The fact that Grian started using this channel actively is awesome. There are so many content that didn't make it's way to main channel. I hope phasmo(or games other than mc) and this type of stuff continues.
@@DeluxeArt6976oh yes cuz a 1.5 million view average is bad I’m really happy to see more grain content I don’t think he’s desperate this channel has always been kind of weird with how it’s active. He’s sometimes just upload the turn on it and then ignore that for awhile to me it just feels like this is a Channel where he doesn’t have to worry about the algorithm, and if he has a continent idea that he can’t make on his main channel what he still wants to do it goes here
I think he loves the "sharing is caring" mentality, but for the game it's better to not have it there. The main reason being that it encourages greed and staying a bit longer in the dungeon just to pick up an extra coin or two.
Might be, yes. He mentioned that he wanted to fix it earlier, but since he hasn't changed it yet (it would be a relatively easy fix I think, depending on the design) he might have changed his mind? I guess what it does is basically change the system from "4 coins for a crown" to "every coin has a 25% crown chance" (but with some guaranteed crowns when having lots of coins) I expect the pay-it-forward to stop in like week 4, when it gets properly competitive.
I mean, he was clearly focused on what he was doing. If he were easter egg hunting, he'd pick the easiest difficulty. They're not going anywhere, he can come back later.
@@mr.boomguy I was thinking the exact same thing earlier ☺ I am used to Doc being the one who makes the most spectacular hermitcraft episodes. But this is.. (even though it's not a contest) another level I didn't know existed 😳
This was really fun to watch but I'd love to see what cards are in your deck. Pearl showed her cards before each run in her mega compilation and I really appreciated it
@@cukiesandcraem1480 Yep. You have super obvious ones like Tome of the Hills (JoesHills) Pearl of Cleaning (Pearl) Axe of the Screaming Void (Xisuma) Some more less obvious ones like Multi GRAIN Waffle (Grian) Horn of the G.O.A.T. (Doc) Shades of the Dog (Rendog) Some super niche references like Papa's Slippers (Keralis) and so on
Can hardly call it a minigame it's just a game, straight up - it's not a minigame within minecraft, minecraft is just the engine, for this other game I can't really think of a universally well known game to use as an example but it's about the equivalent of Spyro or Portal being called minigames for being in an engine which runs them This isn't an arcade machine, this took more dev time than some actual games (not that that says much considering..)
@@cadetkohr5508 you’re not wrong, I just couldn’t find a better word to describe it since it’s a game inside of a game which technically makes it a ‘minigame’
@@R3.i3. I know, I was more making a joke that while it is _technically_ a mini game, the scope and size of it makes it almost qualify as a game of it's own.
@@daedalus5253Grian is mistaken in this video and is later corrected by tango. The map works. It doesn't show your levels of clank and hazard, it shows your blocks that you have for them. Pay attention to the map when a card is played, and the bars will fill up.
Timestamps for the start of each run: 0:00 First run - level 1 5:00 Second run - level 2 8:07 Third run - level 1 15:45 Fourth run - level 1 21:21 Fifth run - level 2 28:49 Sixth run - level 2 34:14 Seventh run - level 1 39:19 Last run - level 1 Let me know if I should change anything
5:46 I wish Grian had done what many other hermits did and literally compiled all his runs in order with a number on screen to tell us which run it was, it's a little confusing without that tbh. Please do that for future weeks Grian!
Grian is definitely one of my favourite people to watch run decked out purely cause he’s got the perfect mix of unserious chaos but also tactical thinking. So please keep the videos coming!!
Grians strategy is perfect. Was waiting for someone to do this. He is exploring and i think the information will pay off in the long run. Building a deck is much more useful.
In first run you had easy difficulty - color of the compass tells difficulty. You probably changed it after inserting your deck. Order of steps matters
Hey, Grian. I was wondering if you could maybe pump the brightness up a tad on these. If others are feeling similarly, of course? Between Decked Out 2 and watching the Phasmo streams I'm going to need to see my optometrist soon.
Grian, in case no one’s said yet, F5 is discouraged if not strictly forbidden in the rules. It decreases the fear and tensions of the runs and that feel is huge for this game.
You should try peeking around corners and sneaking to avoid clank and ravager chases. I think you can eliminate a lot of bad runs by observing the best route to take slowly
Having never played decked out I feel so bad after the fact of thinking like a backseat gamer; just grab the berries and you’ll make it! I can’t feel through a screen what Tangos masterpiece is like. Cheers ♥️
There's a deep pool of water on level 1 next to a wall with a chest full of goodies in it! Just figured I'd bring it up since a lot of hermits miss it. 😊
Decked Out is such an incredible game and the fortress build is breathtaking. Love watching all the Hermits play through it and having so much fun. Thank you for sharing these runs Grian, and looking forward to seeing how future runs go. You've got this. :D 😊
At the end of every season, the server becomes downloadable to the public. When the world download goes live, it should still be functional, so you'd be able to play on your own copy of the world.
I say build up 3 or 4 ember seeker cards, they let you hit the rare cards with only common artefacts if you get a few, and guarantee moments of clarity even if you can’t really get an artefact due to bad positioning or something
I feel like it would make more sense for it to be a compilation of ALL runs rather than just the ones that didn't make it into the main videos Anyway, these are so fun to watch
Repetitive, bad for the algorithm, plus it encourages people to actually watch the main channel videos rather than just binge second channel Would it be nicer to not have to mentally piece it together and just have them all in one place? Yeah probably Would it make more sense? No not really
Decked out is inspired by the board game Clank. You will also be able to play Decked Out 2 when the world download comes out. Not exactly what you want but there are these alternatives.
FINALLY I've been waiting!! Decked out 2 is so amazing omg Also super glad Grian's started using his alt more I love all the side content (GIGS streams are the best) (Phasmo itself is best fr)
I’ll be honest I started watching because I started with etho like a bajillion years ago (seriously around 12 years ago for etho) but damn dude you deserve so many more viewers and I’m sure they’re to come soon!!! Love your stuff man you’re amazing!
And that’s not meant badly or anything, that’s not to say like “wow how do you have so low viewers” or something, I just genuinely mean it when I say I’m sure so many people would love your content and your as a person, so I’m sure soon enough you’ll be massive!!!❤
13:30 Grian, why did you look at the map to see what the clank was? That's not what the map is showing. That meter is showing how many times you can BLOCK clank. It's showing you what impact your cards are having on the game. The indicator of clank is the same as it was in Decked Out 1. The heartbeat. Your clank was pretty high by the sounds of things but not terrible.
It’s gonna be really interesting seeing hermits do the later stages of decked out and explore the map more thouroughly! Also I CAN’T BARE waiting for the season to end so I can play thi myself!
5:48 that might have been an egg location you found in the powdered snow! Bdubs egg was hidden in a similar set up on the other side of the map so maybe worth revisiting? If no one else has found that one there should be some crowns hidden there
