stories and lies to get gullible people to send in money to "save" the greyhounds, when in reality, none of those donations ever go to any greyhound group or kennel. It's all pocket money. The kennels are state inspected at least once or twice a month, sometimes every week, so conditions have to meet state qualifications or there is a big fine. Greyhound breeders have big farm land with huge runs and enclosures for the puppies and brood moms to run, play and just relax. They are also inspected. Don't believe the "stories." They are simply not true.
Lmao Grey2K is a scam. Look up what percentage of their donations go to the founder. And, despite popular beliefs propagated by these organizations, greyhound racing in America in 2021 is very ethical and the dogs have better health and wellness outcomes than the average pet
@Kristine K What horror stories? Don't believe everything you've heard. Greyhounds are the best kept breed anywhere. They get the best care and plenty of love. They have to be happy and healthy to be able to race.
Very rarely do people get to have a greyhound puppy, usually trainers don't let them go until they are a year and a half to two years old. Of course, even though they are adult size at that age, they still very much act like puppies!
Another greyt vid, thanks for sharing as you don't normally get to see greyhound puppies. We finally adopted our beautiful black greyhound 'Lady' 12 days ago and she's settling in so well with us and our racing whippet 'Bob'.
Exactly, people generally only see them as adults. It was so much fun to see them so tiny that I just had to share with everyone!. Congratulations on getting your new grey, I', glad she has settled in well, sometimes they can be really anxious and take a while to get used to a new home.
Love you guys, thank you for the information, I find it very helpful. I am a greyhound mom for the first time. I find this information very interesting and sometimes funny. Looking forward to more videos.
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you have found the information to be useful. We have learned so much from fostering that I figured it would be beneficial for other people to share was we have learned.
A disclaimer at the end claiming this is not a puppy mill does not mean it’s not a puppy mill. Breeding dogs for human entertainment is abusive, no matter how “spaced apart” the pregnancies are. Not to mention the dirty conditions and lack of fulfillment and proper sleeping areas for the dogs. This is gross.
Angel It is not a puppy mill. Puppy mills are where the dogs are constantly caged and never let out, they live in their own filth, they never get Vet care and they never see the outside or touch grass. These greyhounds are always outside most of the time running, playing and just lunging around. Their living spaces are cleaned every day. They get Vet care constantly. There is a big difference. Breeding greyhounds to race is not abusive at all. The greyhounds love to race. They get the best care and lots of love. Racing greyhounds get better care than most adopted dogs do.
@@roblockhart8410 Slave trade for dogs?? That's ridiculous. They are not slaves and they are not traded. They are racing greyhounds that love to race, they retire and go to adoption groups and find forever homes or the owners keep them. You have no idea what you are talking about.

They are lovely dogs. Sadly, here in the UK and in Ireland, they are trained hard from about 6 months, and are often put on treadmills for most of the waking day. They usually race from the age of one, and although vetinary care is free for them at the race tracks, the large kennels don't use it. Dogs that break toes often have the toes removed with pliers and have to race the next weekend. We have the Racing Greyhound Trust, which rehomes retired greyhounds, but this costs the kennels £100 a time, and it's cheaper to either shoot them or hang them (yes, they do that a lot), but recently, the market for the dog meat trade in China, Korea and Vietnam had meant that many are exported live, where they are tortured prior to slaughter, apparently this makes the meat. taste sweeter. Please be aware that. Prior to them being retired, the bitches are always speyed by a vet, but the dogs are castrated, and this is usually done at the kennels without anaesthetic. Please be aware that globally, Greyhound racing is a horrible business with a lot of unnecessary cruelty.
Dear Lord..😭😭😭 we adopted our grey this past March. She is the loveliest sweetest dog ever. She had been racing in Dayton Beach Fl and was given up to the rescue because she wasn’t winning any races. Greyhound racing is slowly being fazed out and I hope and pray more people realize how wonderful this breed is and adopt one of their own. I will never understand the cruelty that is inflicted on this breed.
@@robertreid6794 I really wish it was. There are some good owners, and the family ones are generally excellent, but having found out the causes of the injuries from our own greyhounds, having talked many times to fellow owners, and not just to those who have rescue/regimes dogs but also families who race their dogs, and having talked to many vets over the years, no. And it's not just the large kennels, but also the tracks sometimes have a poor reputation, Doncaster has had a particularly appalling reputation for many years. I stand by my comments because when I first had a greyhound, I didn't believe the takes I was hearing, they seemed too far fetched, I didn't believe that criminal prosecutions wouldn't have taken place, and I didn't believe that so many people could be so thoroughly evil to dogs, so I looked into it. It's the same with wrote a few racing stables, horses are often treated as badly, but you can muzzle a dog, it's a bit different with a horse that's got four large hooves and can kick you into next week, or - as happened with a stallion for no apparent reason - it picked a steward up by his belly and threw him after shaking him like a terrier shakes a rat - he survived, but was horribly injured. The stallion was a stud so wasn't euthanased.
If they are treated so poorly abroad, then it’s even a bigger shame that the animal rights advocates shut down all the Florida tracks eliminated almost all the remaining tracks in the US. COVID was death nail of ours here in Birmingham, Alabama. I have adopted retired racers for 23 years ow from the track only 8 miles away from our home. We have been active volunteers and donors to our track based adoption center Alabama Greyhound Rescue and Adoption all of those years. I have personally been on surprise tours of the racing kennels and NEVER saw a single hound mistreated. Poorly cared for hounds will not finish in the money so it counterproductive to mistreat them. They group has a 99.5 % adoption rates and places annually over 900 hounds in carefully prescreened homes across the US and Canada. Now because racing has been closed down, the US based Breeders have lost their multigenerational farms and been forced to sell their dogs abroad. Yes, before the late 1980s, there was abuse and destruction of hounds but outrage prompted the industry to create strict rules and funding for their lifetime of care. They finally ended out the bad individuals from racing and created a system where the only hounds put down were those with Osteo, uncorrectable bloat or the very rare horrific injury. I personally have two shattered hock hounds who were given surgical Orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation. We have one of the best Vet schools in the US here and they have a program for caring for greyhounds, doing research on ways to make their environment safer & reducing race injuries and research to care for Osteosarcoma. Now all those well cared for hounds are living abroad. I would encourage anyone who feels they are being mistreated to advocate for a system like we had in the US vs abolishing racing. Abolishing racing here didn’t improve the hands lives, it just move abroad into less regulated systems. It also removed the hounds from a country where people wait up to 2-3 years to be matched with a retired racer. Someday when my beloved hound Atticus crosses the bridge, he will likely be our last greyhound. Our track closed 6 months ago and they no longer have any hounds. If you love the breed, advocate for standards of care not abolishing racing. Donate your time or money to making their lives better instead of forcing them be moved into to poorer regulated countries.
@@aliciahowell9617 it's an irony that these dogs generally absolutely love racing, and when there is no need to treat them so badly that they are treated so poorly in the UK and Ireland, especially when they are treated so much better in the USA. Family owned greyhounds in the UK tend to do quite well in races, but they have a much happier life and retirement. There's no excuse, but it is a relief that in the USA they are treated much better.
Would you be able to discuss ways of picking up greyhounds either myself or using some sort of tool? I'm very interested in greyhounds but as a single woman I'm concerned with my ability to pick them up in an emergency or as they get older/less mobile.
@Nothing Special You have to check greyhound breeders to get a puppy. If you want a retired racer you have to find an adoption group by you and get your application in.
I've been wanting to either adopt or buy a greyhound for over 7 years now, but when I finally could, the racetracks in Florida have shut down and the breed is very hard to find. Also, the rescue groups in Florida only adopt out to people who live within the city limits of the agency.
Yeah, we got a bunch of Florida dogs in during the beginning of the year. I presume the adoption groups down there no longer have any greyhounds remaining at this point, not sure though. Unfortunately I dont have any advice for you.
Hey Brian, I have a question. I have adopted retired racers for a while now. My current two boys are 8 and 10,5 by now. My older boy was just diagnosed with a heart failure. He's on meds and still doing good, but I know that his lifespan shortened a little. Dodger the younger was pretty scared when he came to me and He-man helped him so much, I'm not sure he will cope well, if He-man passes ( which I hope will take a couple of years) Now my question. Do you think it would be possible to get a puppy from a racing kennel? Or is it impossible to get near those?
@@GreytShow he's deeeefinitely still a puppy yep. I live in Israel where we don't have racing but we do have Bedouins who use greyhounds, salukis, and mixes of the two for hunting often. A sighthound rescue found him as a baby locked in a pigeon coop, and he was in the shelter for a month. I had always wanted a Greyhound so was on a sighthound lover fb group and saw their post about him. The shelter hadn't let anyone else interested adopt him because as you know, they're not very typical dogs and most people here haven't even heard of Greyhounds, so when I called and told them I was knowledgeable, then went to go meet him, they were super happy to let me adopt him :)

As a Greyhound owner, I'm grateful for Greyhound trainers. I have had 4 ex racers and they come house trained, car trained, crate trained. They are so easy to live with! My concern with Greyhound racing is that after Greyhound racing is no more, I think the breed with go extinct.
I ended up finding a video of greys being thrown off a dock into the ocean. It was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen; I was literally sick to my stomach afterwards. If I find it again I’ll repost it. You guys need to realize and appreciate that racing wasn’t stopped bc of expert care these dogs received. The dog racing industry was a travesty. When a dog stopped performing they were eliminated (read “executed”).
@@mld1525 That does not happen here in the USA. Every greyhound is accounted for and gets adopted or stays wit their owner. That video is probably many years old. Regulations have been put in place to keep track of all greyhounds.
After all the bad press about their retirement and how disposable they are it is good to know they are actually cared for during training and not chained up or taken from their mothers too young.
furstenfeldbruck, No, it's wonderful. These puppies are happy and healthy. They get plenty of love and human contact every day. They love to race. Nothing terrible about it.

A useless comment: Because greyhounds are so skinny, when my mom and dad walked our greyhound people would whisper: Animal cruelty! That is way too skinny!” They clearly didn’t know what breed he is.. thought he wasnt being fed enough
Harwinder Singh Greyhound puppies are not sold, they get adopted after they finish their racing careers or if they don't race, they go to adoption groups.
They will all survive. Once they retire around the age of four they will be adopted out as pets. This particular breeder takes extra care to socialize them with people as they understand these dogs will be pets after they are racers.
As much as I’d love to believe you, I simply don’t. A large percentage of these dogs will never even make it to the racing track, and we all know that ‘retired’ doesn’t mean a long lovely life with a family for majority of these dogs. The mothers are used like breeding machines until they are not allowed to legally breed any longer, and then she too is discarded. The statistics do not add up, and if for some reason what you are saying is true then it is the exception and not the rule.
@@miacohen650 I'm not sure which country you're in, many countries with greyhound racing don't have the infrastructure for adoption, but in the United States there are over a hundred adoption groups with waiting lists for greyhounds.

Every single one of those dogs are loved and treated exceptionally well, and the ones that don't or can't race are placed into a home almost immediately. I'm sure that this particular establishment is well run, and from the look of it, cares deeply for the hounds, but for every one of these there are dozens that don't. Breeding dogs for profit is not acceptable when there are so many dogs being killed in shelters. I volunteer for a sighthound rescue in the UK, and I find the thought of Greys being bought and sold distasteful, especially when there are so many dogs of all shapes and sizes in need of loving homes. Please consider very carefully before you make that choice.
I would not expect breeders of racing greyhounds to have any for sale. They specifically breed them to race. Around the age if 1 or 1 and a half they can determine a dog's interest in racing and any that are not interested are sent to adoption organizations. They are still puppy like in mind, but physically are full grown.
Stop racing greyhounds. You're hurting them over their life times. I have a rescue, and the damage she has taken to her legs from her youth as a runner is unforgivable.
Awful industry… best case scenario: they add to the surplus of dogs that need to get adopted when the racing days are done. Worst case: I don’t want to think about it. Shame on this channel for painting this “sport” in such a positive light…
Ryan R All greyhounds that retire from racing get adopted or go home with their owners. Right now there is a shortage of retired greyhounds and almost every adoption group has a waiting list of people waiting for greyhounds to retire. There is no worse case scenario. There is no shame in for painting this sport as positive because it is positive. Greyhounds love to race. You can't stop a greyhound from chasing that lure when the gates open. They do it because they want to and love every minute of it. They get the best care and love. Nothing awful about it.

@Cardboard Box What's pathetic is your inability to grasp the concept that you're flat-out wrong. You care more about being right than being educated beyond the propaganda. You have ZERO respect for this breed because if you did, you'd know that your singular experience doesn't mean it's like that everywhere. It's arrogant and ignorant, and the dogs ultimately pay the price for it. Oh, and I don't work for the racing industry. I lend my support and aid to the adoption groups that place dogs directly out of Florida. Oh, and if it was so bad, there would be far more anti-racing Greyhound adoption groups out there. As it turns out, over 80 of them were AGAINST prop 13. So maybe that should tell you something.
It wound great of you to not speak of racing in reference to greyhounds. We greyhound owners have taken great strides with much heartache to shut down ALL of these events and businesses. You make this business sound wonderful and worst of all, you are advocating greyhound racing. Yes you are. I hope and pray this video is removed.
@Crystal Price Greyhound racing is safe, it's fun for the greyhounds and the greyhounds love to race. It is wonderful. Stop believing lies from scam activist groups that have never been to any kennels ever. Greyhounds get the best care to be able to race. Abused or neglected greyhounds can't race. Anyone with a normal brain knows that. Greyhounds get a Vet check at least once a week at every kennel, they get exercised, groomed, walked and playtime every day. They get 2 well balanced meals a day with snacks and treats in between. They only race once or twice a week for about 34 seconds. Then they are cooled down is pools and some even get whirlpool soaks. Greyhounds are not bred to be couch potatoes. They want to race, to chase that lure. They love the chase. People like you should never be allowed to own greyhounds. You have no respect for their backgrounds and lineage. You can trace your greyhound's bloodline back 200 years. No other breed on earth can claim that honor. Shame on you for dishonoring your greyhound. Shame!
I can't help wonder where all these puppies end up ? Do they have a retirement facility also ? What happens to the ones that aren't fast enough ? Things to consider before promoting this industry. I suspect 1000s are killed :(
In the United States all the greyhounds go to adoption organizations when they retire around the age of four. Any greys that aren't fast enough just get retired earlier. In the United States there is a large demand for retired greyhounds as pets so they are not euthanized, though I wouldn't know if it is the same for other countries.
Right?!? And it doesn't help that the "host" is trying to sound all positive about the situation. It seems this video was made to try and sell this horrid industry as a positive to young kids 🤮🤮
@@Kherce73 What is so horrid about it? What have you seen yourself? When? Greyhounds are the best kept breed anywhere. They are puppies playing on the farm all day with their siblings. They're not taken away at 8 weeks like other breeds are. They don't leave the farm until they are 14 months old. Then they start learning to chase. If they have no prey drive, they get an early retirement and get adopted. If they show great drive to chase, they go to the bigger kennels and start their career. They love to race. They get great care. They are loved from birth until they are retired. So what is so horrid about it?
@@CuSidhe No doubt they love to run, but they do not have to be raced for profit in order to do so. What is the point in using dogs for racing? To give people something to bet on? They shouldn't be put in that position where they are open to neglect or an early death because they do not meet the standard. Not all breeders/trainers are ethical, not when their dogs only symbolize money to them.
@GreytShow, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, because your videos certainly seem to raise awareness of the breed, and interest in adopting, but this one is really tone deaf. This IS a puppy mill for the dog racing industry, maybe not in the sense that the conditions for the dogs are cruel or substandard, but it is a business whose model depends on supplying dogs to a cruel, and happily declining industry. Seriously, now that Florida has ended dog racing, the people who own the kennels there are pissed off, and because they perceive that their livelihood has been taken from them, the owners aren't terribly concerned about the welfare of the dogs or the optics of what they do with them. As a result, Florida greyhound are being sold to the meat industry in Asia for the first time. You really should consider taking this video down as it says in no uncertain terms that dog racing is acceptable. Leaving it up makes you look like a shill or PR person for the racing industry and the amoral breeders that support it.
I had not heard of any Florida dogs being sold to Asian meat markets, would you have any news articles from credible sources documenting this so that I can learn more?
@@GreytShow This might be a good place to start: cbs12.com/news/local/local-greyhound-rescuer-bound-for-china I'm sure this isn't widespread thankfully (yet), but the fact is, dog racing leads inevitably to dog cruelty. Breeders like the one that you highlighted in this video keep brood moms pregnant, and since greys have large litters, it lets racing kennel owners play the law of averages--if you breed enough dogs, eventually, you'll get a winner or two. What happens to the hundreds of non-winners, well that's just collateral damage in the pursuit of a buck. Yes, many make it to the adoption agencies, but many don't. Again, I would urge you to take down this video that makes this farm appear respectable. As part of the pipeline to the racing industry, they are most certainly not respectable, and again, by featuring them, you allow yourself to look like a shill or an apologist for the dog racing industry.
Another desperate attempt to garner donations by a group that is no longer receiving dogs from the racing kennels because she couldn't stop biting the hand that was feeding her. Maybe 30 - 40 years ago real rescue work was being done but greyhound racing has come a long way in the US and the transition from track life to pet life has never been smoother. Adoption groups that have failed to evolve with these changes and are still stuck in the past are still using old methods of bringing in donations. They perpetuate outright lies or claim old practices are still happening today. By definition: A puppy mill is an inhumane high-volume dog breeding facility that churns out puppies for profit, ignoring the needs of the pups and their mothers. Dogs from puppy mills are often sick and unsocialized. Puppy mills commonly sell through internet sales, online classified ads, flea markets and pet stores. Please enlighten us on how this fits that description, and try to do it without using the word "shill".
Rob Sass Every greyhound in FL went to adoption groups or to other tracks in other states after every track closed. There are no puppy mills in the greyhound world. These are huge farms where they can run and play all day. They are not confined like puppy millers. This is a wonderful video of the life of puppies and their happiness. You really need to do more research because you're posting garbage that isn't true at all. No FL greyhounds were sold to the meat markets. There's no meat on greyhounds to use. Stop posting bullshit.
@@momtoty Ah yes…the wrath of Ruth, who rears her ugly head ANYTIME racing, abuse, etc. are mentioned. I’ve tried to tell her you simply cannot talk in absolutes and be taken seriously. “Always well cared-for”. “All tracks are now ok”. “ There is never a problem with gray adoptions” “Everything always goes smoothly in adoptions”. Don’t know where she’s from or what her angle is. I only know that she only paints the sunny side of the gray adoptions, care, health of animals, etc. She came back at me several times insisting that what my family experienced was impossible. Thank god we never gave up on our Maggie. You can tell she knows she’s in her “furever” home.
@GreytShow "I must say it is an impressive sight to se these runs full of greys.." it is not impressive it is terribly sad. Dog racing is cruel, inhumane and not ethical in any shape or form...you should be ashamed! And you should really do some deep deep soul searching if you think this is ok.
@@rachelfurr2563 I'm sorry, are you asking what are my sources for claiming that dog racing is cruel? Rachel why do you think dog racing is banned almost everywhere in the world?
On May 3, 2018 a four-year-old fawn greyhound named Hallo Jewel Pak died after she fell during a race at Wheeling and suffered a broken skull. Jewel had raced for nearly three years in West Virginia and Florida, starting when she was only 17 months old. Tell me dear Rachel why did Jewel and countless other dogs had to die or get hurt? (And this is only a part of the problem) So that people can gamble for fun? Make money. I'm not doing this if you choose not to see that is you thing. I'm just very very sad that people find this acceptable. But the world is a cruel place. Humans are a cruel species. We really do not deserve dogs!! All the best Rachel! And btw. My source is my firstly heart, my empathy, and last but not least my eyes. ❤️
@@luciamxx A freak accident is not evidence of cruelty. The racetrack is the absolute safest place for a greyhound to run. It has been proven time and time again. I run a much greater risk letting my greys run in a grassy park. I know the risks and I am prepared for them. They enjoy running so I let them run. Should I never take them to the park for fear of a freak accident?
cucharlie2006 Yes, there is still greyhound racing in 4 states. Hopefully, those 4 states will never close down or the population of greyhounds will be almost gone. Greyhounds love to race. It's the best time of the day for them. They get the best care. They are loved by their trainers.
@@momtoty Dear Reader: Please ignore this woman’s comments. She writes in absolutes in comments that are comprised of lies and inaccurate information. Leave now before the wrath of Ruth raps you in her web of deceit . (I wonder if Elmer Fudd could make it through that sentence!?!)
@@mld1525 Seems you feel threatened by my presence and insist I leave or be ignored. You afraid the truth will make you the big liar you are? Too bad. I will ALWAYS and forever tell the truth, something you can't do. You have no proof of anything you claim. You want proof of the love they get? Try watching the unaltered videos on Greyhound Chronicles or Paint The Trump or Paint The trail on facebook or youtube. That is if you're not a coward and will look at the truth. Are you man enough? Will, are you?
@@mld1525 Oh sweetie, you are so pissed that I caught you lying. You STILL won't answer my questions. I KNOW the truth, you do not. Stop acting like you do. You have no claims to back up your comments so you divert, divert, divert. You are pitiful.
It's disgusting. Even worse, it seems this show has been made to try as "sell" this filthy industry as a positive to the young and unsuspecting. SHAME on the creators of this content.
@Tim Goldie Greyhounds do not have drugs in them. Greyhounds are drug tested before each race and will be disqualified from racing if drugs are found. So you are very misinformed.
@@GreytShow the video itself if people don't actually know the reality of what happens to these dogs of course the videos cute you see these little puppies and dogs running in reality they're being trained to be used in races to make money once the dog becomes no good they are discarded there are a lot of rescues out there yes to take these dogs there are also places that take these dogs and use them as a blood bank you don't believe me look it up what happens to these dogs is not right this is why I do not like this video because you're showing something that is false these dogs are doomed they will not be individually loved they are being used that is not okay same thing goes for racing horses yes there are people with hearts that will take some of these animals in find some great homes but for the most part what happens to these animals is extremely sad it's not right it's wrong I wish people actually knew the whole truth of what happens to racing animals. Unfortunately they don't know any better.
You're a moron. I know plenty of greyhounds that are well cared for that are blood donors for other sick dogs. They are all either lovingly cared for by Vet staff or individual owners bring their own dogs in to give blood.
@@justme.me.me. You don't know the whole truth about racing greyhounds at all. Greyhounds love to race, to chase that lure. They get the best care and plenty of love every day. Their handler is with them for 14 hours day, every day. If they weren't loved, the handlers would never spend so much time with them. When their career is over, they get retired and go home with their owner or go to adoption groups , never rescue groups, and get adopted. No greyhounds are ever discarded. Now you know the whole truth.
