Welcome to Greymoor House, a Victorian villa inhabited by some thirsty vampires... Greymoor was built in 1883 and was bought by the Valentine family, who still occupy the property to this day :D

"The Thing" is a great horror movie. It probably won't give you nightmares, but the story and the practical effects are amazing. Also, love that there are so many mirrors in this house. It would really throw guests off the scent lol. "If they were vampires then why would there be mirrors everywhere, Beryl? It's not like they can use them!"

That movie "It Follows" freaked me out for a long time too!! Just the fact that this thing could disguise itself as anyone you might know and it's constantly moving towards you... *shivers*. Beautiful build btw, the thunderstorm made it perfect!

“Ju-On”, “Tetstuo: The Iron Man”, “Ichi the Killer”, and “Onibaba” (This one is really old) are all super scary or generally upsetting. I found “Funny Games” (The German one) to be so unsettling that I laughed at my own discomfort.

Haunting of Hill House on Netflix is definitely my favourite piece of horror media. Its spooky but also moving and beautifully written. Plus there's a gorgeous house that was built for filming in so that's always a plus. Sleepy Hollow scared the pants off me as a teen, something about the atmosphere in that movie, I've never recovered. Thanks for your builds Aiden, each one is a masterpiece.

I love the music you picked for this video, it gave me Christopher Lee/Peter Cushing Dracula movie vibes! I also loved the little mirror reflection detail the devs put in the vampires pack but I hadn't seen a vampire using the vanity table before, that was hilarious!

A beautiful spoopy build with a “killer” storyline?! I wasn’t expecting dinner AND a show! I’m spoiled once again by Mother Aden and I’m for it! 👻💀❤️ And i agree, Vampires should NOT be afraid of those things. In fact, they should fear the same things as millennial gamers: sunlight and children 😂

The ring and the grudge are really scary, but when I was in my 20's The Exorcist and Poltergeist scared the living daylight out of me .

It Follows also has this cool thing where you can't tell what year it's set in, the settings change to different time periods throughout the whole film. Also the story you ended up playing for this build is better than a Hollywood movie, it's more a film festival diamond you happen upon.

Alien and The Thing are my favourite horror movies but It Follows was one of the best I've seen in the last decade. The idea of a relentless pursuer, that doesn't stop or cannot be stopped, only delayed, is terrifying.

Someone made lovely recolors of the vampire plumbing items. Can’t recall who. But they’re white with different metal tones, and I can’t live without them. Gorgeous build, and that inspiration painting is stunning!

@@melanie_luv2_sew i guess it’s scary in a different type of way than most horror movies. Like it’s not the classic ghost or serial killer theme, idk I found it really disturbing not being able to have a normal life knowing it will always be after you. It’s not like to can move to another house or call the police, and the fact that it looks like normal people and it changes it’s appearance, no thanksssss I would be paranoid

Love this build, Aden! And OMG, I usually don’t get freaked out by horror movies, but It Follows got to me, too. The slow walking instead of someone running after the victim…ughhh…so creepy. And I love East Asian horror and thrillers, they’re so good at those genres! The Call is one of the more recent ones I’ve seen and thoroughly enjoyed.

It Follows is my absolute favorite horror film as well. Instead of jump scares (okay one or two) it’s just two straight hours of constant low grade anxiety. Absolutely unique in my (admittedly minimal) horror movie experience. Def stuck around like a bad dream for weeks afterward too, I think because of that!

Love the build, love this story that goes with it. Build ideas: evil pixies or mermaids. I can imagine them stealing people. Horror movie that gave me nightmares for weeks was Blair Witch Project. Saw it when it came out before everyone found out it was "fake", that terrified me. I was 12 maybe 13. I hate being really scared so prefer "spooky" over horror and like vampire horror or slasher flicks, no paranormal activity, ghosts etc. I have enough ghosts in my life! Fav spooky film, the 90s The Craft.

I loved It follows!! The director I believe in an interview stated that was the premises for the story line was STD/STI horror. It’s actually a real unsettling story too which I enjoyed with the ambiguities as far as timeline and seasonal bits! Give it a second watch and you’ll notice all the finer details!

Hereditary ABSOLUTELY made me piss my pants. It was terrifying and amazing. One of those scary movies where you love it but you'll never watch it again because the first heart attack was enough. Another great one that's more horror-thriller is Train to Busan. It's how all zombie movies should be it's so intense and terrifying.

A lot of the Thailand and Japanese movies creeps me out but one American movie that stuck with me over the years is Rose Red. It’s about a house who keeps on rebuilding itself so the rooms change and I have a fear of being unable to get out and be free. 🤣 Another one is Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam. The story is great, there’s a series on it. But what makes it scarier is that this creature has been seen in my local area. My partner has had one living in the house he grew up in. I literally peed my pants when he told me. 😭

I know you LOVE delving into other cultures and such so thought I’d let you in on a few brilliant foreign horrors you might like!!! The Chaser (loosely based off of the raincoat serial killer that’s just been made into a netflix documentary) Forgotten (on netflix but it’s a hidden gem with a MASSIVE load of twists) Martyrs (this is a heavy one and quite gory but very clever and well made!) Big Bad Wolves (this one is on Shudder as well, very twisty, black humour as well!) Let the right one in (AMAZING film, just watch!)

Wow, this build is incredible! The scariest horror movie I've watched so far is probably Sinister, but my favorite is actually Woman in Black because it was the first proper horror movie I watched and it scared me sh*tless at the time (though not at anymore lol), so it has a special place in my heart. Also, the gothic vibes in that movie are impeccable. The Lodge, The Vigil, Under the Shadow, and His House are also incredible and extremely underrated!

I've always refused to watch Paranormal Activity because it was filmed in a house in the neighborhood I grew up in and all those houses are extremely similar, if not exact, versions of one another so it always felt too close to home. I don't want to watch a horror movie and think, oh hey that looks like my house lol

Ju-On:The Grudge isn't my favourite horror movie and it didn't scare me that much watching it and yet it had me running for my bed at night and scared to open my eyes when alone in the dark for about a month after watching it. Granted, I was like 12 but still, no other horror movie has had any lasting effect on me besides that one.

I was housesitting for my Sous Chef and he knew I liked horror and mentioned that I should watch It Follows while I was at his house. I made the mistake of getting high. Getting high and watching that movie in an unfamiliar house was THE WORST idea. I loved it though. The tall man part was particularly unsettling to me. Also, it was filmed in Detroit MI ❤

House on haunted Hill. The scene with the ghost face in the pillow.... I literally slept on stuffed animals instead of pillows for years. Also The Hills have eyes... it didn't scare me, but I hate the baby in the bloody bathtub.

It's not super scary, but "Cannibal Girls" is a 1973 Canadian horror movie starring a young Eugene Levy as the protagonist's boyfriend. It's just such a wacky movie & the perfect thing to watch after a super scary film.
