New album 'Miss Anthropocene' out now: grimes.ffm.to/missanthropocene Produced, Performed, and Engineered by Grimes Art by Popovy Sisters Creative Direction by Ryder Ripps
@@2chalk "what else could that possibly mean", he said victoriously. "Ever heard of the phrasal nature of the English language?", the other guy pointed out. What it could possibly mean is the present day in general. You know, during the last couple of years? Grimes' music in fact DID exist before the pandemic and I've never heard it in a club. You got that?

Holy crap, man, you're absolutely right. I always thought bass boosting was a meme and a useless feature, but i was legit blown away by how different the sound comes through.
LEGIT. When it first came out I listened to it on some teensie headphones. Then I arrived at a party days later, and the music sucked and someone asked for requests, and bro played my request - this song -- bro has a setup that will literally shake neighbors windows with bass alone, and jeeeezuuuus it was legendary....people paused, danced, trembled, smiled, paused again over and over.... sooooooo gooooood
Grimes is my definition of an artist who truly cares about her music. I never heard something like this before, I can say for sure that I fucking love it. Hypnotic.
Don't know if it's true or not but the "Sa Sa Sa..." part in this song sounds very similar to the Bollywood song "Deewani Mastani" and Grimes's songs are said to be inspired by Indian Music so this might be true, either way, I absolutely love this song especially the "Sa Sa Sa..." part it just sounds really awesome.
@@PawsAndFinsNewsy my interpretation is that the song is about the thoughts that creep into your head at night before bed. She says "you're gonna get sick, you dont know when, thinking about it, at 4am" it paints a picture of Grimes in bed at night contemplating sickness and general calamity. The "he says hows the weather baby, how you been?" Is just personifying the thoughts themselves. But, that's just my take.
This feels like a religious ritual in the middle of the jungle that's being attacked by Jinx. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0nlJuwO0GDs.html

Now I'm wondering what random songs from today our great-great-grandkids will be playing over and over. Or what popular musicians from today would be answers in Android Jeopardy! like Salieri is today (he and Mozart were about equal in popularity but we all know Mozart!)
Grimes is so refreshing from a commercial standpoint, from an artist standpoint, no human language could best express how much their music resonates with me.
Her music is heavily influenced by Bollywood music, she said that herself in an interview. I think her step dad is Indian so that is where that influence comes from. I LOVE THAT.
This song is extremely unique in my opinion I've never seen or heard of any other artist like her! Her songs gave me visual inspirations, it's giving dancing in the heavy storm at 4 AM preforming a dance for Aphrodite (she did mention Aphrodite in her song
If anyone is confused, this is D&B, DNB or Drum and Bass genre. And beautifully mixed with 2000s techno and Indian music. And perfectly works for cyberpunk universe
@@solalacrima7814 You should always keep in mind the feeling of creating your own, it is with that generosity of knowing that you are offering the best of you to the world, when things are done as incredible as these.
Ak This track is great, don't get me wrong, but people acting as if this is "groundbreaking" blow my mind. DnB is decades old at this point and yet they've somehow never encountered it, lol
...this is deliberate. Grimes doesn't officially release any of her lyrics, since anything you can't understand - you're not meant to - at least not yet, according to her. 'Til then, whatever words you hear are the *correct* lyrics/'message'. #respect
talk about a perfect fit eh ? ive loved all of grimes recent music.. its very .. well... cyberpunk... lol ;) as a teenager from the late 90s who got onto the internet in early 96 (in my home), its a style and feeling ive been longing for... oh how i miss the days of dreaming of the coming dystopian electronic future where hackers and internet vigilantes are the only people who do 'good' and know the 'truth'...
This song is so catchy and almost hypnotic, she sounds like a mermaid, or a fairy, or a witch, or a nymph, or an alien or AI specifically designed to make great music idk... Well it's just grimes ig and she doesn't disappoint 🌺🧚✨
Exactly! I honestly don't know which would fit best they all suit so well lol I guess with the level of her consistency to always deliver seamless, perfectly symphonic, masterpiece after masterpiece; Music-Bot/Droid not only fits her best, but may be the only valid explanation as to how perfect she is. **ALSO** I definitely think "Siren" should be included among the rest as well. Exactly what the cover art reminds me of as a matter of fact
This makes me want to go to a futuristic yet mystical spa that's open at 4 ÆM where everything is black and grey, and by the end you've reached the end of samsara itself, to be in radiant heavenly union forever.
anytime i listen to her music, i imagine her somewhere sometime dancing around a room of boards computers speakers and instruments just furiously creating whatever im hearing lmao, its part of the grimes musical experience™
aei - she does produce every song herself that doesn’t have a feature on it, so her first two albums were done by her completely, next two had a few features but still everything was produced by her, all the covers were drawn by her besides the recent singles that have this character on it
This song (and most of Grimes’ songs) are so damn good to listen to while running or skipping rope. Any cardio workout + her music brings me into BEAST MODE!
hi chastity ! i just wanna say labels like “severe autism” are very bad because it implies that not being autistic is “the norm” and that autistic people have something wrong with them. it also talks as if people that have different verbal/motor/etc abilities are “more” or “less” autistic, when that’s not true at all. glad your daughter likes this song 🤍 im autistic too and it’s one of my favs! have a good day.
@@stupid7345 i don’t actually think its harmful. (im autistic don’t attack) autism is always the same. its comes differently, so some are bad (bad as in like, its extreme kinda, but not that its a bad thing), and some aren’t!
@@blue-ix6kn yes, but someone that’s seen as “bad” aka lower verbal/cognitive/motor ability is just as autistic as someone with better ability of those things. it invalidates both people and perpetuates the idea that not being nt is “abnormal” or wrong
@@huskytzu7709 Tone is completely different. Obviously that song and others in its genre are inspirations but a complete rip-off? That's like saying every song with the same scale is the same.
There is more. I hear sampled song History of the Future by Camo & Krooked in the background at 0:52, at 2:14 and go on ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zXarE6fhwkI.html
"is somewhat danceable with a time signature of 4ÆM beats per bar." - SongBPM This is why I fucking love this artist. Bends the rules of tradition and makes music unlike any other.
Overhype won't kill it, but it'll certainly overblow how good the game is. To this day The Witcher 3 is still called "the best game ever made" but I'm almost done with it and only think it's good. I've seen storytelling done better, combat done better, everything that The Witcher 3 offers done better in other games.
The Dead Immortal Like what games? There was no game like W3 which would drive my emotions like this. Every good and bad decision touched me like never before. Every, even small tragedy touched me much more than in any other game I played.
I've been listening to this song for about like a week, and I immediately fall in love bro. Idk this song just have the vibes that I REALLY LOVE. Just like the instrument is by electronic instrument AND tradisional instrument. And also the voice fit perfectly with the instrument. OMG I JUST LOVE ITT!!
>"you're gonna get sick but you don't know when" >song releases just days before the Coronavirus outbreak Grimes please stop I don't want to play this game anymore
