Really good opinions! Agree with the colours in Legends, seem a bit too saturated. 2019 definitely had a more natural feel when it came to the colour pallet.
Grid Legends looks better on most tracks colors reflections & track detail is better. Darker tracks & night races look better on old Grid. New Grid has better since speed it just seems funnier than Old Grid, Still worth the update!
One can only wonder how Toca Touring Cars would look like in todays tech consoles. Wouldn’t mind a remake of 1 & 2 game. Grid is just trying to be closer to NFS and arcade game style that is not fun anymore. They are really missing the opportunity to make something special.
yeah in legends its like there's no reverb or reaction to the environment in chase cam. Grid 2019 had the right direction in terms of sounds. BRB gonna reinstall the underrated grid game.
What annoys me the most is that the tunnel sound effect from GRID 2019 doesn't return in Legends, Also the car sounds from GRID 2019 sound way better than Legends
Both actually look verry, very good. But yeah, I think I'm gonna pick up Grid Legends the minute I see it on sale. I'd buy it now, but I'm working my way through GT7. Legends looks amazing.
Prefer Grid's more realistic colour palette but Legends is better in the rain. Grid's light blooming is far too intense but does give a more convincing atmosphere. Cockpit view is definitely better in Legends. What this really shows is how good looking a game Grid was for its time.
I like both, at least in legends they repair the kerb issue ( if you were cornering and touch one then your car suddenly spins). My only complain is that i think if the cars felt a bit heavier it will improve the game a lot. But it reminds me a lot of Pgr4
Yeah good vid. Just to update theyve added multi round matches in custom!! I perfer the last one..no ones mentioned it yet which surprises me but the sound effects in legends in comparison is awful! Also the graphics are better in Grid19 on some tracks I think. The problem is theyve crammed so much in Legends with all the new weather they ruined the base game.
Around 4:10 I get what people mean with Legends is brighter but come on, real life isn't as grey as Grid 2019 at that point in the video lol I think Legends looks cooler there with the lights around the track and the reflections on the asphalt. Plus Legends runs at 60 fps on PS5 so since I have a PS5 I'm gonna get that rather than 2019
Grid is better, Legends gas way too much saturation and cold colors graphically at night, but Legends looks better in daylight. Grid also sounds better, cars sound like crap in Legends.
Car handling in Grid 2019 annoyed me so much, especially around corners. Cars felt so slippery and it was so easy to lose control and spin round. I hope Codemasters fixed this. Graphics and sense of speed were great though.
GRID LEGENDS even though its like GRID 2019 2.0, its still amazing game to play due to tons of variety of content. And also Live Action characters in Story Mode.
There’s only one truly awesome grid game and that’s the first one. They tightened up the handling after the first one and sucked a lot of the fun out of it.
Es ist echt schwach von den Entwicklern, Grid 2019 sieht für mich persönlich viel besser aus und nicht so Comic mäßig wie Legends. Legends ist aktuell gratis im Gamepass für Xbox und ich war schockiert wie übel es aussieht. Dachte mir ich hätte den Vorgänger geladen aber tatsächlich kam Legends nach 2019 🤔
i really like the camera movement in grid legends because it makes the driving look so s m o o t h but i imagine it would be irritating when trying to get a good lap with the camera moving all over the place i also dont mind the colourfulness as i prefer it when games dont make the enviroment so dull in colour (not the map it self just the lighting) to make it realistic because lets be honest real life looks like shit xd so i dont get why games dont try and actually look better than real life than look like real life
I did a run of Okutama Sprint earlier and the section where you go through the tunnel was mad with the amount of camera shake. Not a lot of sense of speed tho, but the same with most racing games these days tbf. yeah i get the real kinda look. I think the only one that gets away with it is Gran Turismo, as it's what you'd expect
They just don't spend enough money on the games to improve the graphics considerably, cause racing games aren't selling as much as FPS games and aren't as fit for microtransactions for example. Look at Need for Speed Heat Unite Mod 3.0, that should be the new standard.
Entirely up to you! If you played 2019 & enjoyed it, then i'd say it's worth picking up Grid Legends as it is just an overall improvement on 2019. Story is about 5-6 hours long, then the career mode for after is an easy 30+ hours :) I feel like it may drop in price soon though, so might be worth waiting.

It's been proven time and time again that ps5 versions of games tend to run and look better then Xbox series x.. no hating but if yall gonna claim something like it's the best version that's abit of bullshit.. Thanks for the comparison. Does Grid 2019 really use 100 GB HDD space (regarding Steam info)? Grid Legends requires 50 GB, so it doesn't really make sense. Can someone please tell me the effective HDD usage of Grid 2019?
Thx for the info! I decided to buy both games and refund one which is Grid 2019. Interesting how Grid 2019 uses 77.1 GB, but effectively 102 GB on my eHDD. Grid Legends shows 31.6 GB, but 52.6 GB off effective eHDD use and feels+looks better.
