Wow talk about luck. I've been farming for Griffin's since Diablo 2 Resurrection came out. I've gotten windforce , crown of Ages, Cranium basher a bunch of high runes. All my money goes to gambling. Congratulations on such an amazing item.
very nice.. i actually got a perfect 20/15 one from pindle on the first day i started doing pindle runs.. since then i haven't got crap from him.. but he gave me that so im happy lol.. contemplated selling it since i heard its worth a chunk, but its soo pretty.. got another lower roll one from chaos that i wish i hadn't traded away so low..
17 million gold griffon?!?! GG man.. I dont know wanna know how many full inventories of gold i spend xD But really.. gz man.. great find.. and a decent on too.!
It should be possible at level 65+, but the higher level your character is, the better odds you'll have to get it, so I would not really go for it unless I'm 90+
I've spent over 690,000,420 gold since they added Griffon's in 1.10 🙈 and still haven't seen one from gambling... But I've sold rares that were worth more than a Griffon...
Griffon's Eye isn't even that good compared to all of the high-end Rare's due to a lack of leeching and bonus to skills, +1 is dogshit. Player's don't even need the extra % to lightning damage as they hit for so much anyway. The only reason it's sought after is due to how rare it is. It's a just flex item.
@@WardenOfTerra I play Diablo 2, because of the Yellow items. They are ,,Unique" for me, because literally, you cannot get the same item - they are all unique. Unique items on the other hand, are pretty much the same, except 1-2 stats. :P I literally drop to other people 90% of the uniques i find. I keep only top items, or items which i find usefull for some builds. THe rest of my items are Yellow or some runeword. Thats how i play Diablo :P
Odds for Diadems and Tiara while gambling is a lot higher. It's guaranteed if the icon changes. Think it's cheaper to gamble the other way circlets but when it changes to Coronet, it's guaranteed Tiara or Diadems. Found a GG necro helm that was worth more than a griffon. Definitely recommend people make a gold find barb or sorc and start gambling on circlets or coronets.
Might've misunderstood what you meant, but you don't get a guaranteed Tiara or Diadem whenever you see the Coronet icon, most of the time it simply remains a Coronet. I completely agree, gambling is really fun and I'll be trying my luck on Ladder as well, not much else to do with gold anyway ^^ Grats on your Necro helm!
Never ever expected to get a Griff and would not really consider trying to get it via gambling in general, just wanted to waste my gold, since I was capped. I did hope to get a decent rare one at some point, though ^^
took me about 25 billion in game gold before i gambled one. 1/2000 diadems u gamble will be unique. got maybe 1/15 chance to buy a diadem when purchasing a coro/circ. .... so yeah, purchase 30,000 circlets via gambling and youll find 1 almost certainly.
Wow. Only 17 mill that’s insane. I think I gambled 20 mill to get my first Mara’s which was very, very lucky. I guess I’ll need to try coronets next time. :)
I found this on the internet, but I don't know whether it's accurate and there is no info for my level (93), but I'd assume it's about 1 in 55k ish, not sure : For clvl99 - 0.0025625% or approx. 1/39024 For clvl98 - 0.0024635% or approx. 1/40593 For clvl97 - 0.002348% or approx. 1/42589 For clvl96 - 0.002216% or approx. 1/45126 For clvl95 - 0.0020675% or approx. 1/48368
Hehe, you can still trade it and get something you need. I hope to see one drop too, but it just does not want to happen for me. Never ever expected to get my 1st one from Gheeds, just wanted to spend my gold one something, since I was capped ~.~
@@mrmrsplinkegaming2426 Is that sarcasm? Fcr does nothing for assassin except maybe mind blast? trap speed is based off of ias. If sarcasm then carry on.
Cheers, funny thing is I just wanted to waste my gold, since I was capped, I don't even gamble very often.. but you know, things like this tend to happen when you least expect them to. Keep trying, I hope you get yours soon!
If you're trying to get a star of Jordan just Farm andy, hell. I think it took me maybe five hundred runs maybe a thousand to get mine. You're going to get a lot of other cool items too. Some people say to farm nightmare but I think it's a complete waste of time.
Haha, I just don't like the fact the background around my bow turns red when I have no arrows, also the icon that suggests the same that pops on the top right corner ^^
@@Error_4o4_Found I try to keep it as organized as possible, but I'm not doing the best job, it gets messy frequently and I just organize it again once in a while and so on and so on..
Nah, the higher level you are, the better chance you'll have of getting a Diadem via gambling Coronets, so the optimal level would be 99, basically you should always do it on your highest level character, I just don't have anything higher than 93 atm.
Whenever I get something cool, I usually freak out and try to explain to my wife how rare or how cool the item was that I just found is.... But... I do not think my words could express... just how NOT FUCKING HAPPENING this is. For you math mathematicians out there, If you want a statistical probability you're already looking at this problem with the wrong lenses, numbers do not go that low. This is some "Wish upon a star" type shit in a world where there is no such thing as wishes or gods to grant them and a god WILLS itself into existence and says "For you my son, I grant you de Griffon's eye".
Yeah, I never expected or was attempting to get a Griffon tbh, just recently started dumping gold on Coronets whenever I was close to hitting the cap and was mainly hoping for some decent rare one..
Back of napkin math and based off some forums, 1 in 50000, close to 6 billion gold on average would need to be spent, or 600, max gold stash tries. That's just for the griffins, and does not considerations on the roll of the XX/XX
I know, right? I was just getting into gambling as well and snatched the big one straight away. After that I've spent hundreds of millions and the best I've gotten is 2x Kira's ^^
According to what I've read on the subject, Circlets can't turn into a Diadem, only the Coronets have a small chance to do so and then there's a separate roll on whether it's going to be a magic/rare/unique one. Even if it's possible for Circlets to turn into one, I'd imagine the odds are a lot worse, since everywhere I checked ppl recommend going for Coronets.
From what I've read, one in 2000 Diadems rolls Unique, but the Coronets you buy must roll a Diadem in the first place and the odds of this happening depend on your character level, 5.125% if you are level 99, lower for lower levels. At level 93 I've rolled about 7-8 Diadems in total and got a unique one somehow..
From what I know an unique Diadem can roll if you are level 65+, but the higher level your character is, the better chance you'll have of getting a Diadem (when you gamble a Coronet, there is a small chance for it to roll a Diadem and then 1 in 2000 Diadems rolls unique). I would not start gambling for it before level 90 +, since even at level 99, the odds for a Coronet to become a Diadem are quite slim (about 5.1%, lower if you are below 99).
@@ELDRXTCH thanks for the info. I have a few goals set, and will have this in mind, when reaching or obtaining my first character, to 99. I have a sneaky suspicion that the grind to 99, If I can remember, was a tough one...
I’ve found grandfather, I’ve found Windforce twice, I’ve found a death’s web, and I’ve found the death cleaver Never have I found a griffons in 20 years of playing this game
It's tough, I've been playing since 2001 and haven't seen it drop either thus far.. in my mind, what happened here was just a weird and shocking way to obtain it, but I still want to see it drop during a grinding session!
@@jarot09For some items it's better to be a lower level, but when it comes to Griffon's, your best chance seems to be 1/39024 at level 99. (hopefully the math has been done right, I found this info online)
Yeah.. it's really unlikely and I wasn't really trying to or considering it's possible to get a Griff, just wanted to waste the gold I've gathered and hopefully get a decent rare one. Good luck to both of you, hopefully you can get yours soon!
That's not how gambling works, in fact the higher your char level is - the better the odds are to get a Griff this way. Just type "gambling griffon's eye d2jsp" on Google and select the 1st result for more info on the matter and what the math behind it looks like.
Yes, you can get it at level 90, but if you are a higher level, you'll have a better chance to obtain it, so if you feel like it, you might get at least 1-2 more levels before you start trying, up to you, though.
From what I know, you need to be at least level 76 in order to have a chance at getting Griffon's. The higher level your character is - the better odds you get. I got mine on a level 93 character and the odds of that happening are around 1 in 55k (each try costs you at least 120K gold or even more if you don't have a good Gheed's charm + the Edge runeword).
Hi, you can't buy coronets non stop from the same page, after a while they switch places with circlets and you don't want to buy circlets if you are looking for diadems, so you must refresh until a coronet pops again, double check the video if you want, you'll see the coronet I keep buying turns into a circlet at some point and that's when I start refreshing again : )
@@tobiasjosefsen2705 Yes, if you are specifically targeting the Griffon's Eye, you should always buy Coronets, because they have a chance to turn into a Diadem and subsequently an unique one. You can gamble at level 90 and get a Griffon, but note that the higher level you are, the better odds you'll have of getting one. Higher character level gives you better chance for you Coronet to turn into a Diadem, then, once this happens, there is a separate roll that determines whether you get a Magic/Rare/Set/Unique Diadem. Hope this helps : )
Someone has done the math in the past and posted that on a clvl95, it's 0.0020675% or approx. 1/48368, that being said, the character I gambled with is level 93, so the chance for me to get it is around 1/54-55000 I believe. Crazy!
@@ELDRXTCH that's crazy, 'X' the amount of gold it costs for each one, you could spend 100's of millions and get nothing, you got seriously lucky there
MF does not improve your odds while gambling. This Sorc is not a geared character that I'm using to farm atm, but it's level 93 and higher levels give you better odds while gambling.
