Our family has been walking through a tragedy the last few weeks. Your prayers along with the Love and Support you've shown are so appreciated and have made such a difference for us as we have navigated this difficult time.
In this video I also share some garden projects we've been up to, the plans we have for getting chickens, some house work and cooking along with our Easter weekend. Thank you for spending part of your day here with us on my channel.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been watching your videos for several years and look so forward to each one. I found you first with your messy to minimal series as I love all things decluttering and organizing. But as I said I love them all. I am a Christian as well and love how your share your faith in each video as you share your life. This one, I feel, was such a great witness to so many out there who are going through things and need Jesus. Nathalie, thank you for this video. As a society, we try to sweep tragedies like this away, but that only wounds those left behind and, I believe, dimishes us. My parents lost 4 children within 48 hours of their birth. One per year for the first 3 years of their marriage, and one in the 5th year. I was born in the 4th year. My mother was 21 when I was born and my Dad was 26. They were both told that it was God's will, that there must have been something horribly wrong with the babies, that it was "all for the best." My Dad passed away 8 weeks ago. As we stood around his coffin, my Mom said "You get to see our babies first" as she held his hand. More than 60 years afterward, those babies are a part of our lives. And a loss my parents lived with each and every day. I also have 4 living siblings, and we have always known about those who left us early. We know their names, their birthdates and the dates they left our family. They have always been with us. They always will be. And one day, my Mom will see them and hold them again. And my siblings and I will meet our big brothers and sisters.

This video touches my heart in so many ways. 32 years ago, we had a son who was born with mental and physical disabilities. He was 15 months when he died. God taught my husband and I as well as many others so much through his short life. Today, our 8th grand child was born. A healthy baby boy. I will never take the healthy birth of a child for granted. Even though I don't know your family, I'm praying for God to heal your hearts and continue to draw all of you closer to Him. I think working outside was such a wonderful idea. We found when our son was born and again when he died that we needed to focus on all of the blessings God gave us. We don't deserve those blessings. As you see the beauty and new growth in your garden, you will be reminded of God's goodness and care for all of you.

I couldn’t stop tears from rolling down my face watching this. I had a miscarriage years ago and my heart just hurts for your sister and for your whole family. Mine was an early miscarriage so I can’t imagine how hard this was so late in the pregnancy. But what a beautiful video, sharing not only your grief, but also healing and how your family pulled together to cope and also celebrating the wonder of Easter. Thank you for sharing…it touched my heart and I’m so very sorry for your tremendous loss. My prayers are for your precious family.

I lost a baby over 35 years ago I still grieve for this child. I do know that I will get to see that child again. I will never stop grieving, please never tell someone that grieving is a short time. I will hold this grief till I die.

I am so so sorry. My daughter lost our grandson Boone at 7 months. There was no reason found. Our lives like yours have changed forever, and we are still grieving but knowing He is in the arms of Jesus and other family member gives some comfort. I am so sorry for your family's loss. May she rest in peace. It was just before Easter last year that I miscarried early in my second trimester (in total we lost four babies last year, including twins). And yet, through all that heartbreak, I found myself for the first time really understanding what it means that our Redeemer conquered death with His sacrifice on the cross. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. It also made me smile to see that you gardened through your grief. There is something so calming about tending the garden. Love to see your kids joining in. Excited to see your cottage English garden come to life!

I am so sorry your family is suffering. There are few things that can match the comfort of family and faith when we are overwhelmed with grief. But I'm glad you found a moment to work on your garden. Being outdoors helps me find peace when I need it. Listening to the sounds of nature, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face or your back as you garden, watching the birds at the feeder, and just allowing yourself to escape from the grief in your heart for just a little bit to get you through the day is priceless. For gardening resources, try Garden Answer. Laura is a gem. She covers everything: food crops and storage, gardening for small and large areas, hardscapes, some crafting, floral design, and she has a chicken coop. I think you will like the overall aesthetic of her gardens.

Gardening through grief was a huge thing for me. After losing my dad very suddenly 2 years ago aged just 62 in that first year all I could do was garden. It got me out of my head and gave me a focus. I’m so glad you found it helpful too. Sending you and your family love and prayers x
